Bethenny Frankel is still feeling the torturous after-effects of her disaster of a marriage to Jason Hoppy , but that doesn’t mean that she won’t one day fall in love. And sometimes people, celebrities and otherwise, need a little help — like with the help of a certain Millionaire Matchmaker , Patti Stranger. Only … apparently that would never happen. In fact, Patti went off and shared exactly what she thinks of Bethenny Frankel. Spoiler alert: Patti doesn’t paint a flattering picture. Not only did Patti Stranger say that she would never take Bethenny Frankel as a client , but she says exactly why. And it’s because she has a very low opinion of the The Real Housewives of New York City star. At a WEtv event on Wednesday, Patti explained why she wouldn’t take the Real Housewife on as a matchmaking client. “She’s not kind.” Well … yeah. It’s not that it’s impossible to be a reality TV personality without being rude. But Bethenny is known for being a little sharp and maybe not aggressively sympathetic. Which is sort of the stereotype for New Yorkers, but Bethenny takes it to another level. What Patti then has to say is where this gets more severe. “I used to date-coach her . . . When people are mean to other people, they don’t deserve love. Sorry.” WHOA. Patti’s saying that Bethenny’s general disposition and personality make her unworthy of love ? Has Patti Stranger never watched a damn Disney movie? There are reality stars out there who don’t deserve love, but we’re not talking about Josh Duggar or Kate Gosselin right now. Bethenny Frankel is a little intense and a lot catty, not some monster . So are a lot of people. She can find someone with whom she’s compatible. Before we try to pretend that Patti Stranger is some impartial judge, Page Six reminds us all that Patti is pretty close with Jill Zarin. And, as we’re all too aware, Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel do not get along. They also report that someone close to Bethenny didn’t think much, at all, of Patti’s statement. In part because they don’t believe that Bethenny is in the market for any sort of matchmaker. “[Bethenny] is doing just fine and doesn’t need anyone’s advice.” Well, Bethenny certainly doesn’t need the help of someone who thinks that she doesn’t deserve love, right? Considering that Bethenny’s ex Jason Hoppy was just arraigned for even more stalking charges , you might think that Bethenny Frankel would be looking for dating advice from anyone and everyone. Like, forget the reality show drama for a hot minute — the stuff that Jason Hoppy’s been accused of is serious. But Bethenny really seems to be the sort of person who wants to do things like this for herself. She’s been perfectly happy giving romantic advice to Luann de Lesseps (advice that she only recently acted upon ), but not everyone who’s good at dishing out advice is good at taking it. But, yeah, Bethenny is gonna be fine without Patti’s services.
Remember when Kanye West had a mental breakdown , checked himself into a hospital, and had to cancel his tour? Normally, some very pricey insurance policies cover that kind of situation. But apparently things for Kanye aren’t working out and he’s suing his insurers for $10 million … and basically accusing them of being scammers. And here we were thinking that the Smelly Vagina Lawsuit getting settled was interesting legal news! Kanye has always been impulsive and outlandish. It’s part of his brand. A lot of people believed that maybe it was mostly an act. People have had similar theories about plenty of stars who are known for being controversial or badly behaved. Basically, people have trouble believing that a grown adult could act like some celebrities do, and so they imagine that it’s all a show. In some cases, they’re absolutely right. But things with Kanye were clearly more serious than a childlike lack of impulse-control. In recent years, he’s done everything from tweet that Bill Cosby is innocent to beg Jay-Z to not have him murdered to making the irrational statement that, had he voted, he would have voted for Trump . We’re not saying that every Trump supporter needs their head examined (just a packet of information and perhaps a compassionate lecture), but for Kanye, that was super unexpected and Kanye is, um, not quite Trump’s demographic. Things got worse last December and, as we later learned, Kanye was suffering from severe psychosis from exhaustion . The tour was canceled, tickets were refunded, and the costs of shutting down were supposed to be covered by Kanye’s company’s insurance policy. Well, apparently his insurers — various syndicates of Lloyd’s of London, which sounds shadier than it’s supposed to but that might be appropriate in this case — responded to his team filing an insurance claim by basically taking every measure possible to prove that they weren’t liable. Many people have had tough dealings with insurance adjusters, but this sounds like it’s on a whole other level. The Hollywood Reporter obtained details of Kanye’s lawsuit , including