Hate Is Life: Azealia Banks Thinks Lizzo Is Making A Fool Of Herself

Source: Coachella 2015 – Week 1 – Day 1 – Performances Featuring: Azealia Banks Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 10 Apr 2015 Credit: WENNCHELLA/WENN.com  Lizzo has officially made it. No we are not talking about the MTV Music Awards. She is now the target of one of music’s most spiteful detractors. As spotted on Complex Azealia Banks has decided to throw her two cents on pop’s newest sweetheart. The Harlem native left a series of scathing comments aimed at Lizzo suggesting the singer is doing the jig for the man. “Lmao the fact that the public and the media has been keeping this fat girl joke going for so long is honestly peak boredom” she wrote. But wait the hate doesn’t stop there. Banks, who hasn’t had a song buzzing since 2011 with “212”, also criticized Liz’s chart topping hit “Truth Hurts” and her swag. “The song is not good, nor is the dumpy fat girl spectacle live set she does. Saddest bit is that the girl is legit talented and truly only being allowed to shine so long as she allows herself to be this millennial mammy of sorts.” She proceeded to also throw other artists under the bus and if we are reading this right puts herself in the same light as Beyoncé. “Like illiterate Cardi then fat Lizzo. They are really choosing the worst of the black womens crop to advertise America with,” she wrote. “I guess they saw us moving too fast with it because if you realize, after Beyoncé became political in ways they didn’t like the elite stopped giving her that top top spot and started cycling out these lessers like Cardi and Lizzo (even Lil Nas X trash ass buckbreak mountain anthem) giving them Beyoncé level accolades while both being no where near the level of black female excellence she is.” You can read her rant in full below. Extra Cheese: N-Word Spewing Papa John’s Founder To Donate $1 Million To HBCU Simmons College of Kentucky

Source: Denise Truscello / Getty Papa John’s Founder Donates $1 Million To Kentucky HBCU Papa John , we ain’t forget. The founder of the pizza franchise, John Schnatter, had to step down from his CEO position last year after he admitted to using the n-word during a conference call. Today, according to WJLA, Schnatter will be donating $1 million to a historically Black college, Simmons College of Kentucky. In exchange for his donation, the school’s president went to bat for Schnatter in an attempt to perfume the stench of racism. News outlets report John Schnatter announced the donation Wednesday at Simmons College of Kentucky. The college’s president, the Rev. Kevin Cosby, and its board of trustees chairman, Mark Lynn, emphasized that people should focus on Schnatter’s actions and not his words. Actions, not words. Got it… We just hope that this money goes to truly help students who want to get their education, but Papa John, we ain’t forget.

DMX Blesses Maine Family With Shoes For School

Source: Adam Bielawski/WENN.com / WENN DMX has mellowed out quite a bit since going free from prison at the top of the year, and recent appearances of the veteran rapper showcase him enjoying the life of a beloved star. Realizing his good fortune after selling millions of albums since the late 1990s, Darkman X blessed a Maine family with shoes to prep them for the upcoming school season. WMTV.com reports : Nikki Cutchens and her daughter Grace were shopping at the Maine Mall on Saturday when they stopped into the store Journey’s. The family was in line ready to check out when the man at the next register offered to buy their shoes for them. The man happened to rapper DMX. DMX was in Maine for a concert at Rock Row in Westbrook on Saturday. He told them he was blessed to have 15 children and wanted the family to be blessed as well. “I was actually having a really hard time picking out shoes. I could not figure out which ones I wanted and then we went in that store and I found the shoes that I wanted and we just happened to go pay for them and it happened.” Grace Firley said. “They’re technically his shoes. That’s what I’m going to say. I have DMX’s shoes.” The outlet adds that X copped sneakers for Grace and her sister, who attends college in Portland. Way to go, DMX. — Photo: WENN

She gave the Recording Academy a behind-the-scenes look at the music video, which paid touching tribute to Taylor. “My mom was kinda sick when I was in the studio making this song, and I was in a really down place,” she told the Academy. “I called her on the phone, she wasn’t feeling so good, so that inspired the song. I just went into the studio with all these emotions … and that’s how it came out.” “Respect, admire, love your mom,” she added. “You only get one mom in the entire world. You can never, ever get another one. No matter what happens, one only comes your way, that’s a blessing.”
