Jason Collins became the first openly homosexual athlete in major American team sports when he came out as gay in Sports Illustrated last month. Barkley said on The Dan Patrick Show that he has played with 3-4 gay men during his 16-year career, and those are just the players he knows about. The NBA Hall of Famer did not reveal the athletes in question. But after rescheduling her concert for Monday night, Rihanna further angered her patient fans by turning up to the stage three hours late – causing them to boo the singer as she performed. And with no opening act for the show at the TD Garden venue, concertgoers were quick to take to Twitter to voice their frustrations over the singer’s tardiness. One fan wrote: ‘Boston waited 2 months and then Rihanna was 3 hours late to her packed concert. She deserved to get booed! We were mad as hell.’ Another wrote: ‘@rihanna just showed up over three hours late in Boston for a make up show since she canceled a few months back due to sickness. Im over her.’ And while no reason was given for Rihanna’s lateness, many speculated that it was because the basketball fan was watching the Chicago Bulls take on Miami Heat in the opening contest of the NBA Eastern Conference semi-finals. One Twitter user wrote: ‘@rihanna 2-3 hrs late for your show in Boston, huh??! #disrespectful #noexcuse basketball was more important huh?? Thank you for making it extra special!! #DWT” Although some Boston fans blamed the NBA playoffs for Robyn’s tardiness, we think the premiere of her disastrous 777 Tour documentary is just as likely a cause. The Boston Celtics shocked the basketball world last night by keeping their season alive in New York, defeating the Knicks 92-86 in Game Five of the NBA Playoffs. But the real fireworks were saved until after the game, when Celtics benchwarmer Jordan Crawford got into it with Raymond Felton and Carmelo Anthony. I think it’s that smile I keep carrying… “I don’t know what happened, you know what I’m saying? I was on the bench the whole game, I don’t know why they was talking to me. “They gotta be upset, their [expletives] tightening up. Of course they upset.” Well, okay then. That clears it all right up! Game 6 will be played in Boston tomorrow night.

Via NY Daily News : The CBS Houston blogger who publicly ridiculed an NBA cheerleader for her weight has been fired, according to reports. CBS Sports Radio confirmed to News 9 in Oklahoma City that a digital content manager had been fired — but it wouldn’t say if it was Anna-Megan Raley, who’s accused of writing last week’s offensive post about Thunder Girl Kelsey Williams. The article, written under the supposed pen name Claire Crawford, asked readers if Williams is “too chunky” to cheer for the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team. Crawford pointed out “pudginess” around the blond bombshell’s waist and urged readers to weigh in. Commenters weren’t amused — most chastised the author for the rude post and called for her termination. The article, posted Monday morning after the Houston Rockets lost an NBA playoffs game to the Oklahoma City Thunder, was quickly deleted. CBS hasn’t confirmed whether Williams, whose Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts have been deleted, is indeed the author of the uncouth post.
