Katy Perry has said time and again lately that she’s not perfect and that her life is not a fairy tale. This is the theme of her “Wide Awake” video. It starts off with KP wrapping up the shoot for “California Gurls,” before being transported to an alternate reality by a younger version of herself. Take a look at it below and tell us what you think! Katy Perry – Wide Awake “It’s kind of like the labyrinth of my life in the last two years,” Perry explained to MTV. “I just wanted to tell a story about myself kind of going through this journey, maybe sometimes trying to get out of a maze. There’s good parts and bad parts.” Is one of those bad parts an allusion to Russell Brand? She’ll probably tell you it doesn’t, but at one point of the music video, our fair Katy Perry meets – and decks – her Prince Charming. Fitting.
Dwyane Wade is currently battling the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. But the elite shooting guard was faced with an obstacle far greater than guarding Kevin Durant this weekend, when his estranged ex-wife attempted to kidnap the former couple’s two children. A rep for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Siohvaughn Funches-Wade was arrested for allegedly trying to abduct the boys, saying in a statement: “Siohvaughn Funches-Wade was charged with two counts of attempted child abduction, two counts of unlawful visitation interference and one count of resisting arrest.” She posted $10,000 bond and will appear in court again this August. Dwyane – who is dating actress Gabrielle Union – has legal custody of the children and will reportedly use this incident to limit Siohvaughn’s visitation rights, considering it’s not even her first foray into seriously shady behavior. In the past couple years, Siohvaughn has sued Union for causing emotional distress and also accused Wade of giving her a STD .
‘I haven’t read it, but yeah, anything racy, hot … sure, let’s get hot!’ actress tells MTV News. By Christina Garibaldi Emma Roberts Photo: It seems that every young starlet in Hollywood has been mentioned for the role of Anastasia Steele in the upcoming film adaptation of E L James’ hit erotic trilogy, “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Many fans have opinions as to who they feel will be a perfect fit to play the naive, love-stricken character, whose story began as “Twilight” fan fiction. Fan favorite Kristen Stewart , who we know has read at least part of the book , is certainly topping the list for some fan sites, while Nina Dobrev may pass on the opportunity to play the role if her “Vampire Diaries” co-star Ian Somerhalder lands the part of Christian Grey . Most recently, Selena Gomez decided to take herself out of the race, calling the role “a little too much” for her and saying that someone a bit older should take it on. Could that older someone be Emma Roberts ? MTV News caught up with Roberts at Seventeen magazine’s Pretty Amazing Contest event in New York, and it seems that the young star might be putting herself into the competition for the role. There’s just one problem: She still has to read the book. “Everyone says read ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ I don’t really understand,” Roberts said. “But everyone on the plane was reading it, and I was like, ‘I should probably just get it.’ ” Roberts may be perfect to take on the part of Ana, since, at 21, she is around the same age and already has the dark hair to match. But would she be willing to do those steamy love scenes? “I haven’t read it, I don’t even understand, but yeah, it sounds awesome. Anything racy, hot,” Roberts said. “Sure, let’s get hot.” Do you think Emma would be a perfect Anastasia Steele? Let us know in the comments!
Fourth victim claims she suffered spinal injury during fight and plans to sue Drake. By Gil Kaufman Drake and Chris Brown Photo: We haven’t heard very much from Chris Brown or Drake about what happened at a New York nightclub last week. But we have gotten a string of comments from at least three women who claim to have been injured by flying bottles in the melee. The latest alleged victim spoke up on Tuesday, telling TMZ that she thinks Drake is the one to blame for the fight and that she plans to sue him over her injuries. The woman, Vladimira Brace, has hired a lawyer, who is claiming that his client suffered a spinal injury when she was trampled in the chaos that erupted at the SoHo nightclub W.i.P. in the early morning hours of June 14. Attorney Allan Friedman has reportedly sent a letter to Drake’s reps that alleges, “Your client instigated a brawl with Mr. Chris Brown … [Drake’s] actions were reckless and negligent in inflaming a violent mob … My client personally observed several members of [Drake’s] entourage throwing bottles of champagne with reckless and criminal disregard of the well-being of the innocent bystanders.” Drake’s spokespeople have denied his involvement in the fight, saying he exited the club before it began. Quoting unnamed sources close to Drake, TMZ said the rapper’s reps called Friedman’s allegations “laughable,” referring to the attorney’s claims that the Toronto MC has a “well-documented history” of making “vulgar, abusive and profane remarks concerning women.” Drake’s people noted that he was at the club with just a few security guards, unlike Brown and fellow rapper Meek Mill , who they claim had large entourages with them. And, in light of Brown’s past, which includes a felony assault plea in connection with his 2009 attack on former girlfriend Rihanna, Drake’s reps said the suggestion that their guy has an abuse history with women is hard to justify. Brace is the fourth woman to come forward with claims that she was injured in the fight. In addition to Brown, who posted a photo of his split chin, as well as the singer’s bodyguard, who sustained a head injury, NBA star Tony Parker and Australian tourist Hollie C., have claimed injuries from the fight. Also, a 21-year-old model, Ingrid Gutierrez, claims to have suffered a blow to the head from a bottle and her lawyer said she may require plastic surgery. Another victim, Lucy Pavlovsky, said she suffered a gash to the arm that required 12 stitches and she too is said to be considering legal action against the responsible parties. Police have not made any arrests over the incident, but they have subpoenaed the security tapes from the club and are reviewing them. Related Artists Drake Chris Brown
Let’s be clear: Kim Kardashian nude is not exactly an unusual sight on the Internet. Heck, we have an entire album filled with this reality star’s Playboy photos . Then, there was that time she posed naked for W … oh, and also for Harper’s Bazaar . But a Tweeted photo that has been circulating around the Web today – and appears to be just the latest example of Kardashian baring pretty much all – has now been debunked: as similar looking at the following birthday-suited woman may be, this is NOT Kim Kardashian. The Twit pic – which is actually of model Amia Miley – was originally believed to have been posted by Kanye West, but the rapper’s camp quickly shot down that rumor with a statement to E! News. “This is obviously the desperate, sad act of someone seeking to gain media exposure by exploiting Kanye’s notoriety. Kanye doesn’t even know this person, has never seen this picture, and hasn’t been on his Twitter account for a day. It’s a shame that in our media culture, the rampant spread of this kind of irresponsible ‘reporting’ occurs with such regularity and with such impunity.” Seriously. How dare Internet users think someone would Tweet an image of Kim Kardashian in the buff ? From where would they get this crazy notion?!?
