In White Folks News: Craig Sager Jr. Tweets About Deceased Dad’s Pesky Seedless Left Behind Estate Hassling Him

A few days ago, Deadspin reported that deceased NBA journalist C raig Sager left nothing to his children from his first marriage. That included his son Craig Sager II, who had given his dad bone marrow, in an attempt to save his life TWICE. Court papers confirmed even though the sportscaster left all of his property to his second wife, Stacy Jo Sager, and excluded the three adult children from his first marriage, his older children are getting called to court over it. His son is annoyed, justifiably and tweeted this: Nothing like getting served, pestered by Sherrifs & taken to court over a Will that myself and my sisters are not only 100% excluded from but do not even have any interest in contesting in the first place. Thanks Dad — Craig Sager II (@CraigSagerJr) January 2, 2018 His older sister, Kacy, issued  a statement  about the situation the following day. “We knew he left her everything. We knew his original will had been revised to exclude us,” she wrote. “And honestly? We didn’t care…. It sucks so damn hard that, after months without communication, our first ‘contact’ with Stacy was through lawyers and the poor sheriffs who had to waste their time serving us.” For all the people who thought he was being petty, airing this out on twitter he clarified: Craig Sager wrote his son out of his will the day after he spent 9 days in Houston trying to save his life a 2nd time. Craig Sager’s son & his 2 sisters that were also written out never contested it, but have been taken to court so they can never contest it. Make sense now? Exclusive: “To Rome For Love’s” Ashley Russell Said She Went On Show After Footballer Fiancee Cheated

“To Rome For Love” Premieres Jan. 7 On Bravo One of the stars of a new reality show about black women seeking love internationally said she decided to go abroad after ending a toxic relationship with her pro footballer fiancee. “I wanted to be part of this experience because dating, it’s changed. It’s changed a lot,” Ashley Russell said of her new show “To Rome For Love.” “I’m from a small town, and I grew up in a single parent home. Everybody here knows everybody. I wanted to go outside the norm and experience something different.” Russell is among a group of black women on “To Rome For Love,” who have struck out in America’s dating culture and opted to spend six weeks in Rome to explore relationships with Italian men. The Covington, La. native said that after her nine-year relationship with her pro-football playing fiancee ended because of his infidelity, she didn’t have anything to lose. “I fell in love with a man who was very powerful,” Russell said. “So I was always in the back…I was second to his career. I was never secure about myself. It was hard coming from this relationship and trusting that I could find love again.” While Russell was coy on whether she’d found her own “Italian Stallion,” she did say that she had no shortage of admirers and said her time with the show’s relationship expert Diane Valentine, changed how she saw herself. Bravo Media/ Philippe Antonello/ Ernesto Ruscio “Diane made me realize that I was enough,” Russell said. “It’s all about the person that’s inside. It had nothing to do with what I looked like. For a long time, I thought it was about the outer appearance. I thought that would help me find a man. She helped me realize that I’m an amazing woman with a lot to offer.” Russell said that she hopes viewers – and especially black women – will take away from the show that all love starts from within. “I just want them to keep their minds open about the process,” Russell said. “And as black women, I want us to remember that whether it’s Rome, whether it’s Tennessee, or whether its Louisiana, you have to love yourself. For people to love you, you have to accept yourself.”

TRF Images / Splash News/David Becker/Getty Images for iHeartMedia Khloe Kardashian Talks In Detail About Her Pregnancy But Won’t Say If Kylie Is Pregnant Khloé Kardashian went on “The Ellen Show,” presumably to discuss her new season of “Revenge Body” but she spent the majority of her time discussing her pregnancy, including how she’s not really eating any extra. She says that she and Tristan haven’t found out the sex of the child yet. Watch the first part of the interview below: Now the part of the interview that has been getting the most attention is that Khloé reveals she and Tristan plan to name their baby Tristan Jr. if it’s a boy, but they haven’t picked a girl name. This will be Tristan’s second son but we’re guessing Jordan wasn’t really feeling like naming her son Jr. considering he left her while she was knocked up to take up with Tristan. To her credit, Khloe says Tristan is a good Dad to Prince and has been very supportive of her during pregnancy. The interview gets hilarious though when Ellen asks if Kylie has been having cravings. Watch below: Kudos to her for staying strong, but at this point, we don’t have to see Khloe’s eyes or hear her denials to know what time it is. Carmelo Anthony swooped in to save the day after estranged wife La La and his son Kiyan missed their flight to Los Angeles earlier this week. According to Page Six reports: La La Anthony surprised 250 girls at a winter-wonderland-themed charity event on Thursday for Girls Inc. of NYC at Gauchos Gym in The Bronx, donating sneakers, hats and gloves. “It’s . . . important to give back to those who are not only less fortunate but who are working hard and deserve it,” she said. La La and son Kiyan missed their flight after the event, so Carmelo Anthony chartered a private jet for them later that night so they could get to LA and be together for the holiday weekend. Baron Davis Takes On The Breakfast Club The latest guest to visit The Breakfast Club studio is two-time NBA All-Star Baron Davis . He stopped by to discuss his latest endeavor, the Black Santa movement (as evidenced by his sweater). He also gives his thoughts on rookie Lonzo Ball, an he doesn’t necessarily agree with the people who think he’s not performing up to the standards that everyone expected. He says about the new Laker, “[He’s] playing great for a rookie playing for the Lakers with this much attention and pressure. He handles it all well. I think he’s going to be great. It’s just a matter of putting the right pieces [around him]. He’s the type of player – if you put the right pieces around him, potent scorers and people who can actually dominate the game, then he’s the guy who’s going to make all the right decisions.”