the precise wording of the complaint that Kanye’s legal team has filed. Strap in, folks, because this is possibly the most entertaining legal document that you’re going to read for a good long while. “[The insurers haven’t] provided anything approaching a coherent explanation about why they have not paid, or any indication if they will ever pay or even make a coverage decision.” Does anybody else notice a hint of sass in that? “Implying that Kanye’s use of marijuana may provide them with a basis to deny the claim and retain the hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance premiums paid by Very Good.” By Very Good , they mean Very Good Touring, Inc, which sounds like a lazy parody but it’s just the name of Kanye’s touring company. Kanye’s legal team accuses these insurers of more than just screwing over Kanye’s company, though: “The stalling is emblematic of a broader modus operandi of the insurers of never-ending post-claim underwriting where the insurers hunt for some contrived excuse not to pay.” Did you get that? Basically, Kanye’s accusing these syndicates of accepting massive sums of money (insurance premiums) and then searching for any loophole that keeps them from having to pay anything back when a claim is filed. That’s not how insurance companies are supposed to operate. “Almost immediately after the claim was submitted, Defendants selected legal counsel to oversee the adjustment of the claim, instead of the more normal approach of retaining a non-lawyer insurance adjuster.” That sounds shady, right? Kanye’s team thinks so. “Immediately turning to legal counsel made it clear that Defendants’ goal was to hunt for any ostensible excuse, no matter how fanciful, to deny coverage or to maneuver themselves into a position of trying to negotiate a discount on the loss payment.” It’s an insurance adjuster’s job to make sure that nobody’s filing a false claim, but companies are supposed to pay out when an honest claim is filed. Kanye’s lawyer, Howard King, has an incredibly well-written statement on the case. “Performing artists who pay handsomely to insurance companies within the Lloyd’s of London marketplace to obtain show tour ‘non-appearance or cancelation’ insurance should take note of the lesson to be learned from this lawsuit:” Clearly, he’s going right for their reputation. “Lloyd’s companies enjoy collecting bounteous premiums; they don’t enjoy paying claims, no matter how legitimate. Their business model thrives on conducting unending ‘investigations,’ of bona fide coverage requests, stalling interminably, running up their insured’s costs, and avoiding coverage decisions based on flimsy excuses.” Then comes the best line: “The artists think they they’re buying peace of mind. The insurers know they’re just selling a ticket to the courthouse.” If that’s any indication, it sounds like Kanye’s getting his money’s worth out of his attorney. If only he’d had that kind of luck with his tour’s insurers, huh? That said … so far, we’ve only heard one side of the story. Seven months into her pregnancy , The Hills star Heidi Montag is still staying active. She’s even keeping up her exercise routines! She’s shared glimpses of her workouts with followers. As you can imagine, her baby bump is very much on display. It’s so nice to see that Heidi and Spencer have come this far in their lives, you know? It’s been years since the two of them squandered their combined $10 million fortune on absurd purchases like pricey handbags and rare crystals. (Yes, really) Those were the times when Heidi Montag kept getting worrisome cosmetic procedures (remember her F-cup breasts? Thankfully she got them reduced later ), which led to friction between herself and her mother. As we mentioned recently, Heidi and her mom are getting along better now. It turns out that The Mother-Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition actually helped some people to heal old hurts! Who knew?! So now, after all of their bonkers misadventures and mistakes, Heidi and Chris are just content being happy with each other as a couple. And they’re getting closer and closer to welcoming their child into this world. As you can see from this photo, Heidi is very far along: She looks great! And check out that baby-bump! Exercise, within reasonable limits, can be healthy when you’re pregnant. (Just like it can be healthy when you’re not pregnant) If exercising makes you feel especially distressed or nauseated during your pregnancy, then cut it out of your routine until you’re no longer pregnant. (Similarly, if an exercise is putting your body through real hell, don’t do it — no pregnancy required) Walking and even hiking can be popular non-rigorous exercises during pregnancy. As always, it’s important to stay hydrated in those cases — even more so than for non-pregnant hikers. With pregnancy, there’s always a risk that something could suddenly go wrong, so we wouldn’t recommend hiking anywhere that’s more than a few minutes from where a vehicle could easily reach you. Like, you can just