Iconic wrestling personality “Rowdy” Roddy Piper has passed away at the age of 61. Piper – real name, Roderick George Toombs – reportedly passed away from natural causes at his home in Hollywood. Piper was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2006, but he reported that he was cancer-free in November of 2014. Even so, it’s possible that the toll taken by the disease or its treatments may have contributed to Piper’s premature passing. Kicking off his professional career with the American Wrestling Association in 1973, Piper quickly became a favorite villain among fans. As a result of Piper’s showmanship, what was supposed to be a brief stint in the ring turned into a career that would span five decades. He signed with the WWE as a “heel” character in 1983, but after a brief hiatus, fans were so overjoyed by Piper’s return that he quickly took on a hero role. Piper is remembered for his unique choice of attire (his kilt, bagpipe and leather jacket were often sported by fans as tribute), as well as for his natural charisma in the ring. Along with Dusty Rhodes ‘, Piper’s death marks the second major loss suffered by the wrestling world in the past two months. Earlier this week, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away , six months after she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her Atlanta-area home. Bobbi Kristina’s funeral has been scheduled for Monday, but it seems that even though she’s finally at rest, the controversy surrounding the troubled 22-year-old is far from over. Earlier today, we reported that Nick Gordon is begging Bobby Brown to allow him to attend the funeral . Now, it seems other people in Bobbi Kristina’s life are threatening to skip the ceremony due to bizarre arrangements being made by Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston. Radar Online is reporting that Pat is planning a “sweet 16-themed” funeral , and several friends and family members have already expressed their disapproval of the idea. Sources say famed singer and family friend Dionne Warwick has been the most vocal critic, even going so far as to tell Pat that she refuses to attend a funeral with such a macabre theme. “Dionne is planning a trip and threatening to not attend the funeral,” says one insider. “Pat Houston is taking over even though she should be making decisions with Bobby, and not doing it on her own.” Warwick has reportedly slammed the idea as “stupid and disrespectful to Bobbi Kristina,” but sources say Pat is insisting on the theme due to a conversation she once had with Krissi, in which the deceased daughter of Whitney expressed her regret over never having a traditional sweet 16 party. The scandal surrounding Cecil the Lion is not going away any time soon. As a quick refresher: a Minnesota dentist named Dr. Walter Palmer has admitted to paying $50,000 in order to hunt down a lion in Africa earlier this month. Turns out, the lion was internationally-known and protected and it was against the law to kill him. Palmer has since come under major fire, with folks protesting outside his office in Minnesota and Jimmy Kimmel even breaking down while calling Palmer some very bad names. In a letter to patient (while his practice remains closed for the foreseeable future), Palmer said he believed his hunt was 100% legal and he “had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt.” He adds: “Again, I deeply regret that my pursuit of an activity I love and practice responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion. That was never my intention.” As you might expect, though, this explanation does not sit well with PETA, which has released a statement of its own to E! News. It reads: “Hunting is a coward’s pastime. If, as has been reported, this dentist and his guides lured Cecil out of the park with food so as to shoot him on private property, because shooting him in the park would have been illegal, he needs to be extradited, charged, and, preferably, hanged.” PETA President Ingrid Newkirk concludes: To get a thrill at the cost of a life, this man gunned down a beloved lion, Cecil with a high-powered weapon. All wild animals are beloved by their own mates and infants, but to hunters like this overblown, over-privileged little man, who lack empathy, understanding, and respect for living creatures, they are merely targets to kill, decapitate, and hang up on a wall as a trophy. The photograph of this dentist, smiling over the corpse of another animal, who, like Cecil, wanted only to be left in peace, will disgust every caring soul in the world. We don’t if his famous band will be featured in the Full House sequel series (the imaginatively titled Fuller House ), but we do know that Uncle Jesse is done getting ripped. Actor John Stamos was arrested for DUI last month and cops had mercy (sorry) on the beloved sitcom star by taking him to a hospital instead of jail. Stamos completed rehab last week just in time to begin shooting on Fuller House, and according to sources on set, the 51-year-old perennial heartthrob is already able to laugh at his recent struggles. Apparently, after telling the studio audience about a scene that couldn’t be shot due to the lack of a prop car, Stamos joked, “Well, I have a car – but I can’t drive.” The gag reportedly brought the house down and cast, crew and fans applauded Stamos for having a sense of humor about his his struggles. The actor is reportedly going on six weeks of sobriety and reports that he’s never felt better. Stamos shared the first photos from the Fuller House set on Instagram last week, and from the looks of things, he’s enjoying being back on set with his old co-stars. We’re told the show will address Stamos’ struggles with a very special episode involving Uncle Jesse’s crippling addictions to hair mousse and catchphrases. We kid!

And Teresa blindly believes him, even as her friends tell her that something unsavory is going on,” and insider told Radar Online. “Teresa will always stand by Joe publicly, even to her friends,” the source added. “It’s just a very sad situation because it’s obvious to so many in their circle of friends that Joe is playing her.” One of Teresa’s friends disclosed that after Gia’s middle school graduation in June, Joe spent the evening with a young woman rather than celebrating with his children. “When Joe was done with Gia’s graduation, instead of staying with his family, he took his friend on a date to Rare The Steak House in Little Falls, NJ,” the source claimed. Despite public opinion (and, you know, facts) being against him, Donald Trump has never backed away from his stance that most Mexican immigrants are rapists . Along sort of similar lines, however, Ivana Trump would like to make it clear that she does NOT believe her ex-husband to be a rapist. The Daily Beast came out this week with an article that excerpted parts of a 1993 book titled “Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump.” In this biography, author Harry Hurt III writes of how Ivana told friends about an incident in which Donald, her husband from 1977 through 1992, “raped” her. According to the book, Donald Trump came home after a failed scalp procedure, angry that the doctor Ivana recommended performed in such a shoddy manner. Trump allegedly held back Ivana’s arms… pulled out “fistfuls of hair” and… then: “He jams his penis inside her for the first time in more than sixteen months. Ivana is terrified… It is a violent assault,” Hurt writes. “According to versions she repeats to some of her closest confidantes, ‘he raped me.’” With this claim having gone viral, Ivana Trump released a statement to CNN this morning that reads: I have recently read some comments attributed to me from nearly 30 years ago at a time of very high tension during my divorce from Donald. The family is asking for contributions so the kids can use their cell phone camera to post more videos of themselves playing basketball and going to the dentist. The disgraced family has a history of money grubbing. Jill Duggar and Deryck Dillard asked fans for financial support for their first long-term mission trip. The request for donations was not well received and drew criticism from the media when they refused to disclose how the money would be spent. It isn’t surprising that the Duggars are begging for money. Their main source of income was 19 Kids and Counting .
