Kimmy Cakes…Esq? Kim Kardashian Vows To Become An Attorney, Plans To Take Bar Exam In 2022

Source: Mathew Imaging / Getty Kim Kardashian Plans To Take The Bar Exam And Become Lawyer Kim Kardashian has mastered reality TV, fashion, make-up, and attention-sloring, but now she says she’s ready to master the law. According to TMZ , the mother of four revealed to VOGUE that she’s made the decision to become a full-blown attorney just like her daddy, Robert Kardashian. We’re not talking about a purchased law degree here, Kim says that she will work as an intern at a San Francisco law firm for the next four years and take the bar exam in 2022. “I had to think long and hard about this,” she says, gleefully devouring chile con queso with chips now that her Vogue shoot is over. What inspired her to embark on something so overwhelmingly difficult and time-consuming—even as she also runs a multimillion-dollar beauty enterprise—was the combination of “seeing a really good result” with Alice Marie Johnson and feeling out of her depth. “The White House called me to advise to help change the system of clemency,” she says, “and I’m sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people and I just sat there, like, Oh, shit. I need to know more. I would say what I had to say, about the human side and why this is so unfair. But I had attorneys with me who could back that up with all the facts of the case. It’s never one person who gets things done; it’s always a collective of people, and I’ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society. I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more.” Van Jones was quoted in the cover story and professed that he’s seen Kim do things that would lead her to be a legit attorney… And then the unexpected happened. “Kim Kardashian,” says Jones, “wound up playing this indispensable role, and a lot of people have gotten furious with me, saying I’m stealing the credit from African American activists who have been working on this issue for decades. And first of all, I’m one of them. But I was in the Oval Office with Kim and Ivanka and Jared and the president, and I watched with my own eyes Trump confess to having tremendous fears of letting somebody out of prison and that person going and doing something terrible, and the impact that that would have on his political prospects. He was visibly nervous about it. And I watched Kim Kardashian unleash the most effective, emotionally intelligent intervention that I’ve ever seen in American politics.” What do you think? Would you hire Kim Kardashian to get you or a loved one out of a jam?

The infuriating part is that you KNOW these same people voted for Donald Trump who is a card-carrying racist and has been accused of sexual assault by NUMEROUS women. It wasn’t a lose-lose. It was an opportunity to tell those stale soup cookies to STFU and mind their white a$$ business. Source: John Keeble / Getty What is going on with these brands? Just after Gucci and Moncler were blasted for racist designs that very blatantly showcased blackface, Burberry is also being accused of racism and insensitivity. After featuring a hoodie with a noose around the neck during their autumn/winter 2019 fashion show on Sunday, Burberry CEO Marc Gobbetti is apologizing. “We are deeply sorry for the distress caused by one of the products that featured in our A/W 2019 runway collection Tempest,” Gobbetti said in the statement provided to CNN . “Though the design was inspired by the marine theme that ran throughout the collection, it was insensitive and we made a mistake.” Liz Kennedy—a model who was a part of the show— came for Burberry hard over the weekend. “Suicide is not fashion. It is not glamorous nor edgy and since this show is dedicated to the youth expressing their voice, here I go. Riccardo Tisci and everyone at Burberry it is beyond me how you could let a look resembling a noose hanging from a neck out on the runway” she wrote, adding “How could anyone overlook this and think it would be okay to do this especially in a line dedicated to young girls and youth. The impressionable youth. Not to mention the rising suicide rates world wide. Let’s not forget about the horrifying history of lynching either. There are hundreds of ways to tie a rope and they chose to tie it like a noose completely ignoring the fact that it was hanging around a neck. A massive brand like Burberry who is typically considered commercial and classy should not have overlooked such an obvious resemblance.” See her full message, along with a photo of the hoodie, below. I left my fitting extremely triggered after seeing this look (even though I did not wear it myself). Feeling as though I was right back where I was when I was going through an experience with suicide in my family. Also to add in they briefly hung one from the ceiling (trying to figure out the knot) and were laughing about it in the dressing room. I had asked to speak to someone about it but the only thing I was told to do was to write a letter. I had a brief conversation with someone but all that it entailed was “it’s fashion. Nobody cares about what’s going on in your personal life so just keep it to yourself” well I’m sorry but this is an issue bigger than myself. The issue is not about me being upset, there is a bigger picture here of what fashion turns a blind eye to or does to gain publicity. A look so ignorantly put together and a situation so poorly handled. I am ashamed to have been apart of the show. #burberry. I did not post this to disrespect the designer or the brand but to simply express an issue I feel very passionate about. A post shared by (@liz.kennedy_) on Feb 17, 2019 at 9:51am PST Photo: Getty

