Amy Schumer on Mass Shootings: Enough is Enough!

Amy Schumer has said she thinks about the two movie goers who died in Louisiana while watching her film, Trainwreck , on a daily basis. And now she's trying to do something that ensures no one will ever need to think about victims such as this ever again. Together with New York Senator Chuck Schumer, the comedian held a press conference on Monday that unveiled a three-part plan aimed at making it more difficult for violent criminals and the mentally ill to obtain guns. “We're here today to say enough is enough to mass shootings,” Schumer told reporters. According to The Associated Press, the proposed legislation would create financial rewards for states that submit all required records to the background check system. In turn, states that do not take this step would be face a punishment. The plan also calls on Congress to preserve mental-health funding and substance-abuse programs. On July 23, two were left dead and nine injured after a gunman opened fire during a screening of Trainwreck .

Farrah Abraham Defends $600 Tooth Fairy Gift: Loosing [Sic] Your Teeth = COLLEGE FUND!

Never one to mince words or duck criticism, Farrah Abraham is defending her recent decision to give her daughter $600 from the tooth fairy . Her response to the haters is pure, uncut Farrah. The Teen Mom star says of her generous gift: “Loosing [sic] your teeth should be special, I like to add passion and something special to everything including loosing [sigh, sic] teeth.” “These years are flying bye [sic] and soon $600 won’t be surprising to my daughter and the tooth fairy will just be imaginary and made up.” “So $600 for one tooth is a great addition to her college fund and let’s [SIC] her have a big surprise when she woke up that morning.” “You’re only a kid once! I look forward to surprising my daughter and cherishing our special moments as she grows up into an adult.” Well, there you go. At least she’s honest. Yes, the years fly bye (sorry) and we never want to loose (sorry again) our innocent children to the inevitable adolescent and teen years. And while her desire to ” add passion and something special ” does not necessarily have to mean money, her heart is (probably) in the right place. Moreover, if that money really going toward Sophia’s college fund … we have no clue why she took out $100 bills first, but more power to her. However … does she really think Sophia will soon (or ever) hit a point where getting $600 for doing absolutely nothing wouldn’t be a surprise? If so, well, that’s Farrah Abraham for you.

Chelsea Handler Posts Bikini Pic, DESTROYS Fat-Shaming Ex

Chelsea Handler has officially silenced her haters – one fat-shaming ex-boyfriend in particular – with an awesome bikini photo on social media. Handler’s photo, from in a changing room and in a tiny two-piece bikini showing off her toned figure and her smile, was a parting shot of sorts. “You know, I had a boyfriend who told me my boobs were too big and that I was fat,” she captioned the pic. “And then, I looked in the mirror.” Served. Handler did not mention which ex told her this, but we’re really hoping it was 50 Cent. Please, let that rumor we’re starting right now be true. We see Chelsea Handler nude on a regular basis on Instagram, and went she went stark naked with Nick Offerman for a recent Esquire cover. “I love men,” said the currently single star. “I have men around all the time, but you have to have somebody that brings out the best in you.” “I’ve never met somebody that really brings out the best in me. I want to bring out the best in them. You don’t want it to be a one-way street.” No. But whatever the 40-year-old is doing right now is obviously serving her quite well, and good things come to those who wait … or something.

