Travis Scott SLAMMED by Al Sharpton for Halftime Show Hypocrisy

Being as wonderful as she is beautiful,  Rihanna passed on the Super Bowl Halftime Show  in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. Travis Scott cannot say the same, and has reportedly agreed to perform with Maroon 5. Everyone is pissed, including Al Sharpton, who calls out Travis for selling out. TMZ   caught up with famed and controversial civil rights advocate Al Shaprton and got his opinion on Travis Scott's potential Halftime gig. “I think anyone that goes into the halftime show is in effect directly violating,” Al Sharpton begins. He continues: “those that want to raise the question that the NFL should come to terms with what they have done and continue to do to Colin Kaepernick” “And,” Sharpton continues, it would put them in opposition with “those that protest on criminal justice issues.” In other words, if you put on a show at the behest of an organziation that penalizes and punishes civil rights advocates, you're not the good guy. “You can't tell people to stand for those that take a knee and don't go to the games,” Sharpton continues. He says: “And then say 'but somebody ought to perform there and entertain.'” That's pretty fair. “You're drawing TV viewers, you're bringing supporters,” he points out. Performing at the Halftime show in 2019 would be an endorsement of NFL. Who wants  that  on their conscience? “And,” Sharpton reasons. “I think that you can't have it both ways,”  The  TMZ  interviewer, hoping for a little more words from Sharpton, then poses some complicated questions. For instance, could Travis potentially take the gig, but use the platform to  Famously, Beyonce took charge of the Halftime show in 2016 for exactly that purpose. But that was when Kaepernick was still part of the NFL. Now, he claims that the NFL colluded to force him out. “You can’t help people market something,” Sharpton says. “And then turn around and say you agree with the people protesting.” Sharpton has some advice for Travis Scott. “I think he should do what a lot of other major artists have done,” he suggests. Sharpton recommends that Travis “say 'I'm not going to participate.’”  Travis is a father now, and has to decide what sort of man he wants to be and what sort of world he wants to help make for baby Stormi. “You can't fight against Jim Crow and then go sit in the back of the bus,” Sharpton explains. He makes a lot of statements, but to be fair, the guy made his case very well for a man who's standing in the rain. Travis Scott came under fire over the weekend after an old interview resurfaced. In 2014, long before he was Kylie's famous baby daddy, he gave a radio interview about the infamous murder of Michael Brown in Ferguson. “I'm kind of angry,” Travis said at the time. “So many black people are acting like fake activists.” “I'm not saying that he deserved to get killed,” Travis clarified. “But,” Travis continued. “I'm not saying he didn't deserve to pay for consequences he probably inflicted.” In that same old interview, Travis continued, referring to “the problem with black people.” He disliked the  disruption  in Ferguson that followed Brown's murder. “And I know we're like 'fed up' … with whatever is going on in the culture,” Travis said. “But at the same time,” Travis continued. “You gotta just stop putting yourself in positions where you're continuously having this situation go down.” Many of his fans felt betrayed reading those words. Don't do crimes  is a fine message in general, but not an acceptable response when a man is extrajudicially executed in the street. Now, Travis made these comments more than four years ago. A lot of people's ideas change over time.  Ferguson was a huge catalyst for changing the nation's understanding of the shootings of unarmed black people. But Travis accepting the Halftime show after everything may mean that he still hasn't changed his mind — or hasn't changed it enough. Maybe he'll surprise us all. But reports say that Jay-Z is personally trying to persuade Travis to turn down the offer.

Lala Kent: I’m 60 Days Sober and I Still Hate James Kennedy!

