Los Angeles Clippers Doc Rivers used a timeout during a contest to urge the Staples Center crowd to stand and clap for Nowitzki. ESPN reports : Dirk Nowitzki had no idea why LA Clippers coach Doc Rivers called a timeout with 9.4 seconds remaining and his team leading by nine points Monday night. Rivers’ reasoning became clear seconds later when he walked to the scorer’s table, picked up the public address announcer’s microphone and gave an impromptu tribute to Nowitzki, the legendary face of the Dallas Mavericks franchise who is in his 21st season. “Dirk! Dirk!” Rivers hollered, gesturing to the Staples Center crowd to show its appreciation to the all-time great who was playing perhaps his last game in the arena, then pointing toward Nowitzki. “Let’s go! Let’s go! In a Youtube conversation with fans, Cole revealed he hopes to release the project by April. “ROTD is being finished right now, post-production sh*t,” he said, according to screenshots posted by VIBE . “Tracking out songs, sequencing then editing, then we gotta mix. We’re shooting for April.” He also responded to a fan’s question about why he decided to drop “Middle Child” as a single . “Good question,” he said. “Past 3 albums I dropped with no single. Haven’t dropped a real single since Born Sinner . The way I was doing it was getting too stale for me, I had to get out my comfort zone.” If you missed Cole’s new visual, watch that here . Source: Christian Petersen / Getty Demarcus Cousins Is Getting His Own Showtime Documentary Showtime announced on Friday that they finally have a premiere date for The Resurgence: DeMarcus Cousins , a documentary that will follow the basketball star’s comeback from a career-threatening injury. The film is set to debut on the premium cable network at 8 p.m. on April 13. According to Showtime, The Resurgence is going to provide viewers with “unfettered access” to DeMarcus Cousins throughout his very emotional comeback from a career-threatening Achilles injury, along with his “roller coaster ride through free agency that resulted in a stunning one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors. In a statement released by the network, Stephen Espinoza–chief of the network’s sports programming–said the film “delivers the intimate account and high-stakes drama of one of the most misunderstood men in sports. DeMarcus reveals himself as never before—a relatable man whose fiercely competitive personality, daily struggles and triumphs embody the nature of sport.” The Resurgence is going to include exclusive interviews with teammates, coaches and NBA insiders closest to the story, which includes John Calipari, who coached Cousins at University of Kentucky, former Sacramento Kings’ head coach Mike Malone, Warriors coach Steve Kerr, along with current and former teammates Isaiah Thomas, Matt Barnes, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and more. Since the NBA’s free agency period last summer, the network has released a series of short behind-the-scenes clips online to introduce the project, which includes the moment when Cousins shocked fans by announcing he would join the Warriors for the 2018-’19 season. When the world first learned that Tristan Thompson had been caught cheating on Khloe Kardashian , it was widely assumed that she would promptly kick his philandering ass to the curb. After all, Khloe has long enjoyed a reputation as the most headstrong Kardashian, and she’s typically not one to broker any BS, particularly from the men she dates. But to the surprise of millions who admire Khloe for her boldness, the 34-year-old decided to give Tristan a second chance. And for a while there, it looked as though the relationship might actually work. Tristan moved to LA during the NBA offseason so that he could be closer to Khloe and baby True. And throughout that time, Khloe regularly posted “happy family” photos in which she and Tristan could be seen smiling alongside their bundle of joy. But once Tristan returned to Cleveland to rejoin the Cavs, things seemed to change abruptly. These days, Tristan makes very few appearances on Khloe’s Instagram page, and insiders say there’s good reason for that. According to a new report from People magazine, Khloe “rarely talks about” Tristan these days, and it doesn’t seem especially concerned with what — or who — he might be doing. “Khloe and True are happy in Los Angeles. They spend very little time in Cleveland, where Tristan is,” a source tells the magazine. “She very much acts like a single mom.” Yes, it sounds as though Khloe hasn’t officially pulled the plug on her relationship — but she’s no longer actively dating Tristan. Fortunately, it also seems that she’s not terribly upset about the situation. Insiders say Khloe tried to make the relationship work primarily for her daughter’s sake. These days, however, True is her whole world, and she’s perfectly happy devoting all of her time to attending to the 1-year-old’s needs. “Her whole life is True,” the source says. “Khloé is a great mom. It’s so obvious how much she loves being a mom,” the insider adds. “She likes that True is a bit older now — they attend classes with other babies True’s age and Khloé is making sure she has friends.” Amazingly, it seems like this situation may have worked out well for everyone involved. With the NBA trade deadline quickly coming teams that specifically have Davis on their radar are putting together possible trade packages. The Lakers have long been considered the favorites to land the unibrow rocking all-star, but the tanking for Zion Williamson Knicks could also be in play for Davis’ services according to Bleacher Report . With a first-round draft pick, the possibility of luring Kevin Durant away from the Golden State Warriors and Kristaps Porzingis as trade bait the laughing stock of NYC can turn into contenders once again. Per Bleacher Report : “The Knicks, on the other hand, haven’t been a preferred destination for years—but there are indications of that potentially changing. League sources believe they have “a strong chance” of luring Durant should he leave the Golden State Warriors this summer and that Davis is “open” to New York as a landing place as well. Throw in a pick in this year’s NBA draft that could potentially add Duke’s Zion Williamson or RJ Barrett or Murray State’s Ja Morant, and there’s finally a reason for optimism in Manhattan.” “To get Davis, a deal would likely have to involve Porzingis. The hitch, there is that any deal involving Porzingis, the soon-to-be restricted free agent, would have to be consummated before next week’s trade deadline as he couldn’t be dealt after the season prior to hitting free agency.” As for the Lakers, the report not only talks about the team having a good shot at luring Davis based on the fact LeBron James sharing an agent in Rich Paul, there is also rumblings of Kyrie Irving wanting to reunite with his former Cavaliers teammate.
