Interactive online community allows fans to come together to share ‘Twilight’ content. By Jocelyn Vena Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Want one place where all your “Twilight” memories can live? Well, Summit Entertainment has launched the “Twilight” time capsule as the go-to destination for all things Bella, Edward and Jacob. The launch comes a month before “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” hits theaters on November 18. The time capsule is an interactive online community where fans can relive all the great moments from the Stephenie Meyer-penned franchise. According to a press release posted on The Hollywood Reporter, the site is a place where “fans can commemorate and share content with each other, and relive any moment in ‘Twilight Saga’ film history.” Fans can generate their own user content for the site, as well as view a timeline that includes memories and trailers from the releases. “The ‘Twilight’ time capsule brings them all together in one place for all fans to enjoy together,” “Twilight” star Nikki Reed said in a video about the site. “Now you can commemorate your personal memories forever and become a part of ‘Twilight Saga’ history.” This isn’t the only way to get caught up on all things “Twilight.” There will also be “Twilight” re-release events kicking off in November. The re-releases begin November 1 with the first flick in the franchise, 2008’s “Twilight.” “Twilight Saga: New Moon” (2009) will open on November 8, and last year’s “Eclipse” opens the following week on November 15. Ticket information and a complete list of theaters hosting the events can be found at the Fathom events website. It’s not over just yet, however. The last “Twilight” flick, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” directed by Bill Condon, hits theaters on November 16, 2012. Toronto MC tells MTV News he’ll perform brand-new Nicki Minaj duet ‘Make Me Proud’ on Saturday; teases a ‘special guest.’ By Rob Markman Drake Photo: MTV News Drake only burst onto the scene in 2009, but in those two years there isn’t too much that the Toronto MC hasn’t done. By tomorrow night, Drizzy can cross a “Saturday Night Live” appearance off of his list of accomplishments because, for the first time, the Young Money soldier will appear on the show as the musical guest alongside host Anna Faris. “It’s crazy places that rap music can take you and doors that can open up off of the things that we’ve worked on all these years,” Drake told MTV News after “SNL” show rehearsals on Thursday in New York. “It’s so crazy being here today with the same band that I’ve been rolling with — all guys from Toronto. This is crazy, man, this is crazy. It’s an honor for sure.” During his musical set, Drake will perform songs from his November 15 album Take Care, including his newly released “Make Me Proud,” which features Nicki Minaj. Although Drake wouldn’t confirm whether Nicki will appear with him on Saturday, he did promise a “larger-than-life” performance. “One thing that I do notice is not too many people bring atmosphere change [as ‘SNL’ musical guests], so I really pushed to change the station into something different and I think I did a great job of that,” he said. “I just hope that visually and sonically, it’s a superior performance.” While things weren’t completely finalized when we caught up with the former “Degrassi” star, he said he also hoped to be able to get some acting in: “I think that I’m gonna be involved in the actual skits.” Are you looking forward to Drake’s ‘”SNL” performance? By Gil Kaufman Amy Winehouse Photo: Epsilon/ Getty Images Fans of late British soul star Amy Winehouse will get a look at the final song and video the “Rehab” singer filmed before her death Wednesday when Tony Bennett releases the clip for the pair’s duet on the jazz standard “Body and Soul.” The clip will premiere at 6 a.m. on MTV, VH1, MTV Hits and mtvU and then repeat on an hourly basis throughout the morning, after which it will be available online on MTV.com. The track and video will drop on what would have been Winehouse’s 28th birthday, and it will show the unique collaboration between the legendary crooner and the beehive-sporting retro soul singer who died July 23 of undetermined causes in her London apartment. The song and video were recorded on March 23 at Abbey Road Studios in London and the proceeds from its sale will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation . “We had a beautiful time recording together in the studio, and I knew that Amy was very happy with how she performed that day,” Bennett said in a statement. “I thought she was absolutely brilliant, and this recording truly captures the essence of her unique artistry. She was a rare talent.” The video footage of the two singing together is bittersweet, with Winehouse looking healthy and alert, twirling her hair coquettishly as she matched him note-for-note on the standard. Wearing one of the plaid sweaters from her Fred Perry fashion collection, her hair in a signature bouffant, a smiling Winehouse held her own with Bennett, trading lines and sharing a warm hug at the end. The recording session was filmed by Oscar-winning cinematographer Dion Beebe (“Chicago,” “Memoirs of a Geisha”) as part of an upcoming documentary on Bennett. Though Anne Hathaway is still just rumored to be a potential addition to Tom Hooper’s musical film adaptation of Les Miserables , star Hugh Jackman is already getting some company for the December 2012 release. According to Variety, Russell Crowe will play foil to Jackman’s Jean Valjean as Inspector Javert. Could Crowe’s past experience singing with his bands 30 Odd Foot of Grunts and The Ordinary Fear of God have given him the casting edge?
