After Chris Brown’s explosive blowup at “Good Morning America” last week, it’s reported that ABC wants to book him in a sit down interview with none other than ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Wow. The network hopes that they will be able to pull this off since the restraining order Rihanna had against Chris was lifted a few months ago. According to Popeater.com , a source close to ABC News told E! that they wanted to “milk this event for everything that its worth.. it’s all about the ratings.” Another rumor is that the network is thinking about offering Chris a reality show even though E! shut that rumor down right at the source, saying “No, that would never happen.” What is more likely to happen according to sources close to the network is having Chris and Rihanna sit down and talk for the first time, on television. E! says that if ABC is able to pull this interview off, Robin Roberts (the same women who Chris sat down with during his Good Morning America interview before he went off in the dressing room), will be the woman orchestrating the television special. When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. When Chris Brown loses his mind and explodes on Good Morning America … welcome him back to talk about it? ABC was quite forgiving after the singer’s tirade this week, keeping his Dancing With the Stars visit on the docket and even inviting him back to GMA . The reason isn’t that they want it to go away, reports a source. They want to ” milk this event for everything its worth” news standards be damned. In the wake of his Good Morning America trip, during which Robin Roberts’ questions about Rihanna set him off, ABC wonders if there’s more potential here. There have even been internal discussions about “orchestrating Chris Brown talking to Rihanna for the first time.” This is considered “a top get at the network.” Guess that’s not a huge shock, as all things Brown have electrified the media so much. As for who the interviewer would be if this came to fruition? Easy call! “It would be Robin [Roberts],” the insider said matter-of-factly. She’s been on a roll lately, with Tiger Woods, Billy Ray and Chris all stopping by for memorable interviews (memorable in very different ways, but still). “It’s all about the ratings,” replied my ABC source. “At all other costs.” As for whether the stars themselves would go for this stunt, neither has commented. Chris doesn’t even have a rep TO comment for him at the moment! But seriously. It’s hard to see him rushing back to ABC. Chris felt so exploited that he SMASHED A WINDOW WITH A CHAIR in a fit of rage, after all. And from Rihanna’s perspective, what just happened must hit close to home. Both seeing Chris sweaty and shirtless and what he did to that window. Jeepers.

ABC appears willing to forgive and forget when it comes to Chris Brown. Despite Brown’s meltdown on Good Morning America this week, the network said it will not be filing a criminal complaint against the singer, who is still set to perform on the popular Dancing With the Stars next Tuesday night. Both are huge breaks for a guy whose career needs all he can get. Should DWTS pull the plug on this dude? Although he kept it together on-air, Brown stormed off the GMA set after anchor Robin Roberts asked him questions about his 2009 assault against Rihanna. Despite okaying this beforehand, he then reportedly retreated to his dressing room where he broke a window with a chair, tore his shirt off and peaced out. While he escaped without any legal or direct career ramifications, some fans and rival network execs are not happy with ABC’s decision to let him do DWTS . “This sort of behavior is not acceptable from anyone no matter how talented or famous they might be,” a well-placed network executive told PopEater. ” Dancing With the Stars is one of the biggest shows on TV, and if they allow him to promote his music on it, he should definitely be asked to apologize.” Some fans are even contacting ABC directly via email to thwart his performance, but for now, it looks like he’ll perform on the results show as planned. Whether he does or not, this can’t be the press Chris hoped for when his new album, F.A.M.E. , dropped this week. Guy really needs to pull it together. As we said earlier, if Chris really wants to turn things around, he should look no further for inspiration than another fallen, recovering star: Michael Vick .

Brit’s site confirms “Ellen” appearances, MTV takeover day and more leading up to Femme Fatale release. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Jive Britney Spears has become a very busy lady in the lead-up to the March 29 release of Femme Fatale. After rumors came out on Wednesday that Spears would make several appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the week her album drops, a press release posted on her website now confirms that and a few other engagements on Brit’s calendar. The release also confirms that Spears will pre-tape her “Good Morning America” appearance on March 27, two days before it airs on the show. MTV will dedicate March 29 to the femme fatale herself for what is being dubbed a “Britney take-over” day on the network. Additionally, Spears will make an appearance on the Kids’ Choice Awards on April 2, though there is no word on whether she’ll be performing, presenting or just getting slimed. Spears is currently rehearsing for her appearances and working on the video for her second single, “Till the World Ends.” It will be directed by Norwegian director and photographer Ray Kay, who has worked with Lady Gaga, the Backstreet Boys, Beyonc
