The release also confirms that Spears will pre-tape her “Good Morning America” appearance on March 27, two days before it airs on the show. Good Charlotte’s ‘Last Night’ Video A Tribute To ‘Family Double Dare’

The band takes part in some of the classic Nickelodeon game show’s goofy challenges in the new clip. By Kyle Anderson Good Charlotte Photo: Funny Or Die There’s an awful lot of Nickelodeon-related nostalgia in the air at the moment. Not only has the network announced that it will begin airing a late-night block of ’90s classics like “Clarissa Explains It All” and “The Adventures of Pete & Pete,”but the men of have resurrected the channel’s “Family Double Dare” in a video for their new song “Last Night,” a clip that premiered on FunnyOrDie.com on Monday. The video features a lovingly reconstructed version of the classic game show’s set and finds the bandmembers participating in a number of the program’s extra sloppy challenges — including a handful of entries on the famous game-ending obstacle course. Also appearing in the clip, in a starring role, is former “Family Double Dare” host Marc Summers, who oversees the proceedings and even lip-synchs some of the song. “This video takes place in the ’90s and we were all ’90s kids, so we know it pretty well,” Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden said in a statement. “This was one of our favorite shows growing up. I always wanted to go on ‘Family Double Dare,’ and now my dreams get to come true.” The video also features a number of very specific winks and nods to the original show, including the “Pie Cam” and a shout-out to Space Camp (which was often involved in the grand prize). Good Charlotte are currently on tour in support of their fifth album, Cardiology . They’ll wrap up their road trip on March 27 in Anaheim, California. What do you think of Good Charlotte’s new video? Does anyone over at MSNBC check the facts on stories before they are allowed on-air? An internet scam from 1999 resurfaced over the weekend. It said that men can get healthier just by staring at women’s breasts for a few minutes a day. On Tuesday MSNBC’s Willie Geist completely debunked it. One day later, in the middle of news programming on the network, Contessa Brewer reported the story as legitimate…. ‘American Idol’ Top 13 Performance Show Will Be Pretaped

Producer Nigel Lythgoe says pretaping will continue for several weeks as new judges and director get up to speed. By Gil Kaufman Casey Abrams Photo: FOX If you were looking forward to watching the “American Idol” top 13 perform live for the first time on Wednesday night (March 9), well, you’ll have to just keep waiting. The singers pretaped their performances on Tuesday night after the Fox network confirmed that the show is not quite ready to go fully live. A network representative told People magazine, “we have pretaped shows at this stage of the competition before … although it’s rare.” Among the reasons the network cited for pretaping the show is to make sure that all 13 contestants’ performances make it into the two-hour broadcast. It is only the second time in “Idol” history that there have been 13 finalists, and even with 12 singers in the past, producers have sometimes struggled to get all the songs in without running over . Because some “Idol” fans are conspiracy-minded by nature, executive producer Nigel Lythgoe launched a preemptive strike on Twitter on Sunday to explain and defend the decision to keep the performances taped for the next few weeks. “We are pretaping for 2 weeks as we have a new Director & new judges. It has nothing to do with manipulation you morons.” That comment, of course, led to some spirited back-and-forth between Lythgoe and said “morons,” some of whom needled Lythgoe about the alleged manipulation. “I love you all getting riled up. The Tweet was directed at the MORONS who said we are pretaping to manipulate the show. Not the TRUE fans!” wrote Lythgoe, who eventually threw his hands up and added, “Sorry I can’t play anymore I have to go to work. There’s manipulating to be done. xox.” He updated the situation on Tuesday, lamenting , “It’s been a tough day trying to get the sound right. With a mix of live band, Jimmy Iovine’s amazing producer’s tracks and live vocals.” He also revealed later in the day that the top 13 had recorded vocals for full-length tracks, which he believes will be available on iTunes after the show airs on Wednesday. Thursday night’s elimination show will air live. Don’t miss “Idol Party Live” at 10 p.m. Thursday on MTV.com, following the “American Idol” results show, for analysis, celebrity guests and even some karaoke — get in the conversation by tweeting with the hashtag #idolparty ! Update: The Controversial Anti-Abortion Billboard In SoHo Is No More… Not Really Because WE Were Mad

