Justin Bieber has joined the ranks of stars speaking out against bullying. The 16-year-old American Music Award-winning singer recently spoke to talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres about his own bullying experience, and in an “It Gets Better” clip that debuted on DeGeneres’ site on Monday, he urged his fans to take action if they see someone being bullied. In the 20-second video , Bieber, wearing a black T-shirt and backwards black baseball cap, says, “Hey guys, I’m Justin Bieber. I just wanted to say there’s nothing cool about being a bully. And if you’re getting bullied make sure to tell someone and, you know, it gets better. And if you’re a bystander, make sure to step in and, you know, help out.” The clip appeared to have been filmed during Bieber’s appearance on DeGeneres’ show earlier this month, when he discussed his own experiences with bullying. “Everybody goes through bullying,” he said on the show. “Everybody has, even me. On my YouTube page, there are so many haters. They just say crazy stuff. Like, I’m not mad, I’m 16 and I don’t have chest hair. I’m not angry about it at the moment. That will come. People are like, ‘Look at him, he puts helium in his voice before he sings.’ You just have to laugh at yourself. It’s funny.” His appearance on the show came shortly after he was reportedly bullied while playing laser tag in Canada in October. Bieber also had a similar message for those who see bullying going on around them. “There are so many bullies. It goes on so much,” he told DeGeneres. “I think that you should … especially if you are a bystander, you definitely should help out because it could be you next.” In the laser-tag incident last month, a 12-year-old boy allegedly used an anti-gay slur against Bieber after overzealously targeting the “Baby” singer during a heated match. Bieber joins a long list of stars and politicians who have joined the “It Gets Better” anti-bullying campaign, including President Obama , Secretary of State Hillary Clinton , Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Adam Lambert, Aubrey O’Day, Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and Katy Perry, who dedicated her “Firework” clip to the campaign. Sue Sylvester marries herself ’cause she can’t find a match. Mama Sue shows up but this plot point doesn’t attach. I guess producers had the chance to shoot with Carol Burnett, So they wrote in a Nazi-hunter filled with maternal regret How can I blame them for wanting to include Carol? Ryan Murphy clearly shrugged and said, “Sure, what the hell?” A shame her singing voice now sounds like her old Tarzan yell Is she coasting on her name? [ Clip of Carol emphatically saying, “I AM NOT!” ] [ Jim speaks ] Sorry, no disrespect! [ Tugs on his earlobe. ] [ Singing ] Do you want to know how “Glee” ends up? I do! I do! Sue expels the bully but the school board sucks, So Sue Resigns as principal in protest Mr. Schue Says regionals are coming next But Kurt’s to do List includes dodging closet cases Out to bruise His porcelain skin with so much hate He chooses to Transfer to the private school that’s basically paradise for gays. The hilarious film revolves around the enduring teenage obsession with one’s reputation. Nice girl/ semi-outsider Olive makes a deal with a guy friend to pretend to have sex at a house party, so that the bullies at their high school will think he’s “cool” and leave him alone. But that one good-natured act soon spirals into many more “requests” from other similarly plagued students. Soon the high school rumor mill has been set ablaze with exaggerated accounts of Olive’s alleged exploits. When MTV News recently caught up with Badgley, we took a different tack, asking him what rumor he wished he’d started about himself back in high school — and the wackiest one he’s heard since then. “That I was going to be a movie star,” he joked. “I don’t know, as far as my high school persona [goes], I was pretty laid-back, I was pretty quiet. Confident but not terribly out there,” he revealed. “I didn’t come into my own until I was about 17 or 18.” Not surprisingly, the funniest rumor Badgley had heard about himself involved his highly publicized relationship with “GG” co-star and girlfriend Blake Lively. “I once heard a rumor that I got my girlfriend a Cartier love bracelet,” he recalled. “Which is essentially like a love handcuff that can’t come off, and they’re like $3,000 or something. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Attention friends, family members and significant others of rabid “Twilight” fans: If you know what’s good for you, or just want to make the vampire- or werewolf-obsessed person in your life deliriously happy, mark your calendars for December 4, 2010. That’s the official release date for the DVD/Blu-ray version of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” Thanks to an announcement on the blockbuster film franchise’s Facebook page, we now know that the sure-to-be-coveted movie will arrive in spectacular fashion, complete with plenty of extras and sparkly special features. There are four — count ’em, four! — options for fans. The two-disc Special Edition DVD includes audio commentary by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Stephenie Meyer, and producer Wyck Godfrey; eight deleted and extended scenes; a six-part making-of documentary (90 minutes); photo gallery; music videos (Metric, Muse); and more. The Special Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo includes all of the above plus, on the Blu-ray side only, several extra “Jump to …” featurettes that highlight specific characters, families and action sequences in the film. The final two options are the standard single-disc DVD and Blu-ray, which contain only the film itself, without all of the extras. There will also be two companion DVDs released on December 4: “Music Videos and Performances From the ‘Twilight Saga’ Soundtracks, Volume 1” and “Destination Forks: The Real World of ‘Twilight.’ ” The music video disc is “a collection of music videos and live performances from bands featured on the Billboard chart-topping soundtracks from ‘The Twilight Saga: Twilight,’ ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse.’ ” The “Destination Forks” DVD is an inside look at the real-life town of Forks, Washington, the setting of Meyer’s series and now a popular tourist destination that has reportedly been visited by over 250,000 “Twilight” fans. I accidentally listened to Kanye’s first album last night. Not because I like Kanye and want to reflect on his work and contribution to the world of music, but because I was hanging out with a group of 20 year olds and they thought it would be fun to listen to old school rap…I just kept on drinking and got to thinking that life probably woulda been better if that accident that got him press back when he was starting out, the world wouldn’t be polluted to these bullshit Lady Gaga inspired videos that only really make me happy cuz there’s some titty in it and titties should always be in music videos…but that’s just cuz I like titty everywhere…just last night at dinner I made a breast out of my mash potatos which woulda gone a lot better if I decided to titty fuck it after I left the restaurant. But a girl can’t have it all, right? After a heated battle, Gaga went down in rare defeat on Thursday, when Justin Bieber surpassed her to set a record for the most-watched music video in YouTube history. At press time, Bieber’s “Baby” collabo with Ludacris had logged 245,746,720 views, pushing past Gaga’s epic “Bad Romance” clip, which was not far behind with 245,596,709. Now, given Gaga’s rabid fanbase of little monsters, there’s no doubt this pitched battle will continue and perhaps see a few more lead changes, but for now, the Biebs has emerged victorious. Bieber, in the midst of doctor-imposed vocal rest while on tour, reacted to the news with delight, tweeting on Thursday, “what is goin on with the ‘Baby’ video on YouTube is crazy … I started on YouTube so the support … well I just need to say thank u.” Showing he was raised right and is a good sport, he followed that tweet with a flip of his bowl cut to his rival, writing, “someone just showed me and I just need to say that @ladygaga is an incredible artist who have great respect 4. And her vid is incredible … so it doesn’t matter who has more views, what matters is that we have incredible fans that support us … that I’m sure we are both grateful 4.” Then again, winning feels kinda sweet, so he did do a bit of Twitter victory lap. “So thanks … like I said, I started on YouTube so … WOW!! Love u and wish u all the best in each and every one of ur lives. Thanks Beliebers!” And in case the race got close again, his next post was a link to the video.
