Actor Isaiah Washington appeared on CNN last night and raised eyebrows with comments about Chris Rock, racial profiling and being at “war” with police. Isaiah Washington on Racial Profiling, Chris Rock After Rock posted selfies of himself getting pulled over by police three separate times in the last seven weeks, the former Grey’s Anatomy star weighed in. Washington Tweeted, “I sold my $90,000.00 Mercedes G500 and bought 3 Prius’s, because I got tired of being pulled over by Police. #Adapt @chrisrock” #Adapt to what, exactly? The Internet quickly had a field day with questions, criticisms and retorts, making Washington an even bigger story than Rock. Isaiah wrote later, “Anyway, you millennials critique and misconstrue my message to @chrisrock I’m getting back to my work to help free all y’all. #Truthdom” The 51-year-old, who was famously fired for making homophobic slurs about (and inadvertently outing) co-star T.R. Knight, took to CNN in response. Washington told host Don Lemon: “I know a lot of people took issue to that hashtag #Adapt, thinking I was implying racial profiling and white supremacy would stop if he were in a different car.” “I will say this,” Washington added. “Since I got out of my G500 and been driving a Prius for the last four years … I have not been pulled over one time.” Lemon asked him to explain what he was saying Rock should #Adapt to, at which point he criticized the term “driving while black” and spoke of an unspecified “war.” “There’s something happening in his community or wherever he is on that road or coming in and out of whatever that terrain, they’re looking for something,” he said. “They’re policing something. And the timing, either good or bad, I think the timing for us to have this conversation it’s a good timing and bad timing for all of us.” “Because they’re looking for something. Obviously, they’re not looking for Chris Rock. Obviously he hasn’t broken any laws. And what you drive shouldn’t matter.” “But if you are at war, which we all know that we are, there is a sentiment in the air that is highly toxic, highly negative,” Isaiah continued. “And what I was doing by that tweet,” he went on, in a roundabout way, “was doing exactly what I wanted it to do, is excite a conversation .” “If we’re looking at this term ‘black’ and looking at this term ‘driving while black’ maybe we really need to look at the term ‘black’ itself and start having a different kind of holistic conversation.” The actor went on to suggest that going forward, Rock should meet with local police officials to take a stand against his recent run-ins with authorities. As you’ve probably heard by now, Rob Kardashian recently compared his sister to Kim to ” the b-tch from Gone Girl ” on Instagram, and Kim, of course, responded by disappearing and framing Kanye for her murder. Okay, we may have made that last part up, but Rob’s post has had a profound effect on his family, which appears to be flopping before our eyes, a la Ben Affleck’s penis in Gone Girl . The feud between Rob and Kim has only gotten worse since the Post Heard ‘Round the World, and now sources are saying that in the days when the drama first began, Rob pulled an Amazing Amy and flat-out disappeared. Apparently, Rob was staying at Khloe’s house when he wrote the controversial caption. After it was posted, he realized he’d taken a shot at the Queen and fled. “After learning Rob had left, Khloe began calling and texting her brother to check-in,” a source tells Radar Online. “After not hearing from Rob for over 24 hours, she called her mom, Kris. Kris began calling Rob’s friends, and dispatched staffers to go by Rob’s condo. “Khloe thought they needed to call the police and file a missing persons report, but Kris didn’t think that was necessary. She thought Rob would get very angry that the cops were called, and it would have created a media circus.” After being missing for 48 hours, Rob reportedly returned to Khloe’s house with no explanation for his whereabouts. We assume he had been robbed by the rednecks that he befriended while he was on the run. (These Gone Girl references doing anything for you guys?) The most interesting part of this sroty is that outside of Khloe, no one really gave a damn that Rob was missing. We know that Kim thinks Rob should be cut off , and maybe that would be the best thing for him in the near future, but right now, the man is clearly mentally ill, so when he disappears for 48 hours, there’s probably cause for concern. James “Jimmy Henchmen” Rosemond Gets Second Life Sentence For Murder Conspiracy No need for calendar… Via NYPost A Manhattan federal judge on Tuesday sentenced James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond — already serving a life sentence for running a drug empire — to a second life term in prison for his December conviction as mastermind of the 2009 Bronx murder of Bloods street gang member Lowell Fletcher. Judge Colleen McMahon called Rosemond’s crimes “heinous” but lamented to the 50-year-old that “there’s nothing I can do to alter your fate.” Rosemond — who declined to address McMahon before being sentenced — targeted Fletcher for his affiliation with the rap group G-Unit, with which Rosemond had been feuding. Rosemond wanted someone to pay for his teen son being slapped by G-Unit co-founder Tony Yayo in 2007, authorities said. The attack on Rosemond’s then-14-year-old son occurred after Yayo, fellow co-founder 50 Cent and others in the G-Unit crew spotted him in Manhattan wearing a shirt that advertised his father’s rival music management company, Czar Entertainment, police sources said. Yayo, whose real name is Marvin Bernard, was harassing the kid at the direction of 50 Cent, allegedly showing a gun tucked into his waistband. Girl Tries To Kill Mom With Bleach Over iPhone A 12-year-old Colorado girl is accused of attempting to kill her mother with bleach after the woman took away her phone. Via HuffPo reports: The girl, whose name has not been released, allegedly tried to poison her mother’s drink with the cleaning fluid two different times, ABC News reports. The first time, on March 2, the woman felt ill after drinking a smoothie and smelled some bleach in the glass, but chalked it up to the girl failing to clean the glass correctly. The second time she smelled bleach in her beverage, on March 6, the mom “confronted her daughter and her daughter told her that she was trying to kill her for taking her iPhone,” Boulder County Commander Heidi Prentup told KDVR. The sheriff’s office began an investigation after the mother checked into the hospital on March 6, and the daughter was arrested March 20. The mother’s health is not in danger. The girl was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and is in custody at the Boulder County juvenile center. WTF?!!?!?
