My name is Sam, I’m 14 years old from California and on…

View post:

My name is Sam, I’m 14 years old from California and on October 2nd, 2012 my life changed. I met Justin, Kenny, Pattie, Ryan, Fredo, and Allison. I have been a belieber since 2008 and I honestly never had hope in meeting Justin. Ever. I honestly love him so much it hurts and what hurt even more was me thinking that I could never meet him. I was wrong, my best friend Elisabeth Tracy changed my life forever. She always believed in me, she knows and knew how much Justin means to me and how much he has changed my life, he saved me. It was my 13th birthday and everyone at my party was gossiping around at how I was gonna freak out at what she had got me. Finally it came to presents and I opened hers last. She had got me tickets to see Justin on October 2nd! Not only that, but they were on the floor! I cried so hard I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t believe it. A couple months before the show I was in English class, and I got a text from her saying, “SAM, OCTBER SECOND YOU ARE MEETING JUSTIN.” I didn’t know if she was kidding, I was shaking. She told me she got me meet and greets because she knew how much Justin meant to me and it meant a lot to her that I met him and was happy. I fell out of my chair to the floor and started balling. October 2nd finally arrived and it was the best day of my life. Pattie was talking to me and I thanked her for bringing my husband into this world. When I was up next to meet Justin, I started crying and I felt someone hugging me. I turn around and it was Kenny! Finally I entered the black curtain and my whole world was in front of me. I literally fell to the floor and Justin had the biggest smile on his face and he welcomed me into his arms while saying, “Aww, come here sweetheart.” I hugged him, told him I loved him and thanked him for saving me. He told me he loved me too and said, “Thank you for being here for me.” We took the picture and I said I loved him one last time and I had to leave. It was truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. Then it was time for the concert and I was 4th row from the stage! Next thing I know, Ryan Good was sitting behind me! He’s hilarious! Carly started singing and Fredo came up to me and was singing ‘Call Me Maybe’ to me! When Justin came on, I started crying again, it was beautiful. During OLLG, he came to my side of the stage, looked right at me and winked. I was dead! I will never forget this day and I truly do believe in all my dreams now. I want everyone to know that dreams do come true, just seriously never say never. That is the greatest lesson I ever learned from the greatest person. I love you Justin. -Sam See original here: My name is Sam, I’m 14 years old from California and on…

The United States Of Chubby Lumpkins: Mexico Surpasses America As The Fattest Country In The World

Mexico Surpasses America As The Fattest Country In The World American chubby lumpkins, rejoice! Mexico has now officially been crowned the fattest country in the world, taking the crown from the United States, which held the number one spot on the list just last year. via THG Stand up and celebrate, America. Go ahead, you can do it. A new survey proves as much: American is no longer the fattest country in the world! According to a new report from the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization, Mexico has taken over the top spot as the world’s fattest developed nation, bumping the U.S. to second. The results are based on percentage of residents 20 years of age and over whose BMI (Body Mass Index) is at least 30. Nearly one-third of Mexicans fall under this classification, while United States citizens are at 31.8 percent. Syria (31.6 percent) is on our plump tail in third, while Venezuela and Libya are tied for fourth at 30.8 percent. Abelardo Avila, a physician with Mexico’s National Nutrition Institute, says obesity is a “serious epidemic” in his nation and cites malnourishment among the poor as a leading cause of this poor showing. The report states that around 12 percent of the world’s developed population is overweight. Meh. Number two isn’t anything to celebrate either. We still have some work to do, folks! Shutterstock

Elsewhere In The World: Venezuela Considering Ban On Baby Bottles To Force Breastfeeding, Improving Baby Health And Increasing Bond Between Mother And Child

Got milk? Venezuela is considering going to great lengths to get new moms to breast feed . Via NYDailyNews reports : Venezuela’s Congress will discuss legislation next week that would prohibit bottle feeding of infants to try to encourage breast feeding and reduce the use of baby formula, said a lawmaker of the ruling Socialist Party. Legislator Odalis Monzon said the proposal would “prohibit all types of baby bottles” as a way to improve children’s health. “We want to increase the love (between mother and child) because this has been lost as a result of these transnational companies selling formula,” Monzon said on state television on Thursday. She said the Law for the Promotion and Support for Breast-Feeding, passed in 2007, did not establish any sanctions for using formula. However, she did not say what the sanctions might be if the proposed change to prohibit bottle feeding is passed by Congress, where the Socialist Party has a majority. Monzon said, however, that exceptions would be allowed, such as in the case of the death of a mother, or for women with limited breast milk production, as determined by the health ministry. She did not respond to phone calls seeking details, including how long babies would be breast-fed. Such legislation would likely raise the ire of opposition sympathizers who say the government of the late President Hugo Chavez excessively extended the reach of the state into the lives of private citizens. “People are free to feed their children as they see fit,” said Ingrid Rivero, a 27-year-old mother in Caracas. “My daughter stopped breast feeding after seven months. What can I do? Force her?” Chavez ally Nicolas Maduro, who was elected in April after his mentor’s death from cancer, has vowed to extend his predecessor’s 14-year self-styled revolution that enjoyed strong support among the country’s poor. These seems a little extreme. Can’t they just tax the baby bottles or something to promote breastfeeding? Shutterstock

Hugo Chavez: Battling For Life!

Venezuela’s V.P. denied rumors Thursday that Hugo Chavez has died, but didn’t paint a pretty picture of the nation’s president’s health, either. Quite specifically, Nicolas Maduro said Chavez, who is currently in Cuba, “is battling for his health, for his life, and we’re accompanying him.” Besides implying Chavez is still alive, he implied a lack of progress. In late 2012, Maduro said Chavez “is fighting a great battle … for his life, for his health.” Two months of battling for life is not encouraging, even if a new poll says nearly 60 percent of Venezuelans believe Chavez will recover and return to power. Maduro’s latest repetitive report about Chavez’s health came less than 24 hours after CNN Chile falsely reported that the Venezuelan leader died. The network attributed the news to Panamanian diplomat Guillermo Cochez who said, “I challenge the Venezuelan government to prove me wrong.” It appears the Venezuelan government heard the challenge. Nevertheless, Chavez has reportedly been breathing through a tube since a serious respiratory infection followed four cancer surgeries last year. He hasn’t been seen publicly since December 11. The man is clearly in poor health, even if it’s unclear how poor. If he’s not facing death yet , the 58-year-old Chavez is certainly knocking on its door.