HBO Greenlights Two New Issa Rae Shows, ‘Him Or Her’ And ‘Sweet Life’

It was just announced that the top premium cable network has nabbed two new series’ from the Insecure star that already sound addictive. . @HBO developing @IssaRae EP’d male dating comedy & Windsor Hills set drama https://t.co/nSC2SsVDwf — Deadline Hollywood (@DEADLINE) December 18, 2017 While we continue to wait on season three of the incredible Insecure , HBO and Issa Rae have given fans an early Christmas present with news that the actress/creator/producer has two new series in the works, Him Or Her and Sweet Life , that are completely different from Insecure , proving that Rae is unstoppable right now. Deadline first broke the news of the new programming between HBO and Rae, including an in-depth synopsis about each show. Via Deadline: HBO has picked up the comedy and the drama from the Golden Globe nominated ‘Insecure’ star and co-creator for development as a part of Rae’s 2016 inked first look producing deal with the premium cabler. Along with ex-‘Daily Show’ writer and Emmy-winner Travon Free, Rae will executive produce ‘Him or Her.’ The single camera half-hour chronicles the dating life of a bisexual black man and the distinctly different worlds and relationships he finds himself in. Rae’s ColorCreative.TV partner Deniese Davis will also EP the comedy along with 3 Arts with Full Frontal writer Free penning the series. Set in the Black Beverly Hills of Windsor Hills, ‘Sweet Life’ is a coming of age tale of the well-heeled teens growing up in the LA neighborhood. Co-created by Rae and Scandal producer Raamla Mohamed, the duo will pen the one-hour drama. Both Mohamed and Rae are EPs on ‘Sweet Life ,’ along with 3 Arts. After reading the synopsis for each series…um, can we have them now?! Issa Rae is consistently proving that her voice and vision is incredibly necessary in the television world and she’s not afraid to tackle controversial topics, as Him Or Her is likely to be, given that the male lead is bisexual. As for Insecure , season three is currently in production and can likely be expected to premiere in the summer of 2018. Meanwhile, you can check out Rae next in the popular Black Lives Matter-inspired film adaptation of the novel, The Hate U Give that stars Amandla Stenberg and Regina Hall. She will play an activist who provides support to Stenberg’s character Starr. LeBron James Calls The School He’s Opening In Akron, OH The Most Important Thing He’s Ever Done

VCG/VCG via Getty Images LeBron Is Very Proud Of The School He’s Opening In His Hometown LeBron James has made it clear that his charitable foundation’s most recent project is the most important thing he’s ever done. The Akron native said on Thursday, “It is. Besides having three kids and marrying my wife, putting my mom in a position where she never has to worry about anything ever again for the rest of her life, this is right up there. Championships, MVPs, I mean, points, rebounds and assists, that stuff is, whatever.” The LeBron James Family Foundation is set to open the “I Promise School” in the fall, and it will be specifically for third and fourth graders in the Akron Public Schools system who are at risk of falling behind. The James foundation’s plan was approved unanimously by the Akron School Board this week, and on top of that, LeBron’s entertainment company will also be producing a documentary on the  opening of the school. The mission with James’ foundation, since 2010, has been to improve reading skills and eventually graduation rates for children in Akron Public Schools. He has said time and time again that he wants to help children who faced the same challenges he did growing up. Shoutout to Bron for being so dedicated to helping his hometown grow!
