Alexander Bradley, the man who claims that Aaron Hernandez shot him in the face earlier this year, has been ordered to appear before a grand jury. This is separate from the murder of Olin Lloyd, for which Hernandez is charged, and a 2012 Boston double homicide in which he is a person of interest. Bradley has been ordered by a judge in Massachusetts to testify before a grand jury later this month; it’s unclear if police are trying establish any link. He is scheduled to appear July 17. Bradley had been actively fighting the interstate subpoena, claiming that he required medical treatment in Florida. The judge ruled that the travel “will not cause undue hardship” for Bradley, who “is a material and necessary witness” in the investigation of Hernandez. Bradley sued Hernandez in June, before Lloyd’s murder, claiming Aaron Hernandez shot him in the face following an altercation at a Miami strip club. He never identified the New England Patriots tight end as the assailant when speaking to police, and only directly accused him in his recent lawsuit. The former NFL star is facing a first-degree murder charge in the slaying of his friend/acquaintance and is being investigated in a drive-by last summer. Officials suspect his motive may have been to keep Odin Lloyd quiet about his involvement in the earlier murder(s), though that remains just a theory.
NFL star turned murder suspect Aaron Hernandez is believed to have rented a secret “flop house” near his home for storage, according to police. After Hernandez was charged with first-degree murder for the execution-style shooting of Odin Lloyd , more and more information has come out. The latest revelation? A $1,200/month apartment he leased in Franklin, Mass., with boxes of ammunition and other items of interest inside. Police found out about it from Carlos Ortiz, one of Hernandez’s friends, who said he was with the athlete the night he allegedly made plans to shoot Lloyd. Articles of clothing recovered from the apartment are similar to what Hernandez had worn the night of the crime, June 17, according to law enforcement. A sweatshirt found there could be used to assist in linking Hernandez to the scene of the crime, while a hat could help establish his recent whereabouts. Among the most intriguing items seized from the flop house: A white hoodie “consistent in color and type with the sweatshirt Hernandez is observed to be wearing on surveillance cameras” the night of the homicide. A red baseball cap worn by Hernandez to a club the night before. Officials say Hernandez’s anger at Lloyd could’ve been sparked by an incident there. Five boxes of .45 ammunition (the caliber of the shells found on Lloyd’s body), five boxes of rifle ammunition, and one box of .22-caliber ammunition. Lloyd was dumped at an industrial complex about a mile from Hernandez’s home in North Attleboro, Mass., not far from the apartment he leased. A theory regarding Aaron Hernandez’s motive was that Lloyd inside information about Hernandez’s role in a 2012 double-homicide in Boston. He is considered a person of interest in those two additional murders . Hernandez’s attorneys say the items recovered from the Franklin apartment is circumstantial, while he’s eager to clear his name from the murder charge. The all-star tight end was cut loose from the New England Patriots and his five-year, $40 million contract immediately following his arrest for Lloyd’s murder. He recently welcomed his first child with fiancee Shayanna Jenkins .

According to Mail Online A woman has been arrested in Virginia for the murder of her newborn twins who were found dead in a pile of trash 15 years ago. Darnesha Paulita Berry, 34, was held after a cold case unit reexamined the shocking deaths of the boy and girl at a Virginia college. DNA also linked Berry, who is now married with a young child, to the bodies of the twins who died from head injuries before being tossed away. Their bodies were found in a trash room at the Holt Hall dorm at St Paul’s College in February 1998. Berry was a student at the college but was not considered a suspect at the time. Investigators believe the babies were born in a bathroom, killed and then tossed down a trash chute from a hallway inside the dorm building. The state medical examiner’s office concluded that the cause of death for both babies was blunt-force trauma to the head. The double murder remained unsolved until a local TV station ran a story on the murders that was under review by a cold case team. A number of tip-offs and DNA evidence led them to Berry. She was held at her part time job in a bank in Henrico and is being held without bond at the Meherrin River Regional Jail in Alberta. Assistant Chief B.N. Newcomb of the Lawrenceville Police Department said Berry was not considered a suspect then the bodies of the twins were found. ‘It’s a good thing to finally make an arrest and bring some closure to it,’ Newcomb said. ‘It’s something that we’ve been working on for a long time and haven’t forgotten.’ During a TV interview talking about the cold case Newcomb had said the deaths of the newborns was one of the cases that had troubled him during his career. ‘I just couldn’t believe that someone had thrown these two children away,’ he said. ‘It’s one of those cases that a police officer has in his career that haunts him.’ Berry does not have a criminal record and lives in Richmond area. A marriage could shield fiancee Shayanna Jenkins — Hernandez’s high school sweetheart and the mother of his seven-month-old daughter — from having to testify against him. “I don’t subscribe to that,” Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Lawyer Accidentally Dails Voicemail While Murdering His Girlfriend Via NYPost The Ivy League lawyer charged with killing his girlfriend in a jealous rage pocket-dialed a friend’s voicemail during the murder — and is heard tormenting his victim in her final seconds. “Why did you call 508, why did you call that number?” Jason Bohn asked Danielle Thomas just before the June 2012 slay in his Astoria apartment. Thomas said, “I don’t know” and “Jason, I love you” a dozen times, according to a transcript obtained by The Post. Bohn replies “You have five seconds and then…and then I’m going to kill you.” The accused killer then gives his victim instructions, telling her “I’m going to let you up and then you need to answer quickly or else you die…Danielle, why did you call that number?…Danielle you are so stupid.