There was a time when it seemed highly unlikely, but believe it or not, the cast of Vanderpump Rules is growing up. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are engaged ; Stassi Schroeder is dating a guy who doesn’t seem like a colossal douche-nozzle; the Toms have made the leap from Lisa’s lackeys to Lisa’s business partners … But perhaps no one has taken as many steps toward full-blown adulting as Lala Kent. Back in September, we learned that Lala is engaged to film producer Randall Emmett , the man who was once derided by the rest of the cast as Kent’s adulterous sugar daddy. Make no mistake — Emmett is loaded — but it’s not clear that Lala is far more to him than a side-piece. We’re sure Randall’s career will recover from the film Gotti and it’s 0 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, and that he and Lala will snjoy many luxurious years together. But Kent’s biggest achievement of 2018 isn’t landing a wealthy fiance or cementing her place as the most down-to-earth, relatable member of the Vanderpump cast. No, her greatest accomplishment is waging a victorious battle against substance abuse. “Today marks 60 days that I’ve been sober and it’s been the best 60 days that I’ve had in a really long time,” Kent shared in her Instagram story today. “Thank you to my sponsor, thanks to my sober coach, people in my meetings that tell me to keep taking it day by day,” she said, blowing a kiss at the camera. “I love you guys.” The news comes just months after the death of Lala’s father . “I stayed dry this season, most of it, I didn’t drink just because I was so up and down with the emotions with my dad. … I was still kind of in a fog,” Kent said in a recent interview promoting the current season of Vanderpump. “So I think a lot of the stuff I see this season, I’m going to remember after I watch it, I was very foggy and just very emotional at the same time.” In a separate interview from earlier this month, Lala opened up about her decision to get sober: “My fiancé always says I have this sixth sense where I know when things have gotten to a point where they need to change, so I can’t really pinpoint one incident [that marked a turn to sobriety],” she told Cosmopolitan . “When I really came to the conclusion that I am in that zone of having a problem, I just said enough’s enough. I picked up the phone, I called this sponsor that had been recommended to me. It’s the best decision of my whole life.” Kent went on to reveal that her alcohol consumption was never about partying: Drinking for me was medication instead of celebration,” she told the magazine. “Instead of going and talking to somebody about losing someone extremely important to you, we turn to things to medicate. “I just want to make sure that I put my voice out there to say, reach out to someone, reach out to a grief counselor, partner with someone who can make you feel like you’re not by yourself and going completely insane.” Lala didn’t open up about her feelings toward her ex-BFF James Kennedy and his increasingly problematic boozing, but it’s become clear that she’s very much not a fan. (Especially after the way James skewered Gotti on Sunday night’s episode.) We commend Lala on opening up in such candid fashion, and we wish her all the best going forward. Lala Kent: Leaving Vanderpump Rules!

Scheana Marie can breathe a huge sigh of relief. The always-controversial Lala Kent has confirmed that she will be leaving Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules during Season 5 of the hit series. If you  watch Vanderpump Rules online , you probably already know Lala has not gone down a storm with many of the SUR employees. Her exit comes as no surprise. Often clashing with the more established members of the SUR staff, she struggled to win their acceptance from the moment she arrived. Add in the fact that she was missing from the cast promotional poster earlier this year. It was clear something went wrong along the way.  “I’m excited for people to watch me exit because it’s just going to show a new side of my life and I think it will get to show people who I really am.” Kent told TooFab in a statement: Watch Vanderpump Rules Season 5 Episode 6 Online “I watch the show sometimes and I’m like that’s not me. I want people to see who I actually hang out with, my day-to-day life. And I never got to show that.” “I’m excited for people to watch me leave Vanderpump Rules to be quite honest.” Reality TV often comes under fire because the way some of the stars are portrayed. Let’s just say she was never shown in the best light and that’s why Scheana flat out refused to become friends with her.  “I made it halfway through the season and just decided that I want no part of the people anymore,” she revealed. “I feel like they don’t deserve to be in my world in any way shape or form. So I dismissed myself.” The part in which she dismissed herself seems pretty rich because rumors are swirling she’s been getting jiggy with a married man. Maybe she did not expect her deceit to make it on to the TV show, or something.  Either way, don’t expect the drama at SUR to slow down in Lala’s absence. There’s every possibility she’ll pull a James Kennedy at some point down the line and try get her job back.  View Slideshow: Lala Kent: Best Instagram Pics of Vanderpump Rules’ Newest Star That seems to be what the people from the show do when their next venture hits a lull.  Heck, if the rumor is true about her with the married man, maybe she and Scheana have more in common than they think.  Time will tell, you guys.  In the meantime, speculate in the comments about what Lala’s big exit storyline will involve, and whether anyone will be sad to see her go. We’d be surprised if Lisa Vanderpump does not have a say in her exit – or if she goes quietly into the night without some major confrontation. Brielle Zolciak Posts Bikini Selfie, Continues to Compete With Her Mom

As children grow into adults, it’s not uncommon for them to feel competitive with their own parents. Usually, this means the kids try to match the grownups in terms of career or financial success. In the Zolciak-Biermann household, it means stepping up your bikini selfie game to outdo your spotlight-loving mother. As you can see, 18-year-old Brielle Zolciak’s bikini selfies leave little to the imagination. The girl knows her best angles, and why shouldn’t she? She learned from the best. Not only has she grown up watching her mom pose for endless selfie sessions in front of full-length mirrors, she’s actually become a featured star on Kim’s Instagram page in recent months. Kim Zolciak, of course, has been criticized for posting photos of her teenage daughters in bikinis , but we have a hard time blaming her. After all, we’re pretty sure she was born without the part of your brain that tells you when something is wildly inappropriate. Anyway, the torch is now being passed to a new generation of scantily-clad Zolciaks, but right now we’re in this in-between area where both mother and daughter are competing for attention on social media, and the whole thing has a serious ick factor. But don’t let that affect your enjoyment of these photos of Brielle in swimwear. It’s totally possible she doesn’t own any actual clothing: View Slideshow: Brielle Zolciak: Photos of Instagram’s Newest Star
