Trista and Ryan Sutter to Renew Vows in January ABC Special

Looking to celebrate 10 years of marital bliss with Bachelor nation, Trista Sutter and Ryan Sutter will renew their vows in an ABC special next month. Perhaps that’s for the best … from what The Bachelor spoilers are now indicating, this may be the happiest moment of the 2014 season. We’ll leave it at that. Trista Sutter on The Bachelorette Appearing on Good Morning America to plug her new book Happily Ever After, the original Bachelorette announced her plans to re-marry Ryan on TV. The occasion will be part of “Juan-uary,” the network’s series of four different specials to hype current fan favorite Juan Pablo Galavis ‘ upcoming season. Asked by Robin Roberts what makes her relationship with Ryan work (unlike so many other Bachelor couplings), Trista chalked it up to “perfect” timing. “I think if you compare The Bachelor and Bachelorette to real world,” she said. “It’s probably not that different in that how many relationships do you go through before you find the one that you want to spend the rest of your life with.” “But we just had all the components … trust, honesty respect, love, commitment, friendship, humor … you know, all of those things wrapped into one.” Trista Sutter to Renew Vows The 41-year-old reality star and her husband reside in Colorado with their two young children, 6-year-old son Max and 4-year-old daughter Blakesley. They have really embraced the “Colorado lifestyle,” doing all the active things Coloradans typically do while enjoying time together as a family. “Ryan’s still a firefighter at the Vail Fire Department and I’ve been busy with this [book] project for the past few years. But really, I’m a stay-at-home and work mom.” “Really, life just revolves around the kids right now,” she added. Trista said her tome is not an autobiography, but rather collects stories from her life and others’, as well as tips on being a good parent, friend and co-worker. Also getting married next month on ABC, albeit for the first time: Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici , last year’s Bachelor winners. Congrats to all!

The Nation Action Network Calls For A Boycott For Confederate Flag Yeezus Merchandise Via EurWeb The National Action Network of Los Angeles, a leading national civil rights group founded by Rev. Al Sharpton calls for a national boycott of hip hop superstar Kanye West new clothing line featuring the confederate flag symbol. Why? “Kanye West already has several pieces of merchandise from his Yeezus tour that are emblazoned with the controversial Southern Cross at his tour store in Los Angeles. Our organization is determined to shut down that and any other store that decides to sell this merchandise. For African-Americans the confederate flag is symbolic of the hurt and pain of slavery in the South and the legacy it has left for those still living under those ideologies. When Kanye embraces and adorns this confederate flag, He also embraces the ignorance and racism that goes along with it.” I challenge Kanye West to create a clothing line of merchandise featuring swastikas if he’s sincere about his beliefs . But we all know Kanye doesn’t have the courage to do that. The Jewish community would run him out of town if he did and so should the African American community,” stated Najee Ali political director of the Los Angeles National Action Network. “Kanye West selling jackets with the Confederate flag on them is a disgrace and embarrassment. many of our ancestors were brutalized, kidnapped , raped, and murdered during slavery under this flag. Its inexcusable for West to be promoting and merchandising this flag. Were determined to boycott and shut down any other stores that attempt to sell this merchandise, stated Rev K.W. Tulloss President National Action Network Los Angeles. The Rev. Al Sharpton: “The Confederate flag symbolizes dehumanization, injustice and pain. It is a stark reminder of an era in our history that was defined by the abhorrent practice of slavery. Government Opening Free Gas Stations in Poor Neighborhoods: Real or Fake?

