Rapper Nelly Visits Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Rapper Nelly stepped on the scene to sit down with late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and let us know what in the world he’s been up to lately …..like watching Bridezillas. Nelly has been keeping a low profile lately, but he returned to the spotlight on Tuesday night. The St. Louis rapper paid a visit to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to promote his role as a mentor on The CW’s music competition series “The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep.” He reminisced on his job as a UPS worker and admitted to watching reality shows including “Bridezillas” and “Duck Dynasty.” Earlier this month, Nelly released his Chris Brown-assisted single “Marry Go Round” and has been in the studio finishing his new album M.O., due later this year. “I represent my family, my city, myself at all times, so M.O. explains it all,” he said of the title. To cap things off, he hit the stage for an impromptu performance of “Hot in Herre,” with some help from The Roots and Jimmy Fallon. Hmmm… watching Bridezillas and wedding talk, huh? Red Tails executive producer George Lucas had nothing but good intentions by getting this movie made, but he admits that he has unintentionally put Black filmmakers in jeopardy. He financed Red Tails with his own money because he could not get a studio in Hollywood to pick it up. Red Tails cost $58 million to make, more than most other Black films to produce, and if it doesn’t succeed financially, Lucas recognizes that studios will be less likely to green light more movies by Black filmmakers for Black audiences.
