Why Does the New York Times Keep Losing Reporters?

The rescue of New York Times reporter Stephen Farrell in Afghanistan comes on the heels of Times reporter David Rohde ‘s similar (though much longer) ordeal. It’s at least the fifth kidnapping or arrest of a Times man in as many years. Farrell was kidnapped over the holiday weekend by Taliban militants while attempting to report from the site of a recent NATO airstrike near Kunduz.