So Sad: NYC Woman Blogs Suicide Note Before Apparently Killing Herself

Source: Geber86 / Getty NYC Woman Blogs Her Suicide Note A Manhattan woman blogged her own suicide note on her personal web site before she apparently hung herself in her West Village apartment, according to a Daily News report Thursday. Tara Condell, 27, was found dead by cops after not reporting to work. She was reportedly found hanging from the closet door of her W. 10th St. apartment. In a note on her web site titled “I Hate the Word ‘Bye,’ But See You Later Maybe?” Condell said she was “plain old-fashioned tired of feeling tired. I have written this note several times in my head for over a decade, and this one finally feels right. No edits, no overthinking,” she wrote. Condell’s bio describes her as a registered dietitian and nutritionist specializing in general nutrition, weight management, gastrointestinal disease, and geriatric health. From her Instagram page, Tara showed followers how much she loved to travel and try different foods. So sad. In the note, she details her reasoning behind her decision, asking her friends and family not to blame herself. Scroll down to read Tara’s final letter to her family and friends at your own discretion. Tara blogged the following goodbye note on her website. I Hate The Word “Bye”, But See You Later Maybe? I have written this note several times in my head for over a decade, and this one finally feels right. No edits, no overthinking. I have accepted hope is nothing more than delayed disappointment, and I am just plain old-fashioned tired of feeling tired. I realize I am undeserving of thinking this way because I truly have a great life on paper. I’m fortunate to eat meals most only imagine. I often travel freely without restriction. I live alone in the second greatest American city (San Francisco, you’ll always have my heart). However, all these facets seem trivial to me. It’s the ultimate first world problem, I get it. I often felt detached while in a room full of my favorite people; I also felt absolutely nothing during what should have been the happiest and darkest times in my life. No single conversation or situation has led me to make this decision, so at what point do you metaphorically pull the trigger? I’m going to miss doing NYT crosswords (I was getting really good). That one charcuterie board with taleggio AND ‘nduja. Anything Sichuan ma la, but that goes without saying. A perfect plate of carbonara (no cream!). Real true authentic street tacos. Cal-Italian cuisine. Hunan Bistro’s fried rice. The pork belly and grape mini from State Bird Provisions circa 2013. Popeye’s of course. Bambas too. I’m also going to miss unexpected hugs. Al Green’s Simply Beautiful. Cherries in July. Tracing a sleeping eyebrow. Smoking cigarettes. The Golden Gate Bridge at sunset. That first sip of iced cold brew in sticky August. Making eye contact with people walking down the street. When songs feel like they’re speaking to your soul. Jeopardy. Saying I love you. Late night junk food binges. Shooting the shit. And especially the no-destination-in-sight long walks. No GoFundMes, no funeral, no tributes, no doing-too-much please. All I ask now is for you to have one delicious (I mean a really really great) meal in my honor and let me go, no exceptions. It’s selfishly time for me to be happy and I know you can get down with that. Please try to remember me as a whole human you shared memories with and not just my final act. This is not your fault. It’s not exactly easy for me either, I’m here for you. I love you. I always have and I always will, I promise. Shikata ga’nai. I’m coming home, Dad. Make some room up on that cloud and turn the Motown up. I’m really sorry mama. Always, TLC

On Oct. 3, the sheriff’s department reported that an officer confronted Chinedu Okobi running in and out of traffic in the city of Millbrae. He allegedly assaulted a deputy who called for backup.
