Atlanta’s own Ludacris has signed on to play a cop in the upcoming film New Years Eve . The movie will serve as a sequel to the romantic comedy Valentines Day . The film will follow a group of people as they prepare for the upcoming holiday. It is slated to open on December 9th. Chris Brown’s publicist called it quits after the singer had a meltdown in his dressing room at ABC’s “Good Morning America,” which resulted in Brown smashing a window and leaving the studio with his shirt off. Sources tell the New York Post that the two decided to end their business relationship. Who could blame her for bailing? The public fallout to Brown’s latest faux pas, to put it lightly, certainly would be quite a lot for any publicist to handle. When Whoopi Goldberg won her Best Supporting Actress Oscar for ‘Ghost’ back in 1991, she was high as a kite, according to TMZ . Whoopi dropped the bombshell during a voice-over recording session for the film ‘The Pagemaster’ in 1992, yet the footage hasn’t been seen by the public until now! In the clip, Whoopi says that smoking, both cigarettes and weed, is a life habit and she admits to having smoked a “wonderful joint” to help calm her nerves before the ceremony, and was so high during the award show, she had to mentally coach herself into getting up on stage to make her acceptance speech! Whoopi has a pretty relaxed attitude to the whole thing though, laughing as she recalls getting busted by her mother, who called her after the ceremony and could tell she smoked up because of her “glistening eyes.” But when Whoopi realizes that she is being filmed she also notes, “Just because I do it doesn’t mean you should do it.” Check out the clip below…. As we previously reported, Soulja Boy’s younger brother, Deion Jenkins, was killed in a car accident last week at the age of 14. Now Soulja Boy’s other brother, Tracy, is threatening to commit suicide, claiming he doesn’t know how to cope with the loss of his brother. In a posting on his Facebook page, Tracy Jenkins said “I wonder if I get this 45 pistol in blOw my brains out will it make all this pain go away! Yes it will so why not #igiveup” Friends left comments for Tracy on the page begging him not to take such a drastic course of action. We hope Tracy can pull it together for his family! Chris Brown was on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday to perform a couple of tracks from his new album, F.A.M.E. , which was released on Tuesday – the same day Chris Brown went smashed a window in his dressing room at ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Chris Brown explained what went on during that rampage during the interview portion of his appearance. “First of all, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, or anybody who was offended or really looked, and [was] disappointed at my actions,” Brown said on to show hosts, Terence J & Rocsi. “Because I’m disappointed in the way I acted.” It doesn’t appear that the incident has affected sales of F.A.M.E. . The album is expected to sell between 250,000 and 300,000 copies in it’s first week. Lil Wayne is being sued for $20 million by Darius “Deezle” Harrison, a producer who says he was not paid for his work on Lil’ Wayne’s 6 million selling album, The Carter III . Harrison says he produced “Lollipop,” “Mrs. Officer,” “Let The Beat Build,” “Whip It” and “Prostitute 2″ on the album, which he believes grossed over $70 million. Harrison is just the latest in a long line of producers who have claimed that they haven’t been paid for work on The Carter III . Lil Wayne plans to release The Carter IV this summer. Chris Brown‘s upcoming appearance on “Dancing With The Stars” may be canceled thanks to his violent outburst at “Good Morning America.” Several top staffers at ABC are asking that Breezy be banned from the network. From PopEater.com : “Chris was so dangerous backstage that we called 911,” a ‘GMA’ insider tells me. “He totally flew off the handle after being asked a question about his 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Now ABC has to decide if they are willing to let this man promote his music on a family show on its network or walk away from this obviously troubled young man.” Chris Brown is scheduled to perform on the popular dancing competition next Monday. Photo courtesy of the AJC.com Asheley Jewell, the Stephenson High sophomore critically wounded in an apparent road-rage shooting, has begun speaking again, her family told the AJC on Tuesday. Jewell, 15, remains at Grady Memorial Hospital. As we previously reported, on March 5 Jewell was a passenger in a vehicle riding on Old National Highway when another car began chasing them. Shot were fired and Jewell was hit in the head. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477. The family has also set up a Facebook page, “Justice for Asheley Jewell.” Jewell is the daughter of Kandi Burruss’ late fiance, A.J. Jewell, who died in 2009 after a fight outside the Body Tap strip club. Read more at the AJC.
