50 Taught Me: Tekashi69 Takes Chief Keef’s Baby Mama Shopping

Source: Instagram/26ix9ine_ / Instagram/26ix9ine_ Tekashi69 is an unapologetic troll. So much so, we can’t remember the last time we discussed the Bushwick rapper’s actual “music.”  Anyway, taking a page straight out of 50 Cent’s playbook, while in Chicago, Tekashi recently took Chief Keef’s baby mama shopping at Gucci. Yes, you read that correctly. Tekashi just upped the beef he has cooking with Sosa exponentially. We’ll let TMZ explain  the sordid details: Tekashi69 is adding more fuel to the fire in his war with fellow rapper Chief Keef, this time by taking Keef’s baby mama, Slim Danger, out on a $75k shopping spree at Gucci for her birthday. Tekashi posted a clip at the Gucci store in NYC with stacks in his hand and Slim, who calls out Keef as a deadbeat dad in the clip. “If you don’t know how to take care of your girl, n***as gonna take care of her for you,” 6ix9ine chimes in. He later copped a feel too. We’re told the two happened to run into one another while Slim was in town to celebrate her bday. She’s cool with Tekashi’s  Tr3way  family, so Tekashi took her shopping to celebrate. One, if your baby mama’s name is “Slim Danger,” struggle is in your future for at least 18 years. Two, Tekashi has really got to chill. Like seriously. Peep the troll at work below.   Peep more of this guy’s shenanigans in Chicago on the flip. — Photo: Instagram

Nicki Minaj Says Being Single Helped Her Get Back To Music

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Nicki Minaj doesn’t have to prove her success to anyone and her status as a chart-topping woman rapper should solidify that stance. In a new interview, the Queens superstar is happily single and says that the lack of romance in her life has allowed her to focus on her upcoming album, Queen . In a wide-ranging cover-story interview with ELLE , the 35-year-old artist dished on a lot of topics and considered herself an exhibitionist while grappling with what that means to her millions of adoring fans. Further, the interview, which flips between traditional Q&A to free-flowing prose, proves that Minaj is still trying to find herself despite the fame and with the weight of being an iconic sex symbol while still fighting for respect in a field that may not see her worth as a lyricist. ELLE writes: Nicki is now in her midthirties, and from the age of 15 until just last fall, she has always had a serious boyfriend. “Six years, twelve years, three, four,” she says. Over time, this came to have consequences she didn’t anticipate. “I remember feeling like I could do anything at one time in my life,” she says, “and somewhere along the line, I just started second guessing myself, for whatever reason.” That all ended when she started learning how to sleep alone. “As soon as I realized that I could actually live and breathe, and eat and sleep, and walk and talk without having a boyfriend, something clicked in me.” “Becoming single,” she goes on, “was one of the things that made me feel strong and powerful. The fact that I am a young woman who doesn’t need a man for money. I don’t need a man for a job. I’ve never had to f*ck for beats. I’ve never had to f*ck for a record deal. I don’t have those pressures. I get up when I want, shop when I want.” Other highlights of the interview include the legal issues of her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill, beef with Cardi B, and maybe even throwing shots via music in today’s all-eyes-on-me culture. Kesha Accuses Dr. Luke of Raping Katy Perry

