President Obama In Atlanta Today For Tyler Perry Fundraiser

President Barack Obama will be arriving in Atlanta this afternoon for a series of fundraisers, including one at the Tyler Perry studios that will feature a performance by Atlanta’s own Cee-Lo Green . Before returning to the White House , President Obama will visit Tyler Perry’s home for an exclusive party that cost $35,800 per head. At least 60 people are expected to attend. The White House has not publicly released the president’s travel plans, but according to the White House’s web site , President Obama is scheduled to land at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport at 5:30 pm. Any route from Hartsfield to Tyler Perry’s southwest Atlanta studios would likely involve I-285 or I-85, as well as surface streets. Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke , 38, faces five to six years in prison when he is sentenced on May 18 for conspiring to distribute more than 100 kilos of marijuana. The often silent partner of the Roc plead guilty to the charges after he and several cohorts, including an editor of High Times magazine , were nabbed in a federal drug sting in New York City. Under the plea deal, Burke agreed to forfeit cash, his New Jersey house and a BMW. Biggs was arrested with over 50 others in 2010.
