Awards! So many awards. What will we do with all these awards? Awards everywhere! Awards in your refrigerator, awards in your morning coffee. Awards clogging the 405 and the Holland Tunnel. Sarah Palin shot and killed an award last night on TV. The Metrodome roof didn’t collapse under the weight of snow, as you’ve heard; it was actually from a storm that dumped 17 inches of awards on Minneapolis. And now look: More awards!

‘Tangled’ Locks In Weekend Box-Office Victory

Disney animated film knocks ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ out of the top spot. By Josh Wigler Flynn (voiced by Zachary Levi) and Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) in “Tangled” Photo: Disney Although Harry Potter was able to beat Rapunzel last weekend, the boy who lived was unable to fend off the long-haired princess for a second week in a row. Disney’s “Tangled” was the big winner at the box office this past weekend, securing a solid $21.5 million total from showings on Friday through Sunday. But victory for “Tangled” came at the expense of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1,” which lost to the animated Disney film by a $4.8 million margin. It was the first time that “Deathly Hallows” has slipped from first place since it opened in theaters three weeks ago. “The Warrior’s Way” was the weekend’s only new wide release, but the ninja-versus-cowboys action flick landed without so much as a thud, bringing in only $3.1 million for a ninth-place finish. With a reported production budget of $42 million, “The Warrior’s Way” has quite a long way to go before it comes close to recouping its costs, let alone making a profit. Two highly anticipated movies marked their limited-release debuts this weekend, including director Darren Aronofsky and actress Natalie Portman’s critically acclaimed “Black Swan.” The Fox Searchlight picture, which has generated some serious Oscar buzz for Portman’s performance, earned $1.4 million across 18 theaters, taking home the weekend’s highest per-screen average at $77,444 per location. “I Love You Phillip Morris” finally arrived in theaters after numerous delays, earning $113,000 across a mere six theaters. The Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor-starring romantic comedy expands to more locations next weekend. The Box-Office Top Five #1 “Tangled” ($21.5 million) #2 “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1” ($16.7 million) #3 “Burlesque” ($6.1 million) #4 “Unstoppable” ($6.1 million) #5 “Love and Other Drugs” ($5.7 million) Upcoming Releases “The Chronicles of Narnia” franchise continues next weekend as moviegoers embark on “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.” Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie go for a thrilling European getaway in “The Tourist,” while Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale’s “The Fighter” gets a shot at the title with a limited release in four theaters. Check out everything we’ve got on “Tangled” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Natalie Portman Boring Stripping in Video of the Day

The only thing I really like about Natalie Portman is that her name is actually Natalie Herschlag. I never found her all that hot. If anything I thought she was overrated and boring. I mean what celeb quits for four years to get a college education like some kind of normal person when they should be flashing cunt to the paparazzi….. I just assumed all the boring nerdy Star Wars kids made up her fanbase and got her work. Then I realized Jewish guys were also in on it, cuz they were happy to see a hot Jewish girl they could imagine themselves getting married to without causing issues about converting with their mothers. But it turns out that non-Jews and non-nerds want to fuck her too….it’s got something to do with her having a vagina…. And here is a video of her stripping of New York Times Magazine…since I love strippers….it kinda works for me..and when I say kinda, I mean not at all….if there’s no spread pussy then it’s not fucking stripping…but who cares what I think…. Enjoy.

Watch Michael Douglas, Natalie Portman, Matt Damon and 11 Other Stars Act

Here’s something great for you to watch while the boss isn’t looking: The New York Times assembled 14 actors to perform a variety of classic screen types in short films directed by photographer Solve Sundsbo. Javier Bardem, Michael Douglas, James Franco, Tilda Swinton and Natalie Portman provide highlights, but pay special attention to two performers in particular: Matt Damon’s hilarious silent screaming fit and Jennifer Lawrence’s sexy horror homage. Once again , The Winter’s Bone actress shows just what she had hidden underneath that bulky winter wardrobe. Also of note: singer Owen Pallet did the accompanying music, which sounds an awful lot like Johnny Greenwood’s score from There Will Be Blood . Not that anyone is complaining. [ NYT ]

Darren Aronofsky on Black Swan, ‘Pulling’ Actors and Life Vs. Art

Say what you will about his provocative, polarizing films, but don’t think for a minute Darren Aronofsky ever takes the path of least resistance. The director’s latest, Black Swan , springs from a place from which few filmmakers emerge alive — the hyper-competitive world of ballet, where, upon earning the role of the Swan Queen in a new adaptation of Swan Lake , young prima ballerina Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman) commences down the road to paranoia, lust and madness.

‘Black Swan’: The Reviews Are In!

One critic gushes that the psychological drama and its star, Natalie Portman, are ‘unmissable and unforgettable.’ By Eric Ditzian Natalie Portman in “Black Swan” Photo: Fox Searchlight Only folks in eight select major metropolitan cities across North America will have a chance to see “Black Swan” this weekend. And as for the weekend after that, unless you’re a proud resident of, say, Detroit or happen to be swooping into St Louis for a little holiday, you’ll still be out of luck. The rest of the country will have to wait a full two weeks from now, as Fox Searchlight slowly rolls out this Oscar darling about the ultra-competitive world of professional ballet. Is it any consolation to say that even if you can’t see “Black Swan” this weekend, you can at least read the thoughts of those who have? Well, you can, because reviews for Darren Aronofsky’s follow-up to “The Wrestler” have been pouring in. Here’s what the critics are saying about “Black Swan.” The Story “Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman) has obsessively perfected her flawless technique at an unnamed New York company for years when she’s finally considered for the lead in an upcoming production of ‘Swan Lake.’ As her manipulative artistic director, Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel), observes, Nina possesses all the innocence and self-control of the Swan Queen, but his ‘stripped-down, visceral’ version of the ballet demands that she also portray the Black Queen. She’s a sinuous, primal persona he doesn’t think Nina can pull off. It’s difficult to disagree: With her breathy whisper of a voice, cosseted home life with overprotective mother Erica (Barbara Hershey) and wide-eyed sexual na

Mila Kunis on Fake Sex with Justin Timberlake: Awkward!

Mila Kunis is having a lot of sex these days. On the big screen, that is. (We’d like to think her and shocking long-time boyfriend Macaulay Culkin never actually get past first base.) The actress stars in Black Swan , a thriller that focuses on the relationship between a veteran ballet dancer and a rival. Kunis and co-star Natalie Portman make major love during the film. Up next, Mila will appear opposite Justin Timberlake in Friends with Benefits , a comedy that asks the question: Can VERY attractive pals also be casual sex partners? In an appearance on Ellen this week, Kunis was asked what it’s like to fake do JT on camera. “It’s very awkward. It just is,” she said. “He’s great. The truth is, we got to have very uncomfortable scenes for two weeks… there’s like 150 crew men watching and you see each other’s bits and pieces. The whole thing is just wrong.” And also so hot! Check out the red band Friends with Benefits trailer now!