A new and very disturbing allegation has been leveled against music producer Dr. Luke. To be more accurate, the allegation itself is not new. But it has only just now been made public, and it has the music industry reeling in many different directions. Allow us to explain… The Blast has obtained legal documents that allege Kesha told Lady Gaga via text message in 2016 that Dr. Luke had raped both herself… and Katy Perry. The first accusation listed above has been documented several times in the past. Kesha claimed back in 2014 that Dr. Luke assaulted her and harassed her throughout their professional relationship and she has since filed a lawsuit against the infamous producer. On May 31, however, Luke’s attorney filed papers that include the following sections: On Feb. 26, 2016, [Kesha] sent a text message to Stefani Germanotta p/k/a Lady Gaga which repeated [Kesha’s] false claim that Gottwald had raped her. In this text message, [Kesha] also falsely asserted that Gottwald had also raped Kathryn Hudson p/k/a Katy Perry. Following this text message conversation, and with [Kesha’s] encouragement, Ms. Germanotta spread negative messages about Gottwald in the press and on social media. For example, in February 2016, Ms. Germanotta posted multiple articles discussing defendant defamatory statements on her Twitter page. To be clear, as mentioned above, it is Dr. Luke’s own attorney who included these text message excerpts in his court filing. He is claiming that Kesha has defamed his client and is denying her accusations about both her rape and the rape of Perry by Dr. Luke. We reported last August that Lady Gaga had agreed to submit unedited text exchanges she had with Kesha to the court in an attempt to assist Kesha with her lawsuit against Dr. Luke. In addition to co-producing Kesha’s breakout hits “TiK ToK” and “We R Who We R,” the producer also worked on a number of Perry singles, including “I Kissed a Girl,” “Teenage Dream” and “Roar.” There’s no debate here that he knows Perry well. But there’s obviously a very big difference between knowing her well and assaulting her in the manner Kesha has reportedly described to her friends. No one from Kesha, Lady Gaga or Katy Perry’s camps have commented on this story. In a New York Times feature published a year ago, Perry simply said “I had to leave the nest” when asked why she stopped working with Dr. Luke. Dr. Luke alleges he lost out on over $10 million that he would have made for working on various Perry’s albums… and thinks Kesha’s allegations damaged his reputation and led to his split from the American Idol judge. The documents published by The Blast also reveal that Perry has been deposed as part of Kesha’s lawsuit, but they do not give details to what was said. Luke, meanwhile, has strongly denied all allegations of assault and abuse by Kesha. He has countersued the singer for breach of contract and defamation. In February of 2016, Dr. Luke tweeted: “I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister.” Two years after he made this statement, Kesha stole the show at the 2018 Grammy Awards when she performed her empowerment anthem “Praying” in support of the Time’s Up movement with a choir comprised of Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels, Andra Day and Bebe Rexha. Loser Designer Blasts Selena Gomez as "Ugly," Fans React in Horror

You can say many things about Selena Gomez. You can say you don’t like her music because you’re entitled to that opinion. You can say you she has bad taste in men because Justin Bieber has never treated her well. You can say she makes poor decisions with her hairstyle at times. But you cannot say what Stefano Gabbana just said about the singer, not if you want to avoid very deserved backlash from millions of people on social media. The Italian designer, who co-founded the fashion label label Dolce & Gabbana, went out of his way on Instagram this week to attack Gomez. In the comments of a photo on The Catwalk Italia’s Instagram account, Gabbana wrote the following alongside a collage of Selena picture: È proprio brutta!!! This translates, very simply and extremely rudely, to:   She’s so ugly. The insult was many things; unprovoked, cruel, sexist and objectively untrue. And while Gomez has thus far taken the high road, refusing to even acknowledge Gabbana’s existence, her friends and fans online have been unable to show similar restraint. “@stefanobabbana you’re tired and over. your homophobic, misogynistic, body-shaming existence will not thrive in 2018,” Tweeted 13 Reasons Why actor Tommy Dorfman, who plays Ryan Shaver in the Netflix drama. He added: “it is no longer tolerable or chic. please take many seats.” And then there was this from a Gomez follower: “Shame on you for online bullying. Doesn’t matter if 1 million people see it or 1 person, it’s bullying. It’s wrong.” And then this from another Gomez follower, who kept it short and simple and supportive: “We love this beautiful queen.” Julia Michaels, a singer-songwriter and close friend of Selena’s tweeted: “@selenagomez just here to tell you that you are one of the most beautiful women I know, inside and out. I love you always.” This really is true. While the merits of what Gabbana said are really beside the point, it might as well be pointed out while we’re here: Selena Gomez is a very pretty young woman. Full stop. This statement really can’t be debated. Over the years, Gabbana has bullied stars on social media numerous times, including Kate Mossand Victoria Beckham. Most recently, he went after Kate Moss on the same Catwalk Italia Instagram page, dissing a Saint Laurent look she was wearing … just because. In 2015, celebrities such as Elton John, Courtney Love and Ricky Martin boycotted the fashion brand over insensitive comments Dolce and Gabbana made about IVF and LGBTQ families. Moreover, the brand released a $245 “#BoycottDolceGabbana” graphic T-shirt inspired by the negative response to First Lady Melania Trump wearing their designs. In other words: it courts controversy like this. So the best thing to do is what Selena has done, which is to totally and completely ignore the misguided and pathetic messenger. This will be the last time we write about him. View Slideshow: Selena Gomez Stuns with Appearance, Sparks Lip Sync Controversy at American Music Awards