go for a walk around a public lake, ideally with your partner or a walking buddy. And, of course, your cell phone. Both of your cell phones. And plenty of water. We have a feeling that Heidi isn’t overdoing it, here, because she’s clearly very conscious of the strain of working out while pregnant. Specifically, the ouch factor on her feet and ankles. As we can see, Spencer Pratt is clearly good husband material. Foot massages feel weird to some people (and can be torture for the ticklish), but for others, they can be a great source of relief. Especially if they’ve been walking for two. And standing for two. And especially if they’ve been exercising for two. Speaking of Heidi Montag’s activities, though, have you guys ever heard of a babymoon ? It’s not, like, a type of full moon or whatever. It’s like a cross between a honeymoon and a baby shower. That doesn’t necessarily make a lot of sense to us, given that traveling while pregnant isn’t necessarily the easiest thing in the world, but it’s a thing. Anyway, Spencer and Heidi snapped this photo while on their babymoon in Hawaii. Even dressed, there’s no hiding that baby bump. We know that Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag probably wish that they had more of their former fortune to help welcome their child into the world. But you know what? This couple seems loving and, despite their histories, well-adjusted. In fact, their past mistakes might make them wiser people and wiser parents. We hope so, anyway.
First comes love? Then comes marriage? Then comes a baby in a baby carriage? Not exactly. Not in this exact order for Jenelle Evans. The veteran Teen Mom star checked off the latter item on the list above before all others, as she’s the parent of three young kids: Jace, Kaiser and Ensley. But she’s all set to make her way back up the rundown in less than two months’ time. Indeed, Jenelle is getting married to David Eason! On September 23! And you know what that means, right? No pigs are not flying past your window at the moment. But with just a few weeks until her big day arrives, Evans has gone ahead and sent off invitations to her wedding guests, including good pal Tori Rhyne. Tori, in turn, has shared a picture of the invitation on Instagram, writing as a caption along with it: Finally got my official wedding invitation in the mail today to my best friend @j_evans1219 wedding. I had to take a picture because the card is soooo pretty and I’m so happy for her and David. Eason popped his question back in February, not long after Jenelle gave birth to their baby daughter, Ensley Jolie, on January 24, 2017. He asked for Jenelle’s hand in holy matrimony while on a hike, dropping to one knee with MTV cameras (of course) present and gifting the love of his life with a pear-shaped diamond ring. “The engagement was definitely one for the books! His idea was so original and he left me speechless,” Evans has said, adding earlier this year: “He told me to look at the roses on the ground and asked if I thought they were pretty. Of course, I agreed! “Then he said, ‘These are for you!’ and I said ‘no!'” Not really, that is. Jenelle said yes. “As I looked over his shoulder, MTV was there behind the trees and I had no idea they were going to be there,” Jenelle explained. “He asked me to marry him and I said yes! “We were both in tears.” Along with her new journey of love, Evans says she’s embarking on a fresh start to life. She recounts in her new memoir how she nearly died of a heroin overdose and told Us Weekly in a new interview that she’ll never do this hard drug again. “I quit cold turkey,” Jenelle claims of this experience. “I just went to my mom’s house and rode it out. I started to go through withdrawals for the first time… “You can die from trying to withdraw on your own. I luckily did it safely.” Good for Evans, right?!? No matter what you may think of this Teen Mom, she does have children. Let’s hope she remains off drugs and ends up happily married to Eason for many decades to come. Amber Rose is known for being body-positive, unashamed about nudity , and for countering slut-shaming with frank discussions about sex and about women’s rights. She’s also known for her modeling work and her incredible body. But Amber Rose took to Instagram to share with followers that she’s seriously considering saying goodbye to part of her legendary figure: her breasts. Amber posted a message to her followers: “I’m thinking about getting a breast reduction this year.” A lot of people get breast reduction procedures, though reasons for them can vary. Amber Rose’s breasts are huge , by any standard, so she really doesn’t have to explain. “My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra.” Back pain due to large, cumbersome breasts can be a serious problem, especially over time. That pain is real and it doesn’t get better with age. Wardrobe issues are not at all uncommon for women with large breasts. Many find shopping for shirts difficult, not to mention finding a bra that fits them and looks nice. A