Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Cardi B Served Lawsuit On The Set Of Her Netflix Series Cardi B ended up getting served with a lawsuit as she walked onto the set of her new Netflix series on Wednesday night, according to reports from The Blast . In the video captured by The Blast on Wednesday, Cardi is seen walking onto the set of Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow– a music competition series where she will serve as one of the judges. On her way walking onto the set, things were all lighthearted as she joked with photographers, but as she approaches the door to the venue, a process server is seen dropping the papers in front Cardi. She ultimately ignored them. According to the site, the legal docs stem a 2018 Met Gala incident that resulted in one man getting assaulted. A then-pregnant Cardi and husband Offset were at The Mark Hotel in New York City, when the alleged victim, Giovanni Arnold, reportedly tried to get an autograph. Arnold alleges that instead of getting an autograph, he was verbally assaulted by the couple before being physically attacked by members of their security team. He filed a lawsuit against both Cardi and Offset days later, but apparently, it has been a bit of a process to serve them. According to reports from The Blast , the alleged victim waited to serve Cardi since she was seven months pregnant at the time and, “out of respect and consideration for her and her baby’s wellbeing…I chose not to immediately serve” them. The six-episode series finds Killer Kill from Adamsville trying to introduce people to “new thoughts and concepts.” Considering this is Killer Mike, that seems to include asking Creflo Dollar to lead his new faith, getting Crips to sell their own branded soda and devotedly spending money only in the Black community—which makes paying an Asian stripper an issue. Via seemingly outrageous and often hilarious situations, Killer Mike aims to smack you in the head and flip your perception of America. We’re sold. Netflix’s hit film Bird Box took viewers and Twitter by storm and spawned hilarious memes . Unfortunately, it also inspired the Bird Box Challenge, in which people film themselves blindfolded. This is so dangerous that Netflix has put out a PSA begging people to not deliberately blind themselves. Bird Box was a hit on Netflix during this holiday season. It was thrilling and compelling and Sandra Bullock is, as always, an inspired casting choice. Unfortunately, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing, as evidenced by people participating in the “Bird Box Challenge.” In the film, the characters must wear blindfolds most of the time in order to avoid being driven to kill themselves by violent apparitions. Some Netflix viewers with too much time on their hands decided to “challenge” themselves to navigate while blindfolded. Whether it’s in their homes or outdoors, the results tend to be either boring, messy, or dangerous. Putting on a blindfold does not magically transform you into the titular character of Daredevil . In fact, outside of the bedroom, it usually just leads to injuries. This is so bad that Netflix themselves have stepped in on social media. In a tweet on Wednesday, Netflix implored their followers to let this trend die as quickly as it sprang into being. “Can’t believe I have to say this,” the tweet begins. “But: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE.” “We don’t know how this started,” Netflix says. “And we appreciate the love,” “But Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019,” the tweet reads. Netflix concludes: “and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.” That’s a pretty good wish. Unlike actual memes, which involve photos and videos and are usually harmless, challenge culture can be dangerous. Popular on video-sharing sites and especially on YouTube, people vie for social media clout by emulating others. The pressure to make your video not only watchable but sensational — in the hopes of going viral — can be dangerous. Participants — especially teens, but also grown-ass adults — can and do endanger themselves in their desperate effort for clicks. Viral fame can transform someone’s life, so they’re willing to risk it all. But you know what else can change your life? A life-altering injury . It’s right there in the name. This of course brings to mind a challenge that was passed around in January of 2018. Harmless memes shared on social media about forbidden snacks — household items that people had resisted eating as children — spawned a challenge. The Tide Pod Challenge was mostly an inflated joke, as people would edit videos to make it appear that they ate laundry detergent. There were people who, perhaps not realizing that the videos were edited, were not in on the joke. A few people tried to earn social media clout by actually putting tide pods into their mouths. Though only a handful of people genuinely participated, we would remind members of the TGH Nation: please do not ingest bleach. Just as you would not ingest dish soap in the hopes of racking up YouTube views, please do not participate in the Bird Box challenge. We don’t know how many people are actually doing it and how many are filming themselves acting out rehearsed blunders. Regardless, actually depriving yourself of eyesight for fun is just a recipe for disaster. Head injuries are no joke. And quite frankly, neither is a stubbed toe. Source: Netflix / Netflix Sandra Bullock Reveals What The “Bird Box” Creatures REALLY Looked Like Chances are you’re one of the 45,037,125 Netflix users (or one of the millions of friends and fam using someone else’s account) that caught Bird Box over the last week , chances are you’ve at least had a passing curiosity about what the entity that had the world on tilt would look like if you dared remove your blindfold and take a peek. Welp, now we have an answer. A deleted scene from the hit flick was set to show the creature in question over Sandra Bullock’s shoulder…but it didn’t make the film’s final cut. Screenwriter Eric Heisserer told Bloody Disgusting that producers pushed him to include a scene that showed the creature to the audience, though that was NOT the original plan. “There was a time when one of the producers was like, ‘No, you have to see something at some point’ and forced me to write essentially a nightmare sequence where Malorie experiences one in that house.” But according to lead actress Sandra Bullock …the end effect was more comical than chilling: “It was a green man with a horrific baby face. It was snake-like, and I was like, ‘I don’t want to see it when it first happens. Just bring it into the room. We’ll shoot the scene.’ I turn and he’s like this [growling at me.] It’s making me laugh. It was just a long fat baby.” A fat green baby-man. Is that what you were picturing? Either way, after dedicating hours of shoot time to this dud of a scene, director Susanne Bier decided to scrap it, noting that not only was it unintentionally hilarious, but it turned the movie into something else entirely. Besides, the point was that everyone saw something personal that drove them to compulsively end it all. “It so easily becomes funny. We actually shot that and spent a lot of energy on, but every time I saw it, I was like this is not going to be tense. It’s just going to be funny. At first, Sandy was like, ‘I don’t want to see it’ because she thought it was scary. Then it was like, ‘Don’t show it to me because [I’ll laugh].’ Every time I did it, I was like, ‘Sh*t, that’s a different film.’” We think it worked much better as it was. What do you think?
