Cierra Ramirez Drops New Ma$e-Inspired Single “Bad Boys”

We know Cierra Ramirez best from television shows like  The Fosters ,  but the actress is also a talented singer. In a new single that takes cues from Ma$e’s 1997 hit “Feel So Good,” the rising star makes it clear she’s all about “Bad Boys.” In case you didn’t know, the 23-year-old hit the ground running with her viral song “Faded” last year, which has over 4 million views since its release and was the #3 most added song at Top 40 Rhythm Radio last summer. So what inspired the new single? According to the track announcement: “Bad Boys” is an alluring, up-tempo track, inspired by the classic film Cry Baby which is Cierra’s favorite movie. In writing and recording the captivating song, Cierra was inspired by the idea that as she says, “Too many people are “playing it safe” in life and instead of following their hearts and passions, they are living up to other people’s expectations. What drives our hearts may not always be the safe decision, but ultimately it can be the right one for your life.” Listen below and let us know what you think. Besides the new song, this is also going to be a great year for her in film and on the small screen: This fall she is starring in and co-producing a new television show Good Trouble, (a spin-off of The Fosters), with her co-star Maia Mitchell, and completing the picture, (pun intended) Cierra has voiced the MARVEL character of Miss America, aka America Chavez. The renowned comic book character is the first LatinX, LGBTQ superhero, who will bow for the first time in the soon to be released film, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors airing on 9/30 on Disney and Disney XD. Mac Miller Benefit Concert Will Feature Performances From SZA, Schoolboy Q, Chance The Rapper, & More

 Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images Mac Miller’s Friends And Family Come Together For A Benefit Concert Mac Miller’s family just announced A Celebration of Life, a show that will benefit the newly launched Mac Miller Circles Fund (MMCF). “The support we’ve experienced is evident in this amazing line-up and is a testament to Malcolm’s incredible life,” Karen Meyers, Miller’s mother, said about the event in a press release on Tuesday. “His Father, brother, and I are beyond thankful to everyone who is working to make this concert happen along with every fan and every friend for continuing to support Malcolm and his vision. He was a caring, loving human with a smile that could light up the sky and a soul that was out to make the world a kinder place and the MMCF will continue to do just that.” Mac was close friends with some really great artists, so it’s no surprise that the lineup for this show is impressive. Those who attend will see performances from Travis Scott, Schoolboy Q, SZA, John Mayer, Action Bronson, Chance the Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, and more. Tickets for the celebration of life, which is set for October 31 at the Greek in Los Angeles, will be available via the official MMCF site beginning this Friday, Oct. 5. The flyer for the show was designed by Mac’s brother, Miller McCormick. All of the net proceeds from tickets to the show will be given to the Mac Miller Circles Fund, which will be co-managed by Mac’s estate, family, an advisors board, and the 4 Strikes management team. Just recently launched following Mac’s passing, MMCF aims to help young people in underserved communities by giving them access to programming and additional resources centered on creativity and community building. Mac Miller died tragically on September 7 at his home in Studio City, California. Only one month prior, the rapper had released his fifth studio album  Swimming , which featured two acts that are now on the bill for A Celebration of Life, Thundercat and John Mayer.

Lil Pump Cancels His Harvard Dropout Tour Dates, Might Have To Do A Bid

Source: YouTube / Youtube This past Saturday night Lil Pump and Kanye West turned in a struggle performance for the ages when they were the musical guests on Saturday Night Live, and now the “Molly” rapper is reportedly canceling his upcoming Harvard Dropout Tour thanks to a probation violation. According to Complex , the tour dates for Pump’s highly anticipated 15-show tour have been scrapped from Live Nation ‘s website. A rep for Pump told Complex that “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Lil Pump’s Harvard Dropout Tour has been canceled. Refunds will be provided at point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience.” We probably should’ve seen this coming as just a few weeks ago the “Gucci Gang” rapper took to IG to tell his fans that he was going to “do a couple of months” in the bing being that his arrest in Miami violated his probation in Los Angeles. Coast to coast consequences, B. We have to admit that he doesn’t seem phased by the pending prison stint he’s set to serve. As promised, Weezy released C5 on the night of his birthday, which pretty much added to the anticipation of the already highly anticipated album. If fans weren’t thirsty for it before, they were dehydrated earlier this week when Wayne added fuel to the fire and teased the album release date in an impromptu video he put out. Thank goodness he delivered; and the 23-track body of work has everyone and their mama talking about Wayne like it’s 2008. He once tweeted about C5 being shelved indefinitely, writing, “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity.”   Then he had beef with Young Thug who went on to name his album Barter 6 –  a play on Wayne’s “Tha Carter” discography. And Weezy was battling health issues , regarding his seizures and multiple stints in the hospital. But fortunately for him — and us — that Wayne train hasn’t stopped and he’s getting some of his flowers while he’s still here. Fresh off the release of his special album, Weezy will also be honored at this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards. Common Reveals How He Broke His Mother’s Rules To Pursue Music | Extra Butter

