Birdman’s 2018 is not off to a great start. The Cash Money mogul has reportedly been forced out of his $12 million mansion due to his increasing money troubles. Birdman is feeling the financial woes https://t.co/F0Jjfk2Loa — BET (@BET) January 18, 2018 As reported by BET , Birdman has defaulted on a $12 million loan for his sprawling Miami mansion, and as a result he has been forced to vacate due to repeatedly delinquent payments on the property. He also has to surrender all access to the property’s security systems and passwords immediately. Via BET: The repossession of [Birdman’s] home stems from a strenuous lawsuit with EMG Transfer Agent, which accused the producer of failing to pay a $12 million loan. The mansion, which was bought for $14.5 million in 2012, was ultimately put up as collateral for the loan, according to The Blast. The court reportedly appointed a representative that will seize control of Birdman’s former residence, along with its contracts, leases and rental agreement. The rep will also hold on to the home’s furniture and equipment, including several recliners in the theater room, golden chairs and foyer. A judge mandated that the property cannot be sold or transferred until the entire legal issue is resolved. If you’ve been keeping up, then you may recall that Birdman has been involved in a string of money issues in recent years, most notably with former Cash Money Records superstar Lil Wayne due to his claim of unpaid royalties.   Check out today’s Top Stories here: Angela Bassett-Led Series ‘911’ Renewed For Season 2 Trailer Drops For Paula Patton + Omar Epps Thriller ‘Traffik’

Deadline first broke the news of the new programming between HBO and Rae, including an in-depth synopsis about each show. Via Deadline: HBO has picked up the comedy and the drama from the Golden Globe nominated ‘Insecure’ star and co-creator for development as a part of Rae’s 2016 inked first look producing deal with the premium cabler. Omarosa Gives Interview On ‘Good Morning America’ After White House Exit

See the original post here:

Despite the drama-filled 24 hours that have surrounded her, Omarosa Manigault still managed to head to the Good Morning America studios for a sit-down interview to let the world know her side of why she’s no longer a member of the Trump administration. Apparently, everyone but Omarosa Manigault knows that she was fired from her “never really explained” position in the Trump White House, however that didn’t stop her from going on Good Morning America and telling Michael Strahan her side of things. Reports immediately started flying about Omarosa’s unceremonious exit from the White House, which included being physically escorted off the premises, her cursing and yelling and demanding to speak to Trump before she left. In her first (and very quick) interview since the turn of events, she did what was expected—denied everything and insisted that she resigned to “pursue other opportunities.” This is the same sentiment that was echoed by Trump, as he tweeted and thanked Omarosa for her service. Check out the FULL interview with Omarosa BELOW: EXCLUSIVE: @omarosa to @michaelstrahan : “I resigned and it will be taking place January the 20th when I leave this very interesting administration.” pic.twitter.com/CscDX94VkB — Good Morning America (@GMA) December 14, 2017 Meanwhile, beloved Good Morning America correspondent Robin Roberts had her own unexpected, but totally badass response to Omarosa’s interview—simply stating “Bye, Felicia!” as she quickly discussed Strahan’s interview with the former reality star. Take a look at Robin Roberts reaction BELOW: That amazing moment when @RobinRoberts hits Omarosa with the ‘Bye Felicia!’ pic.twitter.com/gdWDVeStJj — theGrio.com (@theGrio) December 14, 2017 If you are familiar with Omarosa, expect her to announce a book deal soon where she will no doubt reveal lots of tea about her time inside the Trump White House. However, no matter what she does she will still no longer be invited to the cookout.   Check out today’s Top Stories here: Everything You Want And Need To Know About LeToya Luckett’s Couture Wedding Look BEAUTIFUL NEWS: 16-Year-Old Black Student Accepted To Harvard

It’s downright shocking and sad that a movie about the devastating Flint, Michigan water crisis is here before the residents have clean and safe water available to them. LeeAnne Walters (Brandt), Melissa Mays (Ireland) and Nayyirah Shariff (Scott) join forces after discovering that the drinking water in Flint, Michigan is contaminated, resulting in a slew of devastating medical problems for their families. When their claims go unheeded, they band together to expose the wrongdoings committed by their reckless, bean-counting government officials whose carelessness caused irrevocable harm to the lives of its residents. At press time, there has been no word if some or all of the film’s proceeds will go to aiding the victims of the Flint water crisis. Hopefully doing so is in Lifetime’s plans because it would be completely self-serving to make a movie about this tragedy and not try to help at all financially. Issa Rae Joins Cast Of ‘The Hate U Give,’ Joining Amandla Stenberg & Regina Hall

See original here:

Issa Rae is clearly having one of the best years ever…and she definitely deserves it! Not only is her critically-acclaimed and ratings hit show Insecure killing it in its second season, but she has also graced magazine covers, walked high-profile red carpets and been honored for her inspiring talent and vision. Now, she can add movie star to her resume, as she was just cast in the highly-anticipated film The Hate U Give . . @IssaRae joins the cast of film adaptation of BLM-inspired novel, 'The Hate U Give,' led by Amandla Stenberg https://t.co/QjhYJV9lVK pic.twitter.com/fxy02YWXXm — Shadow And Act (@shadowandact) August 24, 2017 Based on the popular Black Lives Matter-inspired novel, The Hate U Give is the upcoming film adaptation that stars Amandla Stenberg and Regina Hall (as Stenberg’s character’s mother.) The casting process has been ongoing for months, with Common and The New Edition Story ’s breakout star Algee Smith recently signing on as well. Shadow and Act reports that Issa Rae has been cast in the drama as an activist who provides support to Stenberg’s character Starr. The synopsis of The Hate U Give reads: “The Hate U Give”  tells the story of 16-year-old Starr (portrayed by Stenberg), who navigates between the poverty-stricken slum she has grown up in and the upper-crust suburban prep school she attends. Her life is up-ended when she is an eyewitness to a police officer shooting her best friend, Khalil (Smith), who turns out to have been unarmed during the confrontation – but may or may not have been a drug dealer. As Starr finds herself even more torn between the two vastly different worlds she inhabits, she also has to contend with speaking her truth and, in the process, trying to stay alive herself. The novel was written by Angel Thomas, who was a student in Belhaven University’s creative writing program at the time she came up with the idea for  The Hate U Give  in 2011. It was originally written as a short story for her senior-year project, but it quickly expanded into a novel-length work. The title comes from a tattoo worn by Tupac Shakur (with the acronym T.H.U.G.)   Check out today’s Top Stories here: George Foreman Slams Kaepernick As Unpatriotic While Praising Trump’s Leadership White Supremacist Arrested For Participating In Violent Charlottesville Rally