Exclusive: ‘Claws’ Showrunner Janine Sherman Barrois On Telling Strong Women’s Stories And How Niecy Nash Embodies Power

Source: Mike Jordan / Getty It’s been a minute, but the Fab Five are finally back for season two of TNT’s hit dramedy Claws . And from the looks of the season premiere, it’s clear that Desna, Polly, Virginia, Jen and Quiet Ann are up to their necks in money laundering, Russian mobsters, the Dixie Mafia, avoiding getting killed and of course, the nail art game. While the show, which stars the amazing Niecy Nash and Karrueche Tran , may be over the top at times—in a good way of course—it never lacks authenticity, which matters since the story is centered on a Black woman and her “ride-or-die” crew. What’s also clear is that a lot of that realness has to do to with its seasoned showrunner Janine Sherman Barrois . HelloBeautiful sat down with Barrois to talk about the importance of telling strong women’s story, why Niecy Nash is the show’s anchor and whether Claws has encouraged her to be more daring with her nail art. HelloBeautiful: You’ve written for shows like ER and Criminal Minds . While Claws  has a criminal element, it certainly isn’t about serial killers or hospital drama. What about a nail salon in Florida drew you in? Janine Sherman Barrois:  It was just so bold and refreshing.  I read the pilot script [the show’s creator] Eliot Laurence wrote and it was just so good! I loved the Florida noir aspect and the humor and the drama it possessed. That, and the idea that it was a centered on these five cool fierce women. So often on television, women are not on the forefront, they usually serve as sidekicks to the male leads. But with Claws , these women are the heart and soul of the show.      HB:   I watched the season premiere twice, it was so outrageous, amazing and the gender power dynamic has really shifted from the first season. Instead of the Desna working for the Hussers, they work for her under the Russians, who are also women. With the  #MeToo Movement stronger than ever, why is having Desna & company in charge so important? JSB: First, while Claws is definitely about female empowerment and women sticking up for themselves, I don’t want to conflate the #MeToo Movement with the show. So with that being said, yes, I think the gender power dynamic shifting from a patriarch with Uncle Daddy [Dean Norris] to a matriarch with Zlata [Franka Potente] is a great thing.  Women have always been woke and we’ve always been trying to take our power and say we’re not putting up with inequality anymore, so it’s more than just that. We are in a time where we are even more vocal about [being entitled] to parity with men, whether it be financially, sexually or creatively. Time is really up for inequality, especially for these women that work at a nail salon in the middle of a strip mall in Palmetto, Florida. HB: Niecy Nash is such an anchor to this series, I couldn’t imagine the show without her. I read that initially she wasn’t available for the pilot because she was shooting a different one, but that later changed and she was cast with the quickness.  JSB:  When you look at the show now, it’s so clear that the only person who can play Desna is Niecy. But at the time, we were looking  at lots of women of difference races—we really didn’t know who could play this role. But when we heard her pilot wasn’t happening, the head of studio called us and asked did we want to meet with her. We said yes.  The minute she walked in the room, she just blew our minds. She was different from anything we had ever seen. Niecy  embodies power and has this unapologetic fierceness to her. Let me tell you, this was all from just a meeting, but we knew from day one she had so much passion to play this role and would give Desna the layers she deserved. But what’s also great about Niecy is that she’s not just passionate about her character, she’s passionate about everyone else’s and advocates for the writing room to make sure they are just as cool and layered as Desna.      HB: One of the strengths of the show is the power of friendship and it’s interesting because from their race to sexual orientation, they are very different. We rarely see this on TV, especially in a way where they are all equals, not just sassy sidekicks that boast up the white female protagonist. I absolutely love it.  JSB:  Over the weekend one of the show’s actors shared that someone told them the Claws shows them that Black women and white women and other women of color can forge real friendships and get along. I think that’s very key and in so many parts of the feminist movement, women of color have asked white women, “Where are you when it comes to our causes?”  