The Smiths attended Variety’s Creative Impact Awards at The Parker Hotel in Palm Springs, California. The couple was on hand for the mag’s 10 Directors To Watch Brunch where Will received the Creative Impact Award by Dr. Bennett Omalu, the man he portrays in the film “Concussion.” Always the supportive wife, Jada attended the event and looked ethereal in white. White House Releases Most Captivating Photos Of President Barack Obama From 2015 Happy new year, BOSSIP fam! 2015 was an extraordinary year for our President, Barack Obama . He had to deal with a maddening number of public shootings, a failing healthcare system, civil rights issues and all while trying to find ways to keep Americans employed. The POTUS shared some thoughts with us about his most eventful year via Facebook: Happy New Year, everybody! There’s a lot I’m grateful for over this past year: Businesses that continued an all-time record streak of job creation; a health care system that covers more than 90 percent of us for the first time; a country where all our marriages are equal under the law for the first time; a world united around a prosperous, low-carbon future for the first time. But mostly, I’m grateful for you, and to be your President – because it’s your hard work, determination, and fundamental decency that led us forward through 2015, and that will keep leading us forward in 2016. Jason Derulo Flaunts New Relationship With 50 Cent’s Bodacious Ex Daphne Joy We see Jason Derulo has definitely broken his vow to stay single for awhile following his split from Jordin Sparks last year and we can’t say that we blame him. He’s found love — or lust at least– with 50 Cent’s baby mama Daphne Joy . The pair previously denied being coupled up but after she outed them on Snapchat they were also photographed frolicking on Miami Beach flossing their flawless bawwwwdies. Natalie Cole Dies From Congestive Heart Failure, Suffered Complications From Kidney Transplant And Hepatitis C 2016 is only a few hours old and we’ve already lost a legendary performer — Natalie Cole, who struggled with several health issues in recent years. According to TMZ reports : Cole, whose hits include “This Will Be” and “Unforgettable” which she performed as a virtual duet with dad Nat King Cole — died from congestive heart failure, although we’re told the underlying medical issues were complications from a kidney transplant and Hepatitis C. Natalie had been very sick recently, cancelling several tour dates in late December including a New Year’s Eve concert at Disney Hall in L.A. She also cancelled an upcoming February concert due to illness. Natalie struggled with substance abuse and was plagued with health problems, suffering from liver disease in 2008. She also underwent chemo for Hepatitis C. Natalie, who was married 3 times and has a son, was 65. She died in a Los Angeles hospital. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones. This is such sad news.