lot of larger bras are those beige ones, folks. “I’m really scared of the lollipop scars tho…. any advice?” Lollipop scars, called this for their shape, are scars that follow a straight line up the bottom of the breast and then encircle the entire nipple of both breasts, as this is where the incision is made so that breast tissue can be removed. Cosmetic surgery can often do away with scars, but that means having yet another procedure, and not all scarring can be wiped away. What really matters is being happy after the procedure, and it looks like Amber knows that: “Are there any ladies out there that are much happier even though you have breast reduction scars?” We do hear that they fade over time, but everyone’s skin is different. A lot of women worry about facing rejection if their breasts look disfigured. (Men can be terrible, folks) “And no I don’t have implants so they can’t just cut around the nipples.” Sometimes breast implants can be inserted or removed through a 180 degree incision around the areola, though that’s usually in patients with larger nipples after they’ve given birth. (Someone should tell Rob Kardashian that, since his revenge porn meltdown last month betrayed his total ignorance about how nipples naturally change size) Amber Rose really wanted feedback from her followers in ways that many people would not. “Tell me about [your] experiences.” Some celebrities leave their Instagram comments closed as a matter of course. They just want to share photos and their lives but they don’t need to see the hate or a dozen people comment “first!” like this is YouTube in 2008. Amber Rose, however, was literally asking for responses. As you can imagine, the comments that she got were varied. A lot of people expressed sympathy. Some were medical professionals (or, at least, they claimed to be) who warned of things like scarring (though, as we mentioned before, scarring isn’t always permanent). Others had undergone breast reductions or knew people who had. Other celebrities, such as Ariel Winter, have undergone breast reduction surgery to address physical discomfort as well as wardrobe problems. (In Ariel’s case, it was also to reclaim a bit of her identity and to take control of her image) So Amber Rose, if she decides to do this, will be in good company. We’re not saying that crowdsourcing your medical advice is any substitute for consulting with qualified surgeons. But we do think that it’s neat that Amber Rose reached out to her fans Not just as a treat for some of them, but because she’s using her fame as a resource in a kind of unusual way. Billie Lourd has given her first interview since she suffered not one, but two unimaginable losses in the span of just over 24 hours last December. First, the young actress said goodbye to her mother, beloved Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher. Then, the very next day, Lourd’s grandmother (and Fisher’s mother), Debbie Reynolds, also passed away. Lourd, best known in the entertainment world for her role on Scream Queens, has commented here and there about the tragic deaths via her Instagram page. But she opens up in major detail for the first time in this Q&A with Town & Country. Speaking to American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson for the latest issue’s cover story, Lourd contrasts life with her organized father against that of her famously chaotic mother. “He gets home at the same time every day, and we eat dinner together, we do homework together, we watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and cry, and then go to sleep,” Lourd explained of living with her dad. “At Mom’s it was like, ‘Let’s put Christmas lights in the palm trees at 2 a.m.’ “Do you remember when Sharper Image was 24 hours? We went there all the time, 1 a.m. or 3 a.m., just picking up little trinkets… as if that was what you do!” Both Fisher and Reynolds became household names in the entertainment industry, but Lourd says neither wanted her to follow in their acting footsteps. “I think in a normal family they would have looked at me and been like, ‘Hey, this kid’s a performer.’ But I was so scared. I was embarrassed, honestly,” she tells the publication, adding: “Because they were like, ‘This is going to be a really s–tty lifestyle, and everyone’s going to be scrutinizing you deeply and constantly.’ “My mom wrote five books and a one-woman show; they didn’t want more things for people to be able to Google about me.” Fisher was known for being outspoken. At absolutely all times. Lourd says she was initially turned off by just how honest and raw her mother was – on stage, writing in books or when speaking to reporters – but she eventually came to admire it. Now, Billie says she wants to emuluate Fisher. “Looking back and watching her interviews, I try to model what I do after her. She was so good at it. She would get so annoyed with me if I ever did a fake interview. “She’d say, ‘Tell the real story.'” Billie says she surprised everyone (including herself) with how comfortable she felt on the set of her first film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens – and her family quickly became supportive of her burgeoning career at this small role. “Debbie was still encouraging me to put an act together. Literally three days before she died, she was like, ‘What numbers are you going to put in your act? Who are you going to impersonate?’ “I said, ‘I don’t think people do acts as much anymore,'” “And she came back, ‘That’s why if you do one you’ll be more successful than anyone else. The act is a dying art, and someone needs to revive it.” Elsewhere, Lourd says she’s keeping her mother’s compound (“It’s so magical.”) and that she relied on humor to get her through the hardest week of her life: “If life’s not funny, then it’s just true – and that would be unacceptable,” she says, quoting her mom. “Even when she died, that was what got me through that whole thing. “When Debbie died the next day, I could just picture her saying, ‘Well, she’s upstaging me once again, of course – she had to.” View Slideshow: Carrie Fisher: Mourned, Honored by Hollywood Billie, of course, would give anything to have her loved ones alive and back in her life. But there’s an opportunity now for her to become more independent. “I’ve always kind of lived in their shadows, and now is the first time in my life when I get to own my life and stand on my own,” she says.” “I love being my mother’s daughter, and it’s something I always will be, but now I get to be just Billie.” When was the last time she saw her mom alive? What does she think her mother would say to her now? “The last time I saw her in person, this episode of Scream Queens was on, and it was a big episode for me. “I had tons of scenes, and I was so hard on myself about it – I hated how I looked, hated my performance. I was really frustrated. She told me, ‘Come over right now. I want to watch this with you.’ “And she made me sit down and watch it, and she forced me to see the good parts. She was incredible like that. “But she was really hard on me, saying, ‘Shut up. You’re great in this. Have faith in yourself. Ariel Winter doesn’t just use Instagram to share embarrassing throwback photos — Most of the time, the photos that she shares are fresh and gorgeous. Whether she’s hanging out in daisy dukes or wearing a bikini and posing on a pizza , Ariel Winter’s entire Instagram is pretty much one elaborate thirst trap. And she’s just added some more. This time, it takes the form of an Instagram story, a skimpy bikini, and a very appropriate use of the peach emoji. So, given context and Ariel’s “before and after” caption — followed by the peach emoji, it looks like these three photos are a behind-the-scenes look at a photoshoot of hers. In the first photo, Ariel herself is off to the side. (Don’t worry, she’s featured much more prominently later) She’s wearing a super skimpy bikini. Like, the bottom is just an elaborate thong. A friend of hers or member of her entourage leans in to get a picture. (Almost upstaging Ariel with those very deliberate slashes in their own jeans — that’s a good look) Ariel is sitting down, which puts her butt at a great angle to be photographed for maximum flattery … as you’ll see below. But first, Ariel shares this photo of the kind of look that she was serving for this photoshoot. Her body is mind-blowing. Like, we already knew that, but it’s good to be reminded sometimes. We don’t know what kind of filter that pic was using, but the effect gives everything a dreamlike quality. Not like a real dream, but like how dreams look on television. The effect, with the lights reflecting in the water, makes a great backdrop. Ariel Winter’s skin is positively glowing and her hair is catching the light. Even though these are behind-the-scenes shots, she still looks amazing. And yes, it’s definitely Ariel Winter even though we don’t see her face. First of all, this story is on her Instagram. Second of all, in that pic of her from the front, you can see what is clearly Ariel Winter’s butt tattoo . This one reads: “Love is everything and asks for nothing.” But third of all … remember when we mentioned how appropriate the use of the peach emoji was? Yep. Ariel Winter’s butt is unmistakable. It’s like a fingerprint, but better. The peach emoji, of course, represents butts. Particularly excessively shapely ones — like Ariel’s. Now, look, there is so much more to Ariel Winter than her badonkadonk. She’s a brilliantly well-spoken young woman, she’s courageously overcome so much , and she’s a talented actress. Ariel feels confident in her amazing body and clearly enjoys showing it off, on her terms. She wants people to appreciate how she looks — again, on her terms. We don’t know exactly what photoshoot this is from. We imagine that her face was cropped out of the photos that she shared in order to not spoil the entirety of the photoshoot. Kathy Griffin has been more than a little controversial over the course of her career, but her most recent move has been something that everyone can support. The actress