Dream Defenders Human Rights Group Launches Their #HandsUp Movement, Demands Change In Policing The Dream Defenders human rights group just went live with a moving video and call to action for citizens seeking change to seek out our local U.S. Attorneys and demand change in law enforcement. The time for change is now. The organization has posted a list of demands as follows: National Demands: President Obama must “Do the Right Thing” and go to Ferguson to meet with local black and brown youth. Attorney General Eric Holder must also meet with local black and brown youth across the country who endure “Zero Tolerance” and “Broken Windows” policing. Ensure transparency, accountability, and safety in our communities by requiring front-facing cameras in police departments with records of racial discrimination by way of arrests, killings, and excessive force complaints. Police need consequences, too. Officers who discharge their weapon on an unarmed person should be suspended without pay pending further investigation. And their name and policing histories should be made available to the public. Right now, the officers who killed John Crawford are sitting at home on paid leave. Tanks and tear gas don’t ever belong in our communities or in the ownership of local police departments. Police should be representatives of the communities they serve, not militant. Community members should have more say, input during citizen review boards. Local Demand: A federal investigation into the case of Israel Hernandez , the office of Kathryn Rundle, and the Miami Dade, Miami Beach, and Miami Gardens Police Departments. Damn! Is Joe back on the “white stuff”??? Joe Budden Accused Of Domestic Attack Joe Budden is infamous for switching up spouses like clockwork, and he didn’t even get to settle in with his latest one too well before things went horribly awry. Joe Budden’s latest romance, a bartender named Audely , recently reported that Joe viciously beat her over photographs he found to be incriminating. Via TMZ : Rapper Joe Budden allegedly brutally beat his girlfriend the way Chris Brown brutalized Rihanna … by slamming her head into the dashboard of a car. We’re told Budden saw pics of his GF with some men and flipped out. Sources connected with the woman tell us … Budden found her at an NYC restaurant, dragged her out to his car and then allegedly choked her and slammed her head into the dash. The sources say he then drove them to his New Jersey home where cops say the beating continued. TMZ obtained photos of the GF’s injuries … they’re pretty graphic. Cops are currently investigating. We’ve reached out to Budden … so far, no response. Joey has been well known to slap-up a chick or two in his past…sadly this comes as almost no surprise.
