Lil Wayne ‘Embraced’ Lil B On Sorry 4 The Wait Collabo

‘I was nervous, and I don’t even get nervous about nothing,’ B tells MTV News about recording ‘Grove St. Party’ with Weezy. By Steven Roberts Lil B Photo: Roger Kisby/ Getty Images Lil Wayne dropped his highly anticipated and aptly titled Sorry 4 the Wait mixtape on Wednesday, further cementing his knack for jacking beats. One surprise on the project was Weezy’s take on Waka Flocka Flame’s “Grove St. Party,” which included a feature from the Based God himself, Lil B. B was photographed with the YMCB family this past June, and he even tweeted about recording a track with Wayne. Now that the track has finally come to fruition, MTV News caught up with the Based God to chat about the experience and his gratitude to Mack Maine for setting it up. “He put us two together, me and Wayne, because he knew I had dumb-ass respect and major love for Wayne,” Lil B told us. “A lot of people say that I’m like him, and I take that as a compliment. It was crazy to see how Wayne embraced me, how he really respect my music [as] an artist. “I was nervous, and I don’t even get nervous about nothing, but I was nervous with that boy Wayne in that mother—-er,” he added about their session. “It was a good nervous, because it was like, ‘Man, I really made it.’ It was a bunch of people in the studio, but Wayne had it for me and him to get on this song, and it was just a real honor.” Lil B said the experience was like an NBA rookie getting a chance to play one-on-one against Kobe or Jordan, adding that Wayne was a fan of his music — the copious amounts of it — and a supporter of what he was doing. “He really liked the song ‘Free Wayne’ that I did,” Lil B said. “He knows what’s up. Wayne is hip. He knows about the cooking dance and everything. We was out there cooking at the Curren$y show, going nuts. Everybody at Cash Money, I just want them to have a long life, be safe, healthy and have fun and be happy.” Have you checked out Wayne’s “Grove St. Party”? Share your reviews in the comments! Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries’ Wedding Date is …

Really soon! Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries only started dating last November, and he just proposed in May, but you can forget about a long engagement. They’re tying the knot Saturday, August 20. While the pair hasn’t confirmed where the ceremony will be or whether E! cameras will film the event, we’re 100 percent guaranteeing they will. We suppose a summer wedding makes sense in terms of spinning off their new show and Kris’ currently non-existent NBA season, but damn, that was fast! Details are scarce, but it seems likely that Vera Wang will be designing Kim’s dress, as the star has already gone to two appointments at Vera’s stores. What we do know for sure is that Khloe is going all out to embarrass Kim at her the bachelorette party, while Kris Jenner will be calling the shots . THG will be providing extensive coverage of the big weekend, of course. It should be decadent … but how long do you think this marriage will last?

Cali Swag District Recall Last Moments With M-Bone

‘We was just chilling,’ C-Smoove tells ‘RapFix Live’ of being in the studio with M-Bone the day he was killed. By Alvin Blanco, with reporting by Sway Calloway Cali Swag District on “RapFix Live” Photo: MTV News Cali Swag District just dropped their new album, The Kickback, on Tuesday, following the success of their massive hit “Teach Me How to Dougie.” But the accomplishment is bittersweet since it arrived nearly two months after the murder of Mante “M-Bone” Talbert . The remaining members of the group — Yung, C-Smoove and JayAre — hit MTV News’ “Rap Fix Live” on Wednesday (July 13) and, after refuting rumors that they were involved in M-Bone’s death, talked about the last time they each spoke to their late friend. “We was talking about shoes. I just bought the Cool Greys, the Jordans,” Yung said of his last conversation with M-Bone. “He was like, ‘Man, I can’t find those nowhere, let me buy them from you.’ And I just had bought ’em, and I was like, ‘Nah.’ And [then], I was like, ‘You know what? I don’t even want them.’ But then I was like, ‘No, but I do.’ And then he was like, ‘Fine, I’m just going to go buy them myself.’ So what he did was he went to the store and he bought them and he took a picture of them [and sent it to all of us]. I was like, ‘It’s all good, though. We all got them, so we a team, you feel me?’ I used to tell him that all the time, I used to be like, ‘Yo, we a team, B.’ ” JayAre was playing a video game with his fallen friend the last he saw him alive. “I think the last time we talked, we was playing [NBA 2K11] or something,” JayAre said. “I always got the Lakers, he played with the Heat. He was a Heat fan. I think he won that game that time.” C-Smoove said, “Last time I talked to Bone, he was like, ‘Hey, is Kickback jumping?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, man, we up here.’ He was like, ‘I’m on my way.’ Came to the studio; he came comfortable man — basketball shorts, little Heat jacket, some Nikes or something — he wasn’t even trying to impress nobody. He was just up there chilling in his little giddy-up. He just woke up, drove to the studio. We was just chilling. “And that’s right before he went to the store, man,” Smoove recalled. M-Bone was shot in his car on La Brea Avenue, not far from the Inglewood, California spot Airport Liquor and Groceries. “That was the last time I talked to him.” Smoove’s comment sparked a particularly fond memory for another member of the group. “I remember that whole day too,” Yung said. “I remember we all was at Smoove’s house for his birthday. [M-Bone] pulled up on the side. We all sitting in the cars and stuff, we got girls out there, ’cause we always got girls somewhere. It’s like 20 people, [and] like 19 of them was girls. So we out there, and Bone, he wasn’t there. And he just pulled up in his Camaro and he was like, ‘What’s going on here?!’ I was like, ‘Don’t worry about it; either you with us or you ain’t.’ And he was like, ‘I’m with you.’ So he parked and hopped in the car and then he was with us.” M-Bone’s murder remains unsolved. Bow Wow Excluded From His Daughter’s Birth Certificate

