“I Rather Be Underrated Than Overrated”- K Camp [VIDEO]

More here:

Source: David Woods / Radio One Recently a “Top 50 Atlanta Rapers” list has surfaced on the internet and many people have a lot to say about it. One of those being rapper, K Camp . Weak ass list. Miss me w it. — K CAMP (@kcamp) October 8, 2019 Although Camp has given us Billboard hits like “Cut Her Off,” “Money Baby” and “Comfortable” — he still is one of Atlanta’s most underrated artists. After facing issues with his label and management, Camp decided to keep releasing music through the years to satisfy his fans–despite not receiving a dollar for them. While dropping the music, Camp also became the CEO of his own label, RARE Sound. Now, under a new label, Camp is back with his latest project, Wayy 2 Kritical. He stopped by the studio to chat with B Swift about being underrated, not ranking high on the list, his label, and what he would do if he won the “Lottery.” Check out K Camp’s  song, “Lottery”   [ione_media_gallery src=”https://hot963.com” id=”2355549″ overlay=”true”] Join Our Text Club To Get The Latest Music, Breaking News, And Contests Sent To Your Phone. Sister Speaks Out After Brother Was Called N-Word And Told To ‘Get On His Knees’ In Viral Video

Source: Deysha Adriana/Facebook O ne teenager became the victim of racist insults after his one tiny mistake of littering. After the incident went viral, his sister is speaking out about the support they’ve received. According to 10 News , 14-year-old Barry Henry was called the N-word by a woman when he threw his gum wrapper on the ground. The incident went down when he was walking from church with his grandmother and cousin on Sunday in Florida. “I thought she was going to attack us,” he said. “The lady was telling me, ‘Just pick it up,’ real loud and just yelling and everything, crazy.” The whole incident was recorded and posted to Facebook where the woman can be heard yelling, “Nuh uh, don’t even act like that. Pick it up. Find it. Get down on your knees and find it. Get down on your knees and find it.” At one point the woman calls the teen a “ni**er” and continues, “That’s how you are. All y’all (unintelligible) f**king ni**ers. Walking around here acting like something.” The footage was initially posted to Facebook on Sunday by Henry’s sister Deysha Adriana . She wrote: “Actual footage of a woman talking to my 14 year old brother and cousin in this manner, near Williams Park in St. Pete today, because he dropped a gum wrapper on the ground, he was going to pick it up until she started calling him out of his name. Almost 2020 and we still are dealing with being spoken to in this manner over what exactly? A gum wrapper. Tasteless.” The video received over 233,000 views and over 5,000 shares. A St. Petersburg City Council member, Steve Kornell , even shared the video asking to help identify the teen so he can be honored at this week’s council meeting. The mayor of St. Petersburg, Rick Kriseman , also called the woman’s actions “deeply disappointing and disturbing, a wholly unacceptable verbal attack that I would hate to witness anywhere, but especially here in our Sunshine City.” After the backlash against the woman and after Deysha and her brother received massive support, Deysha posted an update: “My family would like to first thank those who have expressed their genuine concern towards my younger brother in regards to the below video. The point of this post is/was to continue to raise awareness regarding inappropriate behavior, and racism in our city, country, and world. Please note that we are not a confrontational family, and we are not looking for vengeance towards this woman, nor are we looking to fight racism, with racism.” Meanwhile, the teen’s mother, Tykeshia Henry-Burch , said that even though she was “shocked” and “mad,” they will continue to pray for the racist woman and “hope that she gets the help that she needs because she does need help.” SEE ALSO:  Penn State Slams Racist Fan Who Sent Star Player ‘Disgusting’ Dreadlocks Letter Black Football Coach Fired For His Team Using ‘N*gga’ At Historically Black School [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3889368″ overlay=”true”]

Future On New Song Preview: “I Don’t Know Her Name But She Had My Child”

Source: Victoria McGraw @victoriasaidit / Urban One If there’s one thing to know about  Future , it’s that he’s going to give his truth on a record. Especially in regards to his relationships with women. Over the weekend, fellow Atlanta rapper Big Bank DTE showed a clip of Future back in the studio, working on new music. In the previewed track, the  Purple Reign  rapper croons: “I don’t know her name but she had my child.” It’s unclear whether or not this is another moment of Future going above and beyond to drop a wild lyric or in reference to his recent drama where a woman filed a paternity lawsuit against him. Prized “Fighter”: Christina Aguilera Tearfully Accepts Honor For Her Work Combatting Domestic Violence