and comedian has shaved her head, for a very meaningful reason. And no, it has nothing to do with Trump. A writer who contributes to multiple news outlets shared a pair of photos of Kathy’s freshly shaved head over Twitter, explaining in the caption: “In solidarity with her sister, who is going through chemo, @kathygriffin shaved her head.” That is so heartbreaking to read about Kathy’s sister, Joyce Griffin. It would be about anyone, of course. But cancer is especially personal to Kathy and her family. Kathy Griffin’s older brother, Gary, died in 2014 after losing his battle with cancer. In the first photo, Kathy poses topless, running a hand across her now bare scalp in wonder at a sensation that people never feel in their lives. In the second photo, we see Kathy’s mother, Maggie Griffin, respond. Kathy Griffin’s mother is nearly as famous as she is, for her role on My Life On The D-List and for Kathy’s stories about her mother shared during stand-up comedy. Maggie is quite a character herself, as you know if you’ve ever heard anything that she’s said. Maggie quoted the tweet and added her own comment: “My daughter Kathleen Mary is a wonderful human being.” Look at how cute Maggie looks in the photo! Of course, Kathy Griffin is still reeling from the overblown backlash over that controversial photo she made with Tyler Shields . You know, the one where she’s holding up “Trump’s head” as if she’s just decapitated him. Like … it was in poor taste, absolutely. And she shouldn’t have done it. But the blowback on it would have been comical if the consequences for it hadn’t been so serious. Kathy Griffin lost multiple jobs over it in the ensuing outrage. Of course, the Trump team capitalized on it immediately, with the orange man himself making the ludicrous claim about his young son, Barron. Barron is arguably the only innocent among the Trump children (like Donald himself, we don’t really want to talk about Tiffany right now). So he was perfect for Trump to point to and say that Barron believed that the photo was real when he saw it. First of all, chances are pretty good that Barron didn’t see it at all. Second of all, Barron is 11, not 4. Pretending that he’d gone into a parent at the thought of his father having been murdered by a comedian that the tween had almost certainly never heard of was nothing short of absurd. But Kathy Griffin shouldn’t have posed for the photo. (She knows that and apologized as soon as it leaked ) If she hadn’t, the Trump team couldn’t have used up to stir up their followers like they did. Brace yourselves, because someone will inevitably call this a “publicity stunt.” They’ll accuse Kathy of doing this to get back into the public’s good graces. For years, Megan Fox was criticized for showing too much skin in various magazine pictorials. But not even the harshest critic could accuse this actress of showing off her kids on too many occasions. As much as perhaps as big-time star in Hollywood, Fox has kept her three children very far away from the spotlight, rarely sharing an image of them online and certainly never selling any images to any supermarket tabloids. We’re guessing Fox would prefer to star in another Michael Bay-directed Transformers movie again than even contemplate doing such a thing. Late Monday, however, the beautiful brunette shocked her Instagram followers by posting a snapshot of her three sons, all of whom she procreated along with Brian Austin Green. Fox did so via a gorgeous collage that features one Polaroid of herself; one of four-year old Noah; one of three-year old Bodhi; and one of 11-month old Journey. It may be of interest to some to note a couple things: 1. Green is holding the youngest of the three boys in one of the pictures. 2. Noah is wearing a Princess Elsa dress in honor of Frozen. (Why do we feel like some folks on the Internet will find fault with this?) Fox did not include a caption with the precious portrait. Fox and Green almost never share pictures such as these. However, they will occasionally post on social media in order to gush about their brood. In November 2016, for example, Green returned from a seven-month Instagram hiatus to say nice things about his kids and to also compliment Fox in the process. “My wife makes beautiful babies,” he wrote at the time , referring specifically to little Journey. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star filed for divorce from her husband of five years in August 2015. However, they reconciled the following year … just before Fox gave birth to Journey. Even during their split, it was clear Green and Fox were still hanging out and getting along, considering Fox announced her pregnancy only a few months after the couple’s supposed break-up. In other words: Just like any two people who end a romance, but still have feelings for each other and/or who got very drunk one night in each other’s presence, the stars had unprotected sex during an alleged break and… bam! Journey was born about nine months later. But it’s all worked out for the best.
