Weezy rooted for the Lakers … No seriously: But here’s the thing, another fan in the building says that he was actually booted for making a gun gesture — and a spokesman for the Heat says he actually left of his own accord. Via Y ahoo reports : During Sunday’s Miami Heat win over the L.A. Lakers, rapper Lil Wayne tweeted that he was ejected from American Airlines Arena for cheering for the visiting team. “So I’m @ da Heat game right, rootin 4 da Lakers kuz dats my team & would u believe they got police 2 make me leave?! Wow!” the rapper tweeted. He then added an epithet: “[Expletive] da Heat.” That caused quite a reaction on Twitter, as Lil Wayne has nearly 10 million followers. Yet he’s not the only one out there with an account of what happened Sunday. A fan named Danny Vega, who said he was near the rapper, had a different version of the incident: “Random guy yelled at Lil Wayne at #MiamiHEAT game, Weezy looked back, gave him a mean stare & gestured he had a gun,” tweeted Vega, who said he was at the game and sitting near Lil Wayne. “Weezy just got into argument with security at the #MiamiHEAT game. He got kicked out for gun gesture.” Heat spokeswoman Lorrie-Ann Diaz told USA Today in an email that Lil Wayne was not kicked out but instead chose to leave. NBA fans and fans of Lil Wayne will recall a similar disagreement during last year’s Western Conference finals, as the rapper claimed he wasn’t allowed entry into Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena. A spokesman for the Thunder later said Lil Wayne wasn’t allowed into the building because he didn’t have a ticket. So who is telling the truth? BTW, doesn’t this all remind you of the song “Take me out to the ball game”? The whole point is to root root root for the home team. Weezy got the game all twisted. Besides, the Lakers suck this season anyway. AP

Brandi Glanville is firing back at claims that she cheated on Eddie Cibrian several times during their marriage before he ever slept with LeAnn Rimes. Specifically, sources say that at her bachelorette party in 2001, she got frisky with NBA star Rick Fox, who was then married to singer Vanessa Williams. “Brandi went over to Rick’s table, came back and announced, ‘I just made out with Rick Fox!’” a source tells celebrity gossip magazine Us Weekly . Years later, Brandi hooked up with Pink Taco owner and Hollywood playboy Harry Morton in 2005 in Las Vegas … and again her home in 2007. “She spent the entire weekend hooking up with Harry,” the source said of Brandi Glanville, right after her younger son Jake, now 5, was born. “Brandi and Harry were just going at it!” The report says Eddie found out about Brandi’s dalliances last year and, “It was frustrating to him since she has built a story around being a jilted wife.” It’s been well established Eddie was cheating around that same time with Scheana Marie and then began his affair with LeAnn just two years later. More than just cheating, the magazine also slams Brandi as a home-wrecker, claiming Eddie was living with Julianne Morris when Glanville first met him. “She stole Eddie Cibrian away from Julianne!” the source said. “And she complains about LeAnn being a home-wrecker.” Brandi has already denied the report on Wednesday, claiming that none of it ever happened … though not for lack of interest in retrospect. “Apparently I cheated on eddie a few times with some Hot guys! Wow! Grasping at straws 4 yrs later a week before book is out #WISHIHAD watev.”

From the Presidential Inauguration to the Super Bowl and now onto the NBA’s most star-studded weekend, A. The superstar, fresh off her national anthem performance at the Super Bowl, is set to be the halftime entertainment at the Feb. 17 game in Houston. Hide Ya Kids: 3-Year-Old Carolina Cutie Killed Playing With Pink Gun He Thought Was A Toy

This is so sad. Gun violence has claimed another young victim. Via Gawker reports : Police in Greenville, South Carolina, say a 3-year-old boy was killed Friday night after a pink gun he mistook for a toy accidentally discharged. Temorej Smith and his 7-year-old sister were in the bedroom of their unit at The Plantations at Haywood apartments, playing around with a pink handgun. Their parents were out of the house at the time, but their grandparents were reportedly sitting in the nearby living room. As the two siblings were playing with the weapon, it suddenly went off and Temorej sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Greenville Police have since ruled the boy’s death an accident. No charged have been filed, but the investigation continues. Police spokesman Johnathan Bragg said the incident tragically illustrates the importance of securing all household weapons. “If you have guns, if you own guns mostly we would prefer you have them in a lock box,” Bragg told News 4. “At least have them out of the reach of children.” Funeral services for Temorej will be held Wednesday afternoon at Golden View Baptist Church in Fountain Inn. This is so sad… Our condolences to his family. Gun owners, please, please, please be careful about leaving your weapons loaded and accessible to kids!