Source: JB Lacroix / Getty Christina Aguilera Honored For Work Against Domestic Violence Christina Aguilera hasn’t been shy about the things she’s been through in relationships. She readily shares her testimony about surviving domestic violence and what that experience did to her psyche. Those experiences have inspired Aguilera to work on behalf of women like herself who have been abused and a great deal of that work took place at The Shade Tree of Las Vegas. Xtina has been donating to their organization for quite some time and last night they honored her with an award and a ceremony that broke the pop star down to tears according to PEOPLE . “It’s just disgusting and it happens far too much to people that we do love,” Aguilera said in a video posted to her Instagram account. “And it is very dear to my heart, because I did grow up in [violence] and I’m a survivor of it — as I’m sure many of you are — and I’m affected by it.” “It’s so important, the work that you put into this,” she added, speaking of the shelter. “That so many volunteers [put into this], and your donations. They do mean so much to me.” “It’s such a part of who I am, the music that I make, the lyrics that I write, from ‘Fighter’ to ‘Beautiful.’ Everything,” she continued. “It truly does come from the heart.” Check out Christina’s heartfelt Instagram post below. View this post on Instagram #DomesticViolence is obviously a subject very close and personal to my heart. This past week, I was honored to receive an award from @shadetreevegas, a domestic violence shelter that I donate to….and while I tried so hard not to cry, I ended up balling the whole way through my speech because the statistics of domestic violence in the US are truly horrifying & sad and it’s so important to spread more awareness. .. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men in the US are affected by domestic violence. Every minute, 20 people are affected by intimate partner violence in the US. That is 10 million a year. .. I remember often having to up and escape in the middle of the night with my mom & little sister, having just the clothes on our backs, to drive cross country for shelter at my grandma’s house. Without that, I would have had to turn to a place like @shadetreevegas for shelter. I have so much respect and adoration for those who give their time and support to hear these victims’ stories and help them regain strength, self empowerment and provide resources for a better independent future. Some aren’t so fortunate to get out….which is why it’s so important to work together to put a stop to these horrific statistics. Moreover, this isn’t just an issue in the US, but happens all over the world, in too many homes!! .. We need to use our voices to speak up, reach out and help one another break these deep rooted cycles and empower each other to end these patterns. . If you or someone you know is suffering from abuse, you can call 1-800-799-7233 and go to the @ndvhofficial #NationalDomesticHotline https://www.thehotline.org .. Check out https://theshadetree.org/ to find out more about their amazing work. And go to https://www.domesticshelters.org/fundraisers/wish-lists to find a shelter near you. Quavo Adds Pitcher To Resume After Throwing Out 1st Pitch At Braves Game

Source: Todd Kirkland / Getty One-third of the hit-making group Migos , Quavo , checked another major milestone off of his bucket list after being tapped to throw out the game-opening pitch for his hometown team. According to sports news, Quavo threw out the first ceremonial pitch before game two of the National League Division Series matchup between the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals on Friday (Oct. 4). The special occasion featured the “Pure Water” artist donning a custom made Braves jersey that featured him rocking the number 91, for his birth year, and bolstered his nickname “Huncho” on the back. Before the start of the game, Fox Sports tweeted out a video of Quavo practicing his perfect pitch behind an old building, landing a near-perfect strike to the catcher. Quavo will throw out the first pitch in NLDS Game 2 … and give the @Braves another lefty option for the postseason roster. pic.twitter.com/i3ZguklYBc — FOX Sports: Braves (@FOXSportsBraves) October 1, 2019 While on the field, Quavo kept that same energy throwing southpaw as the announcer asked candidly, “Let’s see what you got, Quavo.” The @Braves have a new lefty specialist: @QuavoStuntin . pic.twitter.com/ttcgtlSv02 — MLB (@MLB) October 4, 2019 In other Migos news , the trio received good news last week after a judge ruled that a company’s 2015 agreement to market apparel for hip-hop group did not give it a right to capitalize on the Migos name in light of the group’s recent success. According to Law.com , Justice O. Peter Sherwood knocked out key claims in a lawsuit by Rocawear co-founder Norton Cher’s YRN LLC, which sued the Georgia-based trio and Migos LLC for breach of contract in May 2018. According to the complaint, the firm acquired the trademarks to “Y.R.N.” and “Yung Rich Nation” in March 2015, with the goal of marketing clothing and accessories associated with Migo’s then-forthcoming single and album by the same names. The suit alleged that the performers, Quavious Marshall, Kiari Cephus and Kirshnik Ball, and managers Jerel Nance and Pierre Thomas had agreed not to compete with the company by marketing apparel with the Migos name. It was an “incontrovertible fact,” Judge Sherwood said, noting that the company never had any right to the Migos name, and by the time Migos had paired up with Bravado, any need for the contract’s restrictions was gone. “There simply was no market left to cannibalize.” Sherwood wrote in an 11-page opinion dated Sept. 12. “The market for apparel bearing the name of a faded Migos song or album was gone and the restrictive covenants in [the contract] no longer made commercial success.” The ruling was handed down in September, although it was just announced this week.

