It’s about cotdamn time!!! Kim Kardashian And Kris Humphries May Settle Divorce Tomorrow According to TMZ reports : Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries could settle their never-ending divorce case as early as tomorrow … TMZ has learned. The fleeting lovebirds are both ordered to appear in court tomorrow for a settlement conference. The big hang-up is that Kris has been fighting for an annulment based on alleged fraud, and Kim has steadfastly refused to go down that road. She wants a clean, simple divorce. Sources close to Kris say there are various factors that are softening his position, including: – There’s an ironclad prenup, if the case goes to trial Kris will get NO money from Kim (although as we previously reported Kris has demanded $7 mil from her — good luck with that). – After all the depositions and legal docs flying back and forth, no evidence has surfaced showing Kim defrauded Kris — and that goes to the heart of his claim. – Kris is about to get nailed with monetary sanctions for being a no-show at the last hearing and, in the process, he’s pissed off the judge who would be presiding over the divorce trial. – If the case goes to trial and Kris loses, he could be in the hole for as much as a million bucks in attorney’s fees. Sources tell us each side has already racked up $300k in lawyer’s fees, and they’ll spend another $200k if the case goes to trial. We broke the story, if the case goes to trial and Kim wins, she’ll ask the judge to make Kris pay HER lawyer’s fees. Our sources say it’s by no means a done deal that the case is going to settle tomorrow, but as one source put it, “Kris is opening his eyes a little bit, and what he sees doesn’t look good.” We won’t count any chickens, but this divorce has been goin’ on WAY too long. It’s time for Kris to let it go already and get ready for the NBA playoffs. If it’s any consolation, most people already assume that the marriage was a sham in the first place. Image via WENN

The collegiate career of Brittney Griner came to an end over the weekend when Louisville shocked Baylor in the Elite 8. But not only does Robert Griffin III have Griner’s back , Mark Cuban has given the 6’8″ center a reason to turn her frown upside down: he may draft her to the NBA! “If she is the best on the board, I will take her,” the Mavericks owner said prior to last night’s game against the Lakers. “I’ve thought about it already. Would I do it?” “Right now, I’d lean toward yes, just to see if she can do it.” “You never know unless you give somebody a chance, and it’s not like the likelihood of any late-50s draft pick has a good chance of making it.” Cuban acknowledges that Griner would be a major draw in summer league games and says this isn’t some hollow gesture about women’s rights. The billionaire simply “wouldn’t be opposed to giving her the opportunity.” But, come on, could a female athlete – even one as dominant as Brittney Griner was in college – succeed in any way at the next level? Vote now: Could Brittney Griner play in the NBA? No way! It’s possible Yes… and average 0 points and 0 rebounds per game! View Poll »

Former NBA player Javaris Crittenton was indicted Tuesday on charges of murder and gang activity. He and his cousin were charged in a 12-count indictment. The Fulton County D.A. said Crittenton, 25, and Douglas Gamble are charged with the death of an Atlanta woman and the attempted murder of another man. Julian Jones was shot and killed in Atlanta while walking with a group of people in 2011. Authorities say that incident and a second shooting were gang-related. Officials say the shootings may have been retaliation after Javaris Crittenton was the victim of a robbery in which $50,000 worth of jewelry was stolen. Crittenton, a former Georgia Tech guard, was drafted by the Lakers in 2007 and has also played for the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies. He is best known, of course, for being suspended for 38 games during the 2009-10 season for pulling a gun on Gilbert Arenas in the Wizards’ locker room. While nursing an injury, Crittenton and Arenas apparently were involved in some sort of gambling dispute stemming from a card game on a team flight. Arenas brought four guns to the locker room and set them in front of Crittenton’s locker with a sign telling him to “PICK 1.” Crittenton then took out his own gun. The rest, as they say, is gang-related history, although Crittenton’s attorney, Brian Steel, maintains that his client is not guilty in the 2011 shooting: “Mr. Crittenton and I are looking forward to proceeding to a jury trial , where the jury will be able to hear and see all of the evidence in this case.” He predicted “a lawful, just, and proper verdict of not guilty.” A trial date has not been set.

All’s fair in marketing and basketball right? Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban Says He Would Draft Brittney Griner Via ESPN Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban would be willing to give Baylor women’s star Brittney Griner the opportunity to prove she could play in the NBA. Cuban said he would consider selecting Griner, a 6-foot-8 three-time All-American and Big 12 player of the year, in the second round of the NBA draft. If the Mavs don’t draft her, Cuban said he would have “no problem whatsoever” inviting Griner to try out for a spot on Dallas’ summer league team. “If she is the best on the board, I will take her,” Cuban said before the Mavs’ Tuesday night game against the Los Angeles Lakers. “I’ve thought about it. I’ve thought about it already. Would I do it? Right now, I’d lean toward yes, just to see if she can do it. You never know unless you give somebody a chance, and it’s not like the likelihood of any late-50s draft pick has a good chance of making it.” Griner dominated women’s college basketball with her size and athleticism, scoring 3,283 points and blocking 748 shots in her career. She also had 18 dunks, including 11 her senior season. Griner would love the opportunity. “I would hold my own! Lets do it.” she wrote on Twitter on Tuesday night in response to Cuban. A woman trying out for an NBA team is not unprecedented. Former UCLA star Ann Meyers tried out for the Indiana Pacers in 1979. Cuban said it’s difficult to evaluate whether Griner could play in the NBA because of the caliber of her competition, comparing it to scouting players from small schools. However, Cuban said he was absolutely serious about at least extending an invitation for Griner to try out this summer. “She’d still have to make the team,” Cuban said. “I’m not going to carry her just to carry her. I don’t think, anyways. But I certainly wouldn’t be opposed to giving her the opportunity.” Never one to ignore the bottom line of a business venture, when it was mentioned that Brittney’s presence in the league would be very, VERY profitable Cuban added: “It would, wouldn’t it? See how she could do?” Cuban said. “That’d sell out a few games.” Even in a social experiment, money is a still a major issue. Put your money where your mouth is Mark! Would you like to see Brittney given the opportunity to battle it out amongst the big boys in the NBA? Image via AP
