Shaunie O’Neal Talks Jennifer Williams And Royce Reed Leaving Basketball Wives With the upcoming season of Basketball Wives Miami set to air soon, the ladies who are left on the cast are starting to make their promo rounds early. BBW head honcho Shaunie O’neal recently dished on the new season, including the exit of veteran cast members Jennifer Williams and Royce Reed and why some cast members’ exits were “necessary.” via S2S Magazine Since “Basketball Wives” premiered, five women have left the show, and Shaunie O’Neal admitted that some cast members’ exits have been easier than others. Season 5 of the show premieres Monday, August 19, and it will be the first without original cast members Jennifer Williams and Royce Reed. Season 4 viewers likely remember that Royce’s role was already somewhat limited, since a number of her co-stars refused to shoot scenes with her after season 2. “Some of the exits were necessary, just because it wasn’t clicking anymore. It’s hard to continue filming with people that you just have nothing else to talk about or nothing in common with, or that relationship has withered away,” Shaunie explained to Sister 2 Sister without naming names.
