Gucci Mane Thinks Eminem Is Nowhere Close To Being Rap’s King

Source: Prince Williams / Getty While I admit that I have been a Stan in the past, there are other factors – aside from rapping every word out of the dictionary – that should be used in order to determine who the real ‘best rapper’ is. I think Wop has a point! Via | HipHopDX ATLANTA, GA –  Gucci Mane  recently sat down with radio host Rickey Smiley for an episode of the  Ricky Smiley Morning Show  where he was asked about  Eminem  being dubbed the “King of Rap.” The 1017 Records boss was almost in disbelief that question even entered his atmosphere. “You gotta come up with a better one,” he says in the clip. “That ain’t even worth … ’cause I ain’t playin’ him in my car. You playin’ him in yours? You slidin’ around playin’ Eminem in your car with your old lady? Dolo play Eminem, just metaphors. Just goin’ in? [Laughs].” READ MORE

It came after she canceled Roseanne Barr ’s show over Barr’s racist comment about former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett . “Given that ABC, the place I’ve called home for nearly 15 years, represents the gold standard of traditional broadcast, it feels like the perfect next step for me to join Netflix, the unparalleled leader in streaming. Speculation had focused on Dungey either joining one of two Netflix-based production companies: Rhimes’ Shondaland or the Obamas’ Higher Ground. She has the best of both worlds. Dungey’s new positon gives her greater oversight of both companies, according to Hollywood Reporter. “We’re delighted to be adding Channing’s expertise, leadership and deep experience to Netflix, and I look forward to partnering with her as we continue to grow and evolve our global network. I have been a fan of her character and approach from our early days as executives,” Holland commented. Miley Cyrus Risks Catastrophic Nip-Slip on Saturday Night Live

Miley Cyrus was Saturday Night Live 's musical guest. But it was not her voice or song selection that turned heads. No — Twitter made it very clear that her eye-catching wardrobe choice was driving viewers to distraction. She wore a very shiny jacket … and nothing underneath. No shirt and no bra. Miley did not have a nip slip, thanks to some very praise-worthy wardrobe choices. But audiences weren't so confident of that, and they kept their eyes glued in awe and nervousness during Miley's performance. Take a look: 1. Spooked On Camera: Lil Uzi Vert Flees Nardwaur Interview Claiming “He Know To Much” [Video]

Drugs May Or May Not Have Been In The Equation Nardwuar is known for digging up the most obscure facts about a music artist and bringing it up in their interviews. Most artists can take the slightly creepy, unauthorized background check. But finally Nardwuar creeped an artist out so much, they had to flee the scene. Lil Uzi Vert was the paranoid individual, and he was so shook by Nardwaur’s questions and excavated artifacts that he pulled a Kanye and ran away from him…which is odd because Nardwaur definitely interviewed Uzi back in 2016 and everything went smoothly. However, this time Uzi may or may not have been buzzed on a friendly vowel of drug. Watch Uzi go into panic mode above! Continue reading

Miss Universe 2018: Who Took Home the Sexist Crown?

Somehow, in the year 2018, beauty pageants still exist. It remains a confounding fact that women are paraded around on stage and judged for their bodies and their brief answers to very broad and stupid questions by a panel of random judges. But still… they do exist. And a rather major beauty pageant was held on Sunday night. So… who took home the crown of Miss Universe 2018? Name other than Miss Philippines, Catriona Gray! The new and beautiful champion beat out 93 other hopefuls in a star-studded competition, including runner-up Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green and the second runner-up, Miss Venezuela Sthefany Gutiérrez. The victory caused Gray to break into tears. The theme of the 67th Miss Universe pageant was “Empowered Women” and it was judged by seven women including former pageant winners, businesswomen and a fashion designer. It also included the first-ever transgender contestant. But the 24-year-old Gray – who was born in Australia and studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts – simply would not be denied her moment to shine. Even though Miss USA actually tried to steal she spotlight a few days earler… … but acting like a spoiled American snob. Late last week, Sarah Rose Summers came under fire for making comments about two non-English speaking contestants during one of the show’s rehearsals. Joined by Miss Australia and Miss Colombia in an Instagram video filmed on the preliminary night of competition, Summers spoke openly about Miss Vietnam, H’Hen Nie, and Miss Cambodia, Rern Sinat, and their struggles with English. As you can see below, she mocked their ignorance: Sarah Rose Summers, Miss USA, Mocks Pageant Contestants for Not Speaking English After the video went viral, Miss USA issued the following statement: @MissUniverse is an opportunity for women from around the world to learn about each other’s cultures, life experiences, and views. We all come from different backgrounds and can grow alongside one another. In a moment where I intended to admire the courage of a few of my sisters, I said something that I now realize can be perceived as not respectful, and I apologize. My life, friendships, and career revolve around me being a compassionate and empathetic woman. I would never intend to hurt another. I am grateful for opportunities to speak with Nat, Miss Cambodia, and H’Hen, Miss Vietnam, directly about this experience. These are the moments that matter most to me. Beauty pageants are dumb and sexist. But that doesn’t mean Gray didn’t deserve to win this one. CONGRATULATIONS!