Rihanna continues to dominate in 2019. The newest stop on her success tour is gracing the November 2019 cover of Vogue …and the 31-year-old looks absolutely stunning. Take a look: View this post on Instagram @badgalriri is our November issue cover star! A post shared by Vogue (@voguemagazine) on Oct 9, 2019 at 6:37am PDT   In the interview with the fashion bible, the makeup mogul, whose company is worth more than $3 billion , sounds off about her  “reggae-inspired or reggae-infused” upcoming album “R9,” living her best life with her boo, and the ridiculousness called President Trump . On her long hiatus from making new music: “I have been trying to get back into the studio. It’s not like I can lock myself in for an extended amount of time, like I had the luxury of doing before. I know I have some very unhappy fans who don’t understand the inside bits of how it works.” On her newly founded Paris-based maison with LVMH : “I’m not the face of my brand, but I am the muse, and my DNA has to run all the way through it,” she says. “I don’t want anyone to pull up my website and think, Rihanna would never wear that.” On her Bae Hassan Jameel (who doesn’t name, but we know who it is): “Yeah, I’m dating. I’m actually in an exclusive relationship for quite some time, and it’s going really well, so I’m happy.” On Trump and gun violence in America: “It is devastating. People are being murdered by war weapons that they legally purchase. This is just not normal. That should never, ever be normal. And the fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist . Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem . The most mentally ill human being in America right now seems to be the president.” Most importantly, she speaks candidly about turning down the Superbowl Halftime Show: “Absolutely,” she says. “I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.” You better tell RiRhi! For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Adidas By Stella McCartney Launches Post-Mastectomy Bra

Source: Adidas / adidas In time for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month , Adidas has launched a new sports bra for women who have undergone a mastectomy. Designed by famous designer Stella McCartney , the brand’s first Post-Mastectomy Sports Bra has been created to empower breast cancer survivors to introduce sport and fitness back into their lives, Adidas wrote in a press release . “With the Post-Mastectomy Sports Bra, I really wanted to encourage women to take care of their health through wellness and self-care. This bra allows us to support recovering patients through the next phase of their journey, and hopefully give them the confidence to get back into training. It has a cool and modern look that will help motivate the wearer, as well as assuring them, they are not [the] odd one out in the gym,” explained McCartney, whose mother died of the disease in 1998. Source: Adidas / adidas The model used in the campaign is Black British boxer and breast cancer survivor, Michele Aboro . “After my surgery, I felt lost. As a professional athlete, I was used to relying on my body but after my mastectomy, I started to lose belief in myself and how my body would react. When I was ready to get back into fitness, I couldn’t find a sports bra that didn’t require being pulled over my head or lacked in support. Now I wear the Post-Mastectomy Sports Bra every time I train – it is comfortable and supportive and has helped me build back my confidence to get back into the game,” the mother and mentor explained. The bra, which costs $69, has a front-closure zipper, inner pockets with removable pads, and adjustable straps. In addition, the seams were all placed specifically around the arms to “reduce discomfort and irritation to areas of the skin prone to sensitivity due to surgical scarring.” It comes in two colors: Pink and black. Listen, this type of bra is definitely needed. Bravo Adidas! Buy the bra here .