Sometimes you just gotta break the rules. That’s the main premise in Smallfoot a movie about a Yeti society that’s ran using some archaic laws set in stone that everyone must live by. On the outside, the rules appear to work, but in reality, they are all a bunch of bs that gets exposed when a yeti named Migo, stumbles on to a human being that this movie calls a small foot. Starring Common, Channing Tatum, Yara Shahidi, Gina Rodriguez, Lebron James,  and Zendaya this movie addresses some serious issues about inclusion, accepting each other’s differences and being open to change. On this episode of Extra Butter w/ Xilla Valentine , I go behind the scenes of Warner Bros new movie Smallfoot hitting theaters everywhere this Friday to find out how Common and Channing broke rules to become successful, how the protection Yara Shahidi and Gina Rodriguez affects them, as well as talk about the booty of a yak. While this kid’s movie is very “woke” it’s also very silly as Channing Tatum points out during our conversation, saying, “We are touching and tackling some very current stuff but it’s also really hilarious to be talking about the sky snail and the great butt of the sky yak! I think it’s a palatable way for kids to be brought into something that’s a little deeper and still be able to enjoy it so it’s not some heavy thing that we have to fear.” Gina Rodriguez gives voice to a yeti named Kolka who is a very curious science nerd that isn’t afraid to seek more than just what’s set in the stones the yetis live by. She loved the message of the film and revealed that is one of the reasons she took this role. “Ideally, you’re working on projects you feel confident about and you stand next to and you love the message and I think that was a huge draw for me,” Gina revealed. Smallfoot really kicks into another level with Migo and his group of banishes yetis venture out into the human world to find the truth about the legend of the small foot. That goes against all the rules but it was a necessary risk that he had to take to prove The Stonekeeper, played by Common wrong. I asked Common to reflect on a time when he had to break to rules and he revealed it was when his mother told him to choose school over music. I had to break the rules to pursue my music career, Common said. Adding, “She meant well, in the same way, The Stonekeeper does, this is what I know to be right, this will protect you, stay in school that’s the safe way to do it. Although it wasn’t a written rule I had to break that rule to go after my dream.” Overall Smallfoot is a very fun kids film that is filled with a ton of messages perfect for the time we live in, with a lot of light moments kids will enjoy. The movie hits theaters everywhere, Friday, September 28th.

‘LHHHS5’ Recap: Brooke Valentine Derails Bridget Kelly’s London Press Opportunity

Bridget Kelly has a big fan base in London, new music to promote and a show but she decided to make a bigger spectacle of it by inviting her girls. It’s La’Britney, Moniece, Teairra Mari, Brooke, Paris, and Nikki. But the thing is, some of these women are plus ones and you already know there’s tension in the overall group. Teairra is annoyed with Paris and Nikki because she feels like they deserted her when it came to her sex tape drama. Teairra doesn’t really rock with Moniece like that because she feels she deserted her back when she was going through rehab. Moniece doesn’t rock with Paris. La’Britney and Moniece don’t rock with each other, and Brooke is Brooke so you already know she was talking smack to the rest of the girls about last week’s studio situation with RoccStar and Moniece. In other words, you never know how this is going to go. via GIPHY Once the girls get settled in London, La’Britney doesn’t hesitate to call Moniece out for spreading rumors about her allegedly sleeping with A1. Moniece said that she was just repeating what she heard from someone else. It was Lyrica who said that. Remember when Lyrica was pissed that A1 and La’Britney were working together and she just assumed that their relationship was more than just business? Yeah, that. But anyway, La’Britney then says she heard that Moniece slept with K. Michelle. via GIPHY Moniece says that she and K. Michelle are good friends but the only box she’s munching on is her girlfriend AD’s. That don’t mean she never got it on with K. Michelle though. Anyway, back to their little discussion, it surprisingly doesn’t escalate and they eventually seem to get over it. La’Britney basically explains (later on) that she only slid into A1’s DM’s for business purposes and makes the good point: DM’s is how a lot of people, especially in entertainment, especially millennials, create amazing opportunities to secure the bag. In fact, the entire trip thus far is actually okay-ish. There’s tension but no one is throwing drinks and tugging hair…for now. Teairra even seems to get back on the right track with Moniece and Paris. Nikki is kinda just there. Back to Bridget Kelly. She has a press day (at the home they’re staying in) since she’s actually in London because she has a show coming up and to promote new album, Reality Bites . Enter Brooke. So… Brooke bogarts Bridget’s interview because y’all know she does that. In her mind, she was spicing up the interview because Bridget was being boring (but in reality, Bridget was actually being professional). So she steps into the mix talking about she’s still alive (because no one has really heard from her musically since “Girl Fight”) and plans on coming out with new music. Then she brings La’Britney into the mix. La’Britney is actually working with Lady Leshurr . The latter is a rapper from the UK and she’s dope (do your Googles if you’re not familiar). That’s cute and all, but this isn’t La’Britney’s interview. Then Teairra comes out just to tell the girls that the chicken she was making was almost ready and of course the reporters drag her into the interview. She doesn’t want to be a part of the interview but sits down anyway, as if she really didn’t have a choice in the matter. And of course, they ask her about the sex tape. TT is annoyed by that question and then another reporter asks where they can see it. Now that’s just rude! Teairra storms back into the house. Bridget follows behind her to make sure she’s okay. She’s also pissed that Brooke derailed the whole interview before she could even talk about her new music. TT locks herself in her room and doesn’t want to be bothered. That’s that. Next week Bridget will call out Brooke for her thirsty behavior and it looks like Solo Lucci and Marcus will be joining the fun in London. Beyonce’s Ex-Drummer Files Restraining Order Against The Singer Over “Extreme Witchcraft”