Lifetime has released some promotional pictures for Bristol Palin’s new reality show, and doggone it, she looks like such a grounded, normal mom ! Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp (get it?!) premieres on June 19 with two (!) episodes. Here’s one awesome reason why you should check it out, too. Behold, Bristol riding a mechanical bull. She’s so fun! This pic was taken, of course, during the infamous incident where Bristol was asked if she rides Levi like that (hilarious) and then got all up in the face of a heckler who said some really vile things about her mom (not hilarious). Through it all, Life’s a Tripp will document the ups and downs of Sarah Palin’s daughter as she adjusts to life in L.A. with her young son, Tripp. “Giving viewers a unique look at the difficult decisions she makes for relationships and family,” Lifetime says, will testify to Palin’s resolve. Dear Kris Humphries: Please stop it. You’re starting to make Kim Kardashian look good. In the latest bizarre twist to the relationship between this NBA power forward and Myla Sinanaj , Humphries has allegedly accused his ex-girlfriend of running a personal brothel out of the New York City hotel where they met. Really! Joe Tacopina – Sinanaj’s attorney – tells TMZ that Humphries and his legal team are determined to hide the fact that Kris and Myla dated for five months because it would damage their divorce case against Kardashian , as they attempt to milk her for as much money as possible and it would look bad if a supposedly heartbroken Humphries moved on as early as January. Therefore, in an attempt to destroy Sinanaj’s credibility, a lawyer for Humphries actually phoned the hotel at which Myla works and tried to get her fired… but alleging she was sleeping with guests there for money! Management reportedly looked into this claim and quickly dismissed it. Now, Tacopina says he’s close to filing a defamation suit against Humphries and the baller better apologize ASAP, recanting all slanderous accusations against his client… or else. But the odds of this happening are apparently as strong as the odds of Kim Kardashian winning an Academy Awards. “He will not be apologizing,” says a source.

Finally ladies have some official fan gear that isn’t pink! NBA Licenses Custom-Made High Heels For Women The men of the NBA have never shied away from making fashion statements. There have been Daisy Duke-style shorts, shants (the baggy hybrid of shorts and pants), Pat Riley Armani suits, Air Jordans, Dennis Rodman tattoos, piercings, and hair dyes, and Allen Iverson sideways caps and corn rows. This season the Urkel-meets-Brooklyn-hipster costume is making headlines, best exemplified by the colorful wire framed glasses sans lenses worn by the Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade and LeBron James, and the big boy fishy, teddy bear and umbrella-themed polo shirts worn by the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook. But the latest trend the NBA is hoping to bank on is a new offering for its female fans: high heels. Yesterday the league announced its license agreement with Orlando-based shoe designer Herstar for a line of heels that includes two designs available for all 30 teams. One is a 6-inch crystal beaded version currently retailing for $275, the other a 4-inch microsuede version retailing for $99. Yes, 6-inch and 4-inch heels. The founder and CEO of Herstar, Holly Joffrion, can explain. Frustrated when nothing came of her online search for a pair of sport high heels to wear to an Orlando Magic game she was attending with her husband, the shoe designer had the vision of making her own team-themed pair. She worked on some prototype images with various teams’ logos and then last September the 25-year old posted a few on her website to gauge fan interest. Within three days, without any marketing or promotion, while the league was on the verge of its lockout, she found she was not the only one searching for such shoes. She had over 100 requests for her prototypes. Fortunately Joffrion already had her manufacturer and distributor lined up, as she had already been in the shoe business for five years. But the next hurdle was the NBA license agreement application. Without it she was unable to make or sell the shoes. So for three months she and her husband, who has a background in finance, hustled to get the paperwork done. By the time she presented her application to the NBA in February, Herstar’s back orders were in the hundreds, still without the company engaging in any marketing or advertising, outside of Facebook and Pinterest postings. It was more than enough to make up for the lack of 3-year sales figures the league requested on the merchandise. Additionally, by that point Joffrion had been so overwhelmed by requests for something higher than the 3-inch pair she had online, that she first added the 4-inch heels to the mix and later when asked for even higher, offered the 6-inch version. (For the record, Herstar will customize to lower lengths.) Yesterday after the NBA’s press release, Herstar’s sales jumped 400 percent on daily volume; traffic for the company’s website, where the shoes are primarily sold, jumped from a typical 4,000 daily hits to 35,000 hits. In total the company has sold enough pairs of heels to cover the initial $30,000 upfront license fee the NBA required and is already profitable. Current customers include the Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard and Daniel Orton, while the top three sales markets are the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder. This lady is about to get PAID! Vicky Picca, the NBA’s senior vice president of licensing and business affairs, said the league and more importantly its 25 million female NBA fans in the US couldn’t be happier. “Our female business has tripled over the last 5 years and what our fans were saying is that they no longer wanted a pink version of a male product,” said Picca. “This appeals to our savvy female consumer.” Ladies, would you rock a pair of these hoops heels?