Eminem Opens Up About Drug Addiction, Massive Weight Gain

Last we heard from Eminem, he was doing what he does best: eviscerating pop cultural figures ranging from Donald Trump to Bill Cosby in an epic, six-minute freestyle. These days, we take it for granted that Slim Shady will be around pissing people off and stirring up controversy for several decades to come, but the future wasn’t always so certain for the 42-year-old rapper. In the new issue of Men’s Health magazine, Em opens up about his weight struggles and the drug addiction that nearly cost him his life. “In 2007, I overdosed on pills, and I went into the hospital,” says the emcee born Marshall Mathers. “I was close to 230 pounds. I’m not sure how I got so big, but I have ideas. The coating on the Vicodin and the Valium I’d been taking for years leaves a hole in your stomach, so to avoid a stomachache, I was constantly eating — and eating badly.”  After nearly dying from the overdose, Em says he focused on his daughter and sobered up…and proceeded to go way overboard in his efforts to lose weight: “I think I got a little carried away. I became a f–king hamster. Seventeen miles a day on a treadmill….I started getting OCD about the calories, making sure I burned 2,000 every day. “In the end I got down to about 149 pounds. I ran to the point where I started to get injured. All the constant pounding from the running began to tear up my hip flexors.”  Wow, we never knew Em was such an intense dude. Just kidding, he’s basically a throbbing forehead vein come to life. Anyway, he says he’s now found a healthy balance and learned to cool it on the obsessive running in favor of weight training and workout programs like P90X. We couldn’t be happier to hear it. We know Eminem idolizes Tupac and a number of other rappers who checked out before their time, but unlike so many hip hop icons before him, it looks Shady will be around to cash in on his own greatest hits albums.

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale: It’s Over!

Moments ago, TMZ reported that Gwen Stefani has filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale. Sources say Stefani cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking joint custody of the couple’s three children. There is reportedly no prenup, so the split will be subject to California’s 50/50 community property law. Given the length of the marriage and the fact that Stefani’s net worth is reportedly twice that of her husband’s Rossdale will likely come out on top. According to the documents she filed today, Gwen is already seeking to deny Gavin spousal support. Rumors of Rossdale cheating on Stefani have been circulating for years, but Gwen made no mention of infidelity in her divorce petition. The split comes as something of a shock, as Stefani welcomed the couple’s third child  just last year. Shortly thereafter, Stefani and Rossdale celebrated their 12th anniversary  by posting a throwback photo celebrating their time together. The couple has issued a joint statement that reads: “While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.” Story developing. Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth: Headed For Divorce?!

Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth are in the midst of a rough patch that may end in their divorce, according to a new report. Sources allege that Jim Toth apparently frequents a local bar right by the couple’s home on a daily basis, and does so in sloppy fashion . One witness says, “Jim is a big fan of happy-hour drinks. He comes in several times a week to watch whatever sports game is on TV.” Innocent? Maybe, but “staff members roll their eyes,” the insider says, “as soon as he walks in because they know what is coming.” The typical scenario: Jim drinks multiple beers, mixed drinks, and shots until he is belligerent, and then he begins shouting at the TV. Not only does Jim “not want to go home,” but on more than one occasion he has tried to “chat up” girls at the bar, witnesses say. Luckily for Reese, the women usually dismiss him, even leaving the bar just to get away from him. But yeah, this does not bode well. Rumors have been floating around about Reese Witherspoon’s marriage for some time, beginning with Jim and Reese’s DUI arrest . Could Reese Witherspoon be headed for another divorce if Toth doesn’t clean up his act fast? Or is this all just tabloid nonsense?

Little Girl Meets Queen, Get Smacked in Face by Soldier

Six-year old Maisie Gregory got the experience of a lifetime this summer. Actually… two experiences of a lifetime. First, she was selected to continue a regimental tradition that included donning a traditional Welsh dress while handing a posy of flowers to the Queen. Second, she got smacked in the face by the salute of a nearby soldier immediately after meeting Her Royal Highness. A local reporter captured the unfortunate incident on camera, which was not witnessed by the Queen.  But it did result in tears flowing down the injured face of little Maisie, who her mother later on confirmed did not suffer any real damage as a result of the accident. And the soldier did at least notice and quickly comfort the child. So it's okay to laugh, people. No one got seriously hurt here… and Gregory became a viral sensation!