Reports of the government opening free gas stations in poor areas are circulating around social media this morning, but appear to be a clever, satirical farce. As the battle over Obamacare rages on, the administration is using a little known provision law to roll out a national free gas plan, The Daily Currant reports . Allegedly, the White House using authority under the Affordable Care Act to “improve transportation routes to hospitals” to dispense gas free of cost. The $2 billion-a-year program aims to distribute 40 million gallons of free gasoline each year through 70 new gas stations constructed in major metro areas. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) will be responsible for operating the network, whose first station opened yesterday in Detroit. Supposedly. This is all but certainly an Onion -style farce. With quotes! Explains Dori Salcido, assistant DHS secretary for public affairs: “How are people supposed to get to the doctor’s office if they don’t have gas in the car? Health insurance is worthless if you can’t make your appointment.” “This is not something we’re publicizing a lot, for obvious reasons … [but is] just another fine example of government stepping in and solving big problems.” Although some developing oil-rich nations like Venezuela and Indonesia subsidize gas for the poor, the practice has never before been tried in the U.S. Not everyone is a fan of the bogus program, predictably. “So basically I’m punished for not living in the ghetto,” says Colin Blair, a resident of affluent Detroit suburb Farmington Hills. “I have three kids and a mortgage.” “Life isn’t cheap. I could use some free gasoline too.” Hilariously, “The stations have Obama campaign logo on them and giant photos of the president,” he says. “He’s trying to buy votes ahead of the midterm elections.” “I’ve never been more scared for our democracy.”

Realest ninja alive ! Man Survives After Falling Off A Cliff While Fighting A Bear Via TIME reports: In the battle of man vs. bear, man has triumphed–well, sort of. The Guardian reports that Yusuf Alchagirov, an 80-year-old Russian shepherd, was minding his own business in a raspberry field when he was attacked by a large, hungry bear. Rather than let the predator get the best of him, Alchagirov counter-attacked. Despite his age, the octogenarian managed to knock the bear off-balance with a flurry of kicks and headbutts. Unfortunately, this beating failed to phase the furry attacker and the bear responded by knocking the shepherd off a nearby cliff. According to the Guardian, Alchagirov was hospitalised with “bruises, bite wounds and four broken ribs,” but avoided a potentially lethal mauling. Alchagirov may have survived his encounter, but experts generally advise against fighting back during a bear attack. If you are approached aggressively by a brown bear — a common species of bear in the region — Mother Nature Network suggests playing dead as the bear is ”likely trying to neutralize you as a threat.” However, Alchagirov is positive that it’s his aggressiveness that saved his life. ”I got off easy. Al Sharpton threatened Saturday to boycott luxury retailer Barneys if the department store doesn’t respond adequately to allegations by black shoppers that they were racially profiled there . “We’ve gone from stop and frisk to shop and frisk, and we are not going to take it,” the black civil rights leader said. “We are not going to live in a town where our money is considered suspect and everyone else’s money is respected.” Two black Barneys New York customers, Trayon Christian and Kayla Phillips, said this week they were detained by police after making expensive purchases. Christian sued Barneys, saying he was accused of fraud after using his debit card to buy a $349 Ferragamo belt in April. Barneys said Thursday that it had retained a civil rights expert to help review its procedures. The CEO of Barneys, Mark Lee, offered his “sincere regret and deepest apologies.” Kirsten John Foy, an official with Sharpton’s National Action Network, said he would meet with Barneys officials on Tuesday to discuss the racial profiling allegations. “The only theft that took place at Barneys was Barneys’ stealing the dignity of these young people,” said Foy, who joined Sharpton at his weekly rally at the organization’s Harlem headquarters. Sharpton said black New Yorkers should put shopping at Barneys “on hold” if the retailer’s response is inadequate. Macy’s was also hit with a lawsuit alleging racial profiling this week. A black actor on the HBO drama series “Treme” said Friday he was stopped by police because of his race while shopping at Macy’s flagship Manhattan store. Robert Brown said in his lawsuit that he was detained by police June 8 after employees contacted authorities about possible credit card fraud. No Thanks: NBC Cancels Blair Underwood’s Disabled Black Cop Drama “Ironside” After Only 3 Episodes

Poor thang! Blair Underwood’s Ironside Canceled Via EurWeb reports: *NBC has decided to pull its remake of “Ironside” starring Blair Underwood after just three episodes. Despite solid star power from Underwood, the freshman drama opened to an underwhelming 1.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 6.8 million viewers the first Wednesday after premiere week. It slid its second outing, averaging a 1.1 in the demo. The final “Ironside” will air Oct. 23. In its place, the network will air “Dateline” on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. through November and December as well as a roster of upcoming holiday specials. “Chicago Fire” spinoff “Chicago PD” will take over the Wednesday at 10 p.m. slot starting Jan. 8.