Email Submit Thompson claims Beyonce is a practicing member of “extreme witchcraft” and used “magic spells of sexual molestation” to harass her. While documents don’t document what type of sexual molestation, Thompson believes Beyonce killed her kitten.   Documents reviewed by Pitchfork show that the temporary restraining order request was denied by a court in Los Angeles on September 19, but there is a restraining order hearing scheduled for October 11.   Thompson confirmed the accuracy of the documents originally posted by The Blast in an email to Pitchfork where she wrote, “All accusations…I survived are real.”     Beyonce’s rep have yet to comment. Demi Lovato’s Mom Opens Up About Singer’s Overdose & Gives A Rehab Update [VIDEO]

Source: SplashNews.com / Splash News Two months ago  Demi Lovato was hospitalized for an apparent overdose and now her mother  Dianna de la Garza is  opening up about that tragic day. RELATED:  Demi Lovato Released From The Hospital, Currently In Rehab Dianna talked about her daughter’s OD for the first time Tuesday during an interview with Newsmax TV, where she revealed, it was touch-and-go for several days. “We got there as quickly as we could,” de la Garza said. “Dallas and Madison and I jumped out of the car at the emergency room and ran into the emergency room to be by her side. She just didn’t look good—at all. She was in bad shape. But I said to her, ‘Demi, I’m here. I love you.’ And at that point she said back to me, ‘I love you, too.’ “From that point on, I never allowed myself to ever think that things weren’t going to be OK,” she continued. “I prayed, of course, all the way to the hospital, and my faith is strong. I think that was one of things that got me through the next couple of days when she was in critical condition. We just didn’t know for two days if she was going to make it or not.” Since Demi suffered the OD in July, she has been released from the hospital and is currently back in rehab. Dianna ays Demi is doing very well in rehab and feeling happy and healthy. “She’s happy. She’s healthy. Thanks To Michael Che, This Is What Emmy Reparations Would Look Like

Source: ROBYN BECK / Getty Emmy night may have given us a lot of unfunny jokes and undeserving winners, BUT it did provide Black folks with one of the funniest pre-taped skits we’ve ever seen in the show’s history. Thanks to Saturday Night Live’s news anchor and Emmy co-host Michael Che , we got a chance to see what real reparations would look like for overlooked African-American actors who deserved the coveted Emmy over the years, but never received one. “You know, as a black comedian, for so many years, our TV legends and heroes have gone unrecognized,” Che said. “So this year as host, I took it upon myself to finally right some of those wrongs.” Taking it to the block, the 35-year-old passed out the gold to overlooked folks such as  T he Jeffersons ‘ Marla Gibbs . “Your role as Florence the maid is the reason I got fired form every service job I had,” Che declared. Gibbs quipped back, “Well thank you – I think.” Other Black icons, such as  Jimmy Walker ( Good Times ), Kadeem Hardison ( A Different World ), Jaleel White ( Family Matters ), Tichina Arnold ( Martin ), John Witherspoon ( T he Mayans Bros. ) and people from  The Wire were also included in these faux awards. Mother Turns In Son After Seeing Him On TV In Connection With Deadly Carjacking [VIDEO]

The story was all about a fatal carjacking that happened in the area of South West Atlanta. Email Submit Police believes Matthews was willing to do whatever the carjackers wanted, but they still killed him. Detective Ebony Johnson mentioned that the 15-year-old along with his mother turned himself in. She said, “It wasn’t necessary for them to take his life. They were in compliance. They were getting out of the vehicle at that point.” She is urging anyone with information to please come forward. Johnson said, “Think about it as being one of your family members that lost their life. You would want them to be brought to justice.” RELATED:  Mother Accused Of Killing The Father Of Her Kids And Taking Them A warrant has been issued for the second suspect and police need help identifying the third suspect. The mother of the victim mentioned that her son had not only started a new job, but just hours before his death called to wish her a happy birthday. He leaves behind two young kids.