Original post:

The plot between Bow Wow and the mother of his child, video model Joie Chavis, thickens as more drama is revealed to the world. According to TMZ , Joie decided to exclude Bow Wow’s name from the birth certificate of their child, Shai, since he did not show up to the hospital during the birth of their daughter after Joie had to undergo an emergency c-section back in April. In fact, it is reported that Bow Wow didn’t show up until six days after the baby was born! Joie is also stating that Bow Wow is a fake, and is acting like he’s a devoted dad from the open letter he wrote to his fans earlier this week but was absent during their daughter’s birth. Although she obvisouly seems to have ill feelings toward the rapper, it’s reported that Joie is willing to move on and let the courts name Bow Wow as baby Shai’s father, legally, although that will be up to the discretion of the judge. SMH. Every girl needs a father in their life! I hope everything works out for Bow Wow, Joie and their daughter! Read more here. “The Decision”: One Year Later

Here is the original post:

One year ago on July 8, 2010 shortly after 9:30 pm NBA superstar LeBron James –arguably the most coveted free agent in sports history–changed the landscape of professional basketball with ten words: “this fall I’m gonna take my talents to South Beach”. Just like that LeBron James was no longer a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers , his hometown team, the team that drafted him number one overall in the 2003 NBA draft. Just like that James, whose image was on par with Yankees captain Derek Jeter (the squeaky clean variety), became a pariah. Cleveland fans ripped LeBron jerseys off their person and burned them in disgust much to the nationally televised horror of King James. The name-calling was relentless utilizing Nike slogans (“Quitness”), his government name (“LeBum”), and his own royal self-proclaimed nickname (“Queen James”). While Cleveland fans were the only people who really had a right to be upset at LeBron, Knicks fans (who swore he would choose the team since the venue of his announcement was in Connecticut), who cheered him every time he step foot in the Garden during the 2009-2010 season, piled on the insults as well. Hall of Fame players took subtle shots at LeBron (Michael Jordan) and direct bullets (Charles Barkley) questioning his leadership ability and his place as an all-time great. His close friend Jay-Z reportedly stopped speaking to James miffed that he was not informed that LeBron would not be coming to the New Jersey Nets . The following night LeBron topped himself successfully alienating the fans of the other 24 or so teams who were not in the running for his services by appearing on stage with his new teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in a pep rally/free agent signing celebration where he arrogantly predicted the Heat would win “not 5, not 6, not 7…” NBA championships. Now that the 2010-2011 season has ended in an NBA Finals collapse for LeBron’s Heat, where James himself did nothing in the fourth quarter of all the games, the NBA lockout threatens to shorten the upcoming season and there are rumors that Bosh may be traded to open up more money to bring in better role players. The only question I have is: if LeBron had chosen to stay with Cleveland would he have been vilified the same way for televising his decision? Cry Me A River: The NBA Lockout Is Interfering With Kimmy Cakes And Kris Humphries’ Reality Spinoff Plans

That gosh darned lockout is screwing with your Kimmy Cakes overload dolls! Humphries and fiancee Kim Kardashian are in talks for a spinoff reality show on E!, dependent upon where the power forward signs as a free agent, Hollywoodlife.com reports. “Kim and Kris have been filming different parts of their lives, including wedding prep, but their show hinges on Kris’s contract negotiations,” an insider close to the production told the Web site. “Currently he’s a free agent, but it all depends on what teams he ends up with and their rules for their players and outside commitments.” Humphries is unable to sign with a team until the NBA lockout is over. He made $3.2 million last season and the Nets want him back at a reasonable price — and all indications are he wants to return. “We have to take care of the lockout first and from there my agent is going to handle the process and lay everything out,” Humphries said last month. The couple intends to continue on E!’s “Keeping up with the Kardashians” in addition to a new show, conditions permitting. The good news is, if the lockout continues Kris can spend all year being Kimmy Cakes’ b*tch! And what a job that is… Source