A Lil Positivity: The Barclays Center In Brooklyn Honors Segregated Black Basketball Stars

The Barclays Center Honors Segregated Black Basketball Stars Before black players were allowed to ball out as NBA superstars, there were a handful of segregated basketball teams known as “The Black Fives.” via The Grio The Barclays Center is linking Brooklyn’s African-American basketball history and its present-day team, the Brooklyn Nets, with a new installation of historic photographs of the Black Fives, early-20th century African-American basketball teams, throughout the arena’s main concourse. Before the NBA, there were the Black Fives, segregated basketball teams formed shortly after the game’s invention in 1891. To celebrate the unveiling of the large-scale photographs for Black History Month, the Barclays Center hosted an event Monday where Claude Johnson, founder and executive director of the Black Fives Foundation, greeted students, members of the local community, and descendants of Black Fives players. Johnson spoke about the historical significance of the Black Fives players and introduced each descendant present. The Black Fives teams were trailblazers for all African-American basketball players that have followed. According to Johnson’s website, Black Fives players “smashed the color barrier in pro basketball and helped pave the way for the Civil Rights Movement.” We salute these players during Black History Month….and every month.

NFL Hall of Famer Franco Harris & Lydell Mitchell hosted the “Immaculate Reception & Dinner Presented by Hennessy V.S” in New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend. The exclusive event raised funds for two charities, Warriors to Citizens & Clearview Legacy Foundation. Celebrities in attendance included Hall of Famer Julius “Dr.J” Erving, Barry Sanders, Jim Brown and Hines Ward. The elite former athletes were spotted smoking cigars and enjoying specialized Hennessy V.S signature cocktails including the Hennessy VS #32 names after Franco Harris & the Hennessy VS # 26 in honor of Lydell Mitchell. TMZ broke the story … Parker has filed a $20 million lawsuit against W.i.P. nightclub, claiming it should never have let Brown in last June — the night his posse fought with Drake’s people … a fight that ended with a shard of glass piercing Tony’s cornea. Tony has just filed new legal docs in his lawsuit, claiming Chris Brown’s parking-spot fiasco last week with Frank Ocean is proof he’s unfit to socialize in places where he’s likely to fly off the handle. You’ll recall … the fight between team Brown and team Drake at W.i.P. erupted because both men were romantically linked to Rihanna. And speaking of Rihanna … Tony’s new legal docs make reference to her brutal beating … at the hands of one Chris Brown. Son Of Former L.A. Lakers Player Nick Van Exel Convicted Of Murder The 22-year-old son of former famed L.A. Lakers baller Nick Van Exel has been convicted of murder and is set to be sentenced on Friday.  The attorney for Van Exel’s son says the incident was an “accidental” shooting that took place while his client and the deceased were playing around with a loaded shotgun. via The Grio North Texas jury has found the 22-year-old son of former NBA player Nick Van Exelguilty of murder in the shooting death of a longtime friend. A Dallas County jury deliberated about 2½ hours before returning its guilty verdict Thursday against Nickey Maxwell Van Exel. Prosecutors had sought a capital murder conviction. They say Van Exel fatally shot Bradley Bassey Eyo in December 2010 and dumped his body at Lake Ray Hubbard on the eastern outskirts of Dallas. Van Exel’s attorney had said the two were playing with a shotgun at Van Exel’s Garland home, and that Van Exel didn’t know the gun was loaded. Might be time to wave the white flag playa Kris Humphries Family Is Embarrassed That Divorce Is Taking So Long Via RadarOnline Kris Humphries‘ family is desperate for the NBA star to settle his bitter divorce battle with Kim Kardashian and an insider exclusively tells RadarOnline.com they’re frustrated by his need for revenge. Kris, 27, turned down a $10 million payoff from Kim, 32, because he’s adamant the 72-day marriage was a fraud and he wants it annulled. “Kris’ family finds the entire matter really annoying because they’re tired of the negative attention and don’t want to be tied to Kim at all anymore,” the insider revealed. “They just want it to be over.” According to the source, Kris’ sister, Kaela Humphries, is particularly frustrated because she feels her career with the Ford Models agency is suffering because of her brother’s reputation. “It’s not completely damaging her career, but she does get turned down more than usual because a lot of the agencies are pro-Kim,” the source told RadarOnline.com. You know it’s bad when you start taking food off other people’s table SMH “And Kaela has no animosity towards Kim.