So I think its very important to see that these women are bonding and forging friendships that is about their humanity and their race. Also, we wanted for it to be authentic. When we were casting Jen [Jenn Lyon], we wanted someone who we really believed would be best friends with Desna. We needed something about Jen’s worldview where it was clear that having a diverse group of women in her life came from her own desire and her soul. Too often, these types of friendships come because you’re paid to have it, like you work with someone and you’re forced into this friendship. Or you go to college and you’re the first person of color your roommate has ever seen. But these women aren’t like that. There is a commonality of sisterhood that exists despite of their race and sexual orientation, something that TV has ignored for far too long.  HB: Being one of the few Black female showrunners in the industry along with Shonda Rhimes ( Grey’s Anatomy ), Lena Waithe ( The Chi ) and Karin Gist ( Star ) to name a few, how important is to for us to have a seat at the table?  JSB:  It’s extremely important. The more diverse people you have in the room, the larger point of view you have to shape the story. And when you have people of color running a show, they can help make sure inclusion happens behind the scenes, with the actors and the crew.  This is the world of the new generation to make inclusion and diversity a part of life and how we do things in Hollywood. We are far more woke than the older generation and with them getting older and retiring, we are going to see a real shift. I believe things are getting much better.   Also, we have  Shonda Rhimes who has made billions of dollars for her network and once you bring in that kind of money, and show that not just white men can do it, you open the doors for so many other women of color and show them and the execs that it’s possible.  HB: What’s your advice for Black female writers trying to break into the industry? These three things. First, you need to write everyday, it’s far too competitive not to. Also, y ou also have to read a lot. Whether it’s fiction, screenplays or television specs, the more you read the better storyteller you will become. Most importantly, be persistent and look for the opportunities. A lot of people don’t know how to find them and when they have an opportunity, they miss out on it because they weren’t prepared or they didn’t realize. Keep your eyes open and be ready.  Honestly, if you want to make in the industry, you have to be obsessed with it.     HB: Finally, given that Claws is about a nail salon, how often do you get your nails done? And has the show encouraged you to be more creative? JSB: [Laughs]  I work so much that I can only get my nails done about once a month, but I will definitely try funky things, especially if I have an event or a press junket for the show. I’m also into wild press ons too. But I do love getting my nails done, not only does it complete your look, but it relaxes me and you can hear the best stories just sitting back in the salon. It’s my therapy.  This interview has been edited and condensed for clarity. Draymond Green Takes Shot At LeBron James With “Mood” T-Shirt?

Source: Ezra Shaw / Getty The Golden State Warriors made quick order of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 NBA Finals, and it is beyond clear these teams are not fond of one another. Draymond Green , gleefully playing the heel role, took what appeared to be a shot at LeBron James by rocking a t-shirt that seemingly referenced an Instagram post from the Cavs captain. During the parade in Oakland, California on Tuesday (June 12), Green sported a shirt that featured a play on the popular Arthur balled-up fist meme that James posted back in November of last year with the caption “Mood.” In Green’s version, the Black t-shirt featured the same fist with gold lettering but the hand is seen sporting three NBA championship rings to signify the Warriors’ three rings. Green has taken shots after a Warriors win in times past, including last year when he wore the “Quickie” shirt styled in the lettering used for the Cavaliers’ Quicken Loans Center. And check out Green throwing Tristan Thompson under the parade bus below. “We just cut from a different cloth.” – @Money23Green #DubNation pic.twitter.com/A1RoUGuceN — NBA TV (@NBATV) June 12, 2018 Photo: Getty
