Example of a sweat bee — Metallic colored sweat bee species are diverse, and difficult to identify to which species a specimen belongs; photo via zackzen Researchers Jason Gibbs who was working on a study of sweat bees discovered a new species while commuting from downtown Toronto to York University. It is one of 19 new species he found while examining 84 species of sweat bees in Canada — so named because they are attracted to perspiration — which are common in North America. The Case Against More Installments of Toy Story

Aside from the brief blip of Toy Story 2 in 1999, it seemed that Pixar was a company averse to creating sequels; now, though, they’re positively swamped by them. Toy Story 3. Cars 2 . A second installment of Monsters Inc . And now, while Toy Story 3 had been commonly regarded as the end of that franchise, director Lee Unkrich is reopening the door. “We know that people love the characters, love Woody and Buzz, and would hate to say good-bye to them completely,” Unkrich told MSN. “I don’t know that there would ever be a ‘ [Toy Story] 4 .’ We don’t have any plans for one — but we are trying to find ways to keep the characters alive. We have announced we’re going to do a short film in front of Cars 2 that uses the Toy Story characters. We’re going to keep them alive; they’re not going away forever.” What I’m saying is… maybe they should?

Beth Ostrosky Says Howard Stern Would Be A Tough Judge on Idol

Howard Stern’s gorgeous wife, Beth Ostrosky, says the shock jock would be as tough an “American Idol” judge as Simon Cowell. “I am so fortunate that I get to sit next to Howard when he critiques ‘Idol’ every week at home,” Ostrosky said. “Not only is it hysterical, he’s so honest. I think he would be great.” Asked if official talks were under way, Beth, speaking at the Fashion Week catwalk for Heidi Klum’s “Project Runway,” said, “He’s having fun with the idea. I don’t know, you’ll have to ask him.” We first reported that Stern is an early favorite among producers to take over for Simon. A source close to “Idol” said, “Producers are focused on the show right now, and no decision on a replacement will be announced soon.
