Lucy Hale has made a big name for herself on Pretty Little Liars . But she would make an absolutely huge name for herself if she earned the role of Anastasia Steele in the big screen adaption of Fifty Shades of Grey . Hale has already expressed interest in the part, but she tempers expectations a bit in the latest issue of Haute Muse . “I’m definitely a huge fan of the books. Obviously I’d be thrilled to be a part of it, but I think it’s in the very beginning stages of it all,” the actress tells the magazine. Hale has also signed a recording contract and will release a country album some time in 2013. She hopes, at least. “We’re exploring what we want my sound to be and what I want to talk about in my album. It’s kind of hard with my schedule to fit in both the filming and music, so we’re hoping to release it by next year. Mark Sanchez did not lead the New York Jets to a single offensive touchdown in the team’s first preseason game. But a new report makes it clearer than ever: the quarterback is having no trouble scoring with Eva Longoria! Rumors of Longoria and Sanchez as an item first started in June and are now heating up after the famous twosome allegedly spent two nights together over Labor Day weekend. Discussing her new show Katie and which celebrities she’d like to interview, Katie Couric made some surprisingly candid remarks about one in particular. “I think it would be interesting to interview Kate Middleton because she has comported herself so well since she has been thrust in the limelight,” she said. However, she added, “I think she needs to eat more because she’s so thin.” Royal sources consistently reiterate that there is no problem with Kate’s dietary habits, yet speculation and discussion about Kate’s slender frame persist. Some even think it may be at least part of the reason that the newlyweds have yet to become pregnant, despite their expressed desire to start a family . It is not clear why Couric – who was granted exclusive access to the Royals for her ABC News Special – would have made the extraordinary comments . She surely meant no harm, but the weight topic is a sensitive one to say the least at the palace, especially given Princess Diana’s battle with bulimia. Kate Middleton is not bulimic, obviously, and even seems to have put on (a little) weight in the past few weeks, though she remains naturally thin. First, there was the announcement, followed by the fan reactions and support from the Kardashian siblings . Now, there’s a lawsuit . That’s right: Concerned citizen/comedian/defender of the sanctity of marriage Rob Delaney explained his logic to MTV News thusly: “I’m suing Kim Kardashian and Ryan Seacrest and E! Entertainment Television and Comcast for perpetrating what we now know to be a hoax, their marriage,” he told MTV News on Tuesday. “It can’t be real. I want them to stay married. I want them to stick it out, so as an incentive, I am suing them for monetary damages — but only $18 million, not a lot. That’s just what she was paid for the wedding episodes themselves.” Delaney said the idea for the lawsuit has been brewing ever since he started seeing advertisements for Kardashian and Humphries’ wedding special on various billboards around Los Angeles. “I would drive to work every day, and I would see the billboards for the wedding, and they were offensive to me, because they weren’t normal billboards; they were these super billboards, where they add extra stuff on and make them larger than normal,” he said. “They’re on these super billboards with them getting ready to get married like it was some royal wedding, and then for them to immediately try and dissolve it 72 days later — they renewed their vows on ‘Ellen’ at day 60! What happened in those 12 days? It must have been bad.” Delaney said he thinks the newlyweds-no-more should make a serious attempt to work out their differences. “I will say, as someone who is married, that you are going to go through periods where you hate your spouse for 12 days — longer,” he said. That’s like a blip, and then you recover, and you figure it out together and figure out what the problem was and you grow, and these things that seem insurmountable and awful, you realize they made you stronger. “I want Kim to be happy,” Delaney insisted. “I don’t hate her. She’s a person who deserves happiness, but you have to fight and work for it. As a married man and a dad and an American, I want to make her reconsider. I don’t want the money. Just one week after announcing that she has breast cancer , Giuliana Rancic is back in the house at E! News. She will anchor E! News tonight as per usual. “I’m so thrilled to get back to work and return to my E! family today,” she said . “I still have a long road ahead, but thanks to everyone’s overwhelming love, support and prayers, it will be an easier journey. The E! viewers have helped me to get through this and stay strong more than they will ever know.” “I will be eternally grateful to them for their love,” she added. The Fashion Police cohost went public with her breast cancer diagnosis on October 17. She underwent surgery late last week and was placed on bed rest. So what’s next for everyone’s favorite entertainment maven? Husband Bill Rancic said that Giuliana is expected to start radiation treatment in about a month’s time, “after she heals and has her strength back.” In the meantime, it’s business as usual for the E! personality.