The company that approved and put up ThatsAbortion.com’s SoHo billboard has decided to avoid more controversy by pulling the billboard down. We’re just not so sure they did it because they got why people were upset. Lamar Advertising has pulled down a controversial anti-abortion billboard that hung over a building in SoHo, the company confirmed to MyFoxNY.com. The ad read “The most dangerous place for an African American is in the womb”and featured a photo of a young African-American girl behind the text and a link to a website for a group called Life Always . The girl seen in the photo is Anissa Fraser, 6. On Wednesday, her mother, Tricia Fraser, said she was shocked that her daughter’s image was used in the billboard “I would never endorse something like that,” Fraser said Wednesday. “Especially with my child’s image.” Fraser wanted the group to pull the ad. Two years ago, Fraser brought her four children to a modeling agency to be photographed. She acknowledged signing a release form that allowed the photos to be sold as stock images. But she said she never thought her daughter would become the face of a pro-life campaign focusing on African Americans. The activist Rev. Al Sharpton cancelled a Friday news conference that he had planned at the billboard to protest its message. “The billboard was offensive, especially during Black History Month,” Sharpton said in a statement Thursday. The Women of Color Policy Network at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service had objected to the billboard and had written a letter to the advertising company. “The billboard is only one of the many attacks on reproductive freedom and services for low-income women across the country,” said Nicole Mason, the executive director of the Women of Color Policy Network. We still don’t understand how this billboard even made it up… Or when these same conservative activist types are going to become this adamant about highlighting how many African Americans are dying because of inadequate healthcare in the hood, gang violence, the prison system, HIV/AIDS… Source

Chris Brown’s Restraining Order Modified

Singer is now allowed near ex-girlfriend Rihanna if he doesn’t ‘annoy’ her. By Ryan J. Downey Chris Brown Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Chris Brown is legally allowed near Rihanna again. In a downtown Los Angeles court on Tuesday, a judge altered the restraining order imposed upon the singer following his brutal beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna after a 2009 pre-Grammy Awards party. The restraining order has been replaced by a “level one order.” Brown, who was in court with his attorney Mark Geragos, is now allowed to be around Rihanna, provided he abides by certain conditions. “I’m approving the order,” Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown, according to Radar Online . “You can’t annoy, molest, or conduct surveillance of the person on the order.” Rihanna was not present in the courtroom, but her lawyer, Donald Etra, was. “I have spoken with my client, and she does not object to it being modified to a level one order,” he said. It’s been just over two years since the assault, which resulted in Brown being ordered to stay at least 50 feet away from Rihanna. Brown pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to five years probation and more than 1400 hours of “labor-oriented service.” In November, Schnegg praised Brown for his progress since his initial sentencing. “Of all probationers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have,” the judge said at a progress hearing, and on Tuesday, she spoke positively of Brown’s participation in domestic violence counseling. Kobe Bryant Talks Recruiting Kanye West For Nike Film

‘He’s the first person I thought of,’ NBA All-Star MVP tells MTV News of tapping ‘Ye for ‘Black Mamba’ ad. By Alvin Blanco Kobe Bryant in “The Black Mamba” Photo: Nike NBA legend-in-the-making Kobe Bryant’s nickname is the Black Mamba, so a movie based on that tag was probably inevitable. Bryant, Nike and director Robert Rodriguez created a short film titled “The Black Mamba” that serves as an ad for his latest signature shoe, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI. The four-time NBA All-Star MVP spoke to MTV News about the spot and getting Kanye West onboard. “Well, it was just us talking,” Bryant told us of recruiting ‘Ye, during All-Star weekend. “We’ve known each other for quite some time, so when the idea came up to do a spot like this, he’s the first person I thought of.” Besides Bryant and West, actors Bruce Willis and Danny Trejo also make appearances in the six-minute spot. Nike previewed the short film at NBA All-Star Weekend festivities on Friday night at the W Hotel in Hollywood before officially debuting it online the next day. After the film was shown at the W, West hit the stage and performed his verse from “H.A.M.” (from his upcoming Watch the Throne project with Jay-Z) to a crowd that included LeBron James and Amar’e Stoudemire. “It was incredible,” Bryant said of Yeezy’s performance. “It just put a cap on the whole night. We aired the spot and then brought him out to perform and it kind of just took it over the top.” Bryant and West were in the same building again on Sunday afternoon for the NBA All-Star Game at the Staples Center, where Kobe went off in front of his hometown crowd for 37 points and 14 rebounds, earning him his fourth All-Star Game MVP trophy . Meanwhile, West hit the stage at halftime, closing out Rihanna’s set with a performance of “All of the Lights” from his platinum My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Later that evening, the LA Lakers guard added to his trophy case as he accepted a “He Got Game” statue at the Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards . Bryant was recently seen reminiscing about his pre-NBA years on an episode of MTV’s “When I Was 17” that aired earlier this month. Related Artists Kanye West