Britney Spears to Remain Under Conservatorship For LIFE

Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship for seven years plus, and it looks like the status quo may continue for the rest of her life. This isn’t a bad thing. There are just no plans to end the conservatorship, in the short or long term, and no one involved is complaining. A quick refresher: Britney was in a bad place throughout 2007 and into 2008, when she was hospitalized under a psychiatric hold. Her father, Jamie Spears, went to court to seek a conservatorship, giving him control over her financial, medical and legal decisions. That sounds like an ominous power play, but by all accounts, Jamie saved her life in the short term, and she’s thriving now thanks to him. Jamie Spears and Britney’s doctors stabilized her to the point where she scored a successful comeback album and Vegas residency. Her yearly income is well into the eight figures, which would not have been possible had Jamie and his team not righted the ship. More importantly, she maintains a robust personal life (bad breakups aside) that is her own and is by any standard a great parent. As Britney sees it, she has “substantial day-to-day freedom” and is more than content to let her father help with her finances, etc. Thus, Team Spears’ plan is to continue the conservatorship indefinitely … because it has gotten it done, and why fix what ain’t broke?

Bobbi Kristina Brown Death Photo: Shopped Around at Funeral?!

On Saturday, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral turned into yet another family feud, and it could be far from over if this report is to be believed. Leolah Brown to Pat Houston: You’re Going DOWN! Fans of the late Whitney Houston may recall rumors of the Houstons snapping and shopping a so-called “death photo” at her 2012 funeral. Fast forward three years to Bobbi Kristina meeting a similarly tragic end and the Browns fearing a repeat performance may have occurred. The Browns were outraged that a photo of Whitney Houston’s body, in her casket, was taken and ended up on the cover of a magazine. As for why they blame her side of the family? The Browns were persona non grata at the service , so they do have a point in that regard. Sources say the Brown family planned to band together and stand guard so that a Bobbi Kristina Brown death photo did not circulate. Their eyes were firmly trained on the Houstons, especially Pat Houston, who was in charge of managing the funeral outside Atlanta. All signs pointed toward this already sad occasion turning ugly, and fast – which is pretty much how it played out to say the least. Bobbi Kristina’s paternal aunt, Leolah Brown , was KICKED OUT OF THE SERVICE following a bizarre outburst at Pat Houston. As Pat Houston was getting ready to speak, Leolah reportedly stood up and shouted at her, “Pat, you know you are wrong for this!” She was swiftly escorted from the church by security. “I told her that Whitney is going to haunt her from the grave,” Leolah told the press, which had assembled outside the memorial event. Leolah was asked if she thought Bobbi Kristina’s death would signal the end of the feud between the Browns and Houstons families. “It’s just getting started,” she said. Game (sadly) on.

Ted Nugent on Cecil: Lions Are a Renewable Resource! God You People Are Stupid!

Suffice it to say, Ted Nugent is not among those lighting a candle for the late Cecil the Lion. Instead, he is lighting the Internet on fire. In response to those crushed by the creature’s death – and the man responsible, Walter Palmer – Nugent unleashed an epic Facebook tirade. “The whole story is a lie,” writes the rocker. “It was a wild lion from a ‘park’ where hunting is legal & ESSENTIAL beyond the park borders.” “All animals reproduce every year & would run out of room/food to live w/o hunting,” adds Ted . “I will write a full piece on this joke asap.” “God are people stupid.” Ted’s statement would be true if he were speaking about white-tailed deer in Michigan, but applying it to endangered wild cats of Africa is a stretch. Walter Palmer didn’t merely rile up Twitter by hunting Cecil, he violated laws of Zimbabwe and is cooperating with an investigation as a result. Nonplussed, avid hunter Ted claims that this country’s president eats baby elephant, thus, “Zimbabwe has their own black devil tyrant. Sucks dont it.” We are at a loss for words at this point. Pivoting back to Cecil, he ranted, “Cecil, the other white meat. Lion’s lives matter? Bulls—. Only if they are disrespected with a human name.” “Black lives matter? Bulls—.” “Apparently not in Chicago Detroit LA DC Philly Compton South Central etc etc where they are slaughtered daily with no one giving a good goddam.” “Sick dishonest hypocrite society PC from hell,” Nugent, 66, concluded with this parting shot. “Lions are a renewable resource. Go back to sleep.” As of this report, Ted has yet to pen another missive about the killing of Cecil’s brother Jericho by poachers … but it’s still early Sunday morning.