Pete Davidson Posts Messages About Struggling With Mental Health Before Deleting His Instagram Page

Source: ANGELA WEISS / Getty Pete Davidson Alarms Fans After Posting Concerning Messages To IG Some cryptic messages had fans and celebrities alike worried about SNL ‘s Pete Davidson on Saturday, which he posted before quickly deleting his Instagram page completely. Following Kanye West’s tweetstorm the previous day, where he addressed mental illness and his desire to desire to destigmatize it, Davidson–who is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder–posted a note saying that he doesn’t “want to be on this Earth anymore” before another note praising Kanye for his bravery in speaking out against mental health. In the first, now-deleted note, Pete wrote, “i really don’t wanna be on this earth anymore. i’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all i’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember i told you so.” No matter what we think of celebrities or public figures, Pete Davidson is a human being who deserves to live. The thousands of hurtful comments to him are shameful and inhumane. Please know Pete, that you are loved by millions. Most of all, your family loves you unconditionally. pic.twitter.com/t5EFwCboEd — Eugene Gu, MD (@eugenegu) December 15, 2018 This was followed by Davidson’s post praising Mr. West for his bravery in which he wrote, “Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health. I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted.” The first sentiment is what really got people worried, and though some people posted negative comments on Pete’s actual post before deletion, the rest of the internet seemed to rally behind Davidson with celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi, and Jada Pinkett-Smith all reaching out to the comedian. Machine Gun Kelly even hopped right on a plane to fly to New York and make sure his friend was okay, since many who reached out were reporting that his phone was turned off. Pete Davidson … hang in there. There is a lot of help out here. Surrender to some love some where around you … today! Right now! And then … let in the help that will become available. I’m praying for you Pete. I’ve been there. It gets better. — Jada Pinkett Smith (@jadapsmith) December 15, 2018 im in the plane now on the way to see Pete. gonna make sure he’s good, i promise. can’t have my boy in the darkness like that. — colson (@machinegunkelly) December 15, 2018 As it turns out, it looks like Pete was at Saturday Night Live rehearsal while this all went down, and he actually ended up appearing on the show last night for a brief moment to introduce the show’s musical guest. Along with other celebrities, Davidson’s ex Ariana Grande also seemed concerned about his Instagram posts, releasing tweets apologizing for joking about Kanye and then seemingly showing up at 30 Rock in case Pete needed anything. Grande’s now-deleted tweets read, “”i’m so sorry i told a dumb joke,” she said. “i really didn’t mean any harm. all i want everyone to be healthy and happy. so desperately. please. my god,” she posted regarding her tweets about listening to her new single instead of watching grown men argue online. Her next tweet read, “I’m downstairs and I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything,” said the following tweet. “I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me, but i’m here too.”  TMZ  confirmed that Grande was at 30 Rock, where  Saturday Night Live  is taped, to see Davidson if she got a chance. After so many calls from fans, the police did end up pulling up at SNL to do a welfare check on Pete, confirming that he was OK following the scare before he appeared briefly on the show last night.

Actually we all need to give the world back this gift we have and do a King’s Tour. @chrisbrown @TreySongz @Usher @rkelly @brysontiller @TheRealTank @HERMusicx I have noooo Ego most of you know that all ready! I’ll Open no problem. Also do some inner city music w/kids. jussayin.” Along with this, the musician tagged Chris Brown, Usher, R. Kelly, Bryson Tiller, Tank, and H.E.R. Fans in his replies seem to be a little skeptical about some of his choices for a “King’s Tour,” but like the idea of a joint performance nonetheless. All of this speculation about who holds the crown comes after Jacquees declared himself the King of R&B , which was followed by any and every artist to put out music in that category throwing in their opinion on the subject. Though some people like John Legend came to the conclusion that R&B doesn’t have a king right now, others like R. Kelly took the opportunity to declare themselves as King. What do y’all think of a joint tour with some of the greatest and most popular names in R&B? Do you agree with the names that The-Dream chose?!
