Amanda Bynes: I’m Not Crazy! I’m Gorgeous and Retired!

When Amanda Bynes was arrested for DUI earlier this week, many took it as a sure sign that she was about embark on another funny/sad downward spiral of drug-fueled insanity. The fact Bynes’ parents didn’t know where she was in the days following her arrest was also not a great sign. But the surest indication of all that we’re in for another Amanda meltdown is the fact that she’s tweeting again. Or rather, “Ashley Banks” – which is believed to be Amanda’s online alias – is tweeting again. So how do we know Ashley is Amanda’s alter-ego? Well, as you may have guessed, she’s not that great at keeping secrets: When TMZ tweeted recently that Bynes had been kicked out of fashion school for excessive partying and erratic behavior, “Ashley” immediately replied, “@TMZ I WAS NEVER KICKED OUT!” Like we said, James Bond, she ain’t. But believe it or not, that’s far from the funniest Twitter gem that “Ashley” has dropped in the days since Amanda’s arrest. Some highlights: “I’m way too gorgeous and talented to be taking verbal abuse from complete strangers.” “Don’t let my parents lie to you or speak for me! I’m 28 years old and retired!” “I don’t abuse drugs. I’m not crazy. I never quit school. Apparently its illegal to rake scripts from your OWN doctor!” Obviously, Ashley Banks could be someone simply pretending to be Amanda, but if that’s the case, the person responsible does an amazing job of impersonating Amanda’s crazy talk. 45 Seriously OMG WTF Amanda Bynes Photos 1. Vicki Gunvalson & Brooks Ayers: More Dirty Laundry to Come as Judge Unseals Court Docs

It looks like even more of Vicki Gunvalson’s dirty laundry is about to become public as a judge refused to seal documents related to a recent lawsuit. The Real Housewives of Orange County star and her controversial boyfriend Brooks Ayers are embroiled in a legal dispute over Vicki’s vodka line. The duo sought a protective order preventing “confidential, propriety, or private information” from being exposed in court, but their request was denied. Vicki argued that the two “are celebrities, and tabloids and other news media have shown an interest in publishing information about their lives.” In fact, she argues regarding items such as the video of Brooks Ayers admitting he cheated on Vicki with hookers, some of that stuff is already out there. The Bravo stars tried hard to protect “all items or information that are produced or generated in disclosures or responses to discovery in this matter.” U.S. Magistrate Judge George Foley Jr. shut down the twosome’s request, claiming they didn’t adequately prove the material needed to stay private. Gunvalson pulled the plug on her Vicki’s Vodka brand amid the legal battling that has seen both her name and Brooks’ dragged through the mud. Vicki has stood by Brooks despite of his alleged history of violence and other seedy activities, while he claims that all of this was a long time ago . If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online , you know her co-stars aren’t fans of his, and we can’t imagine this will help his cause. 21 Real Housewives Feuds For the Ages 21. Chris Brown on Gang Relations: I’m Not Affiliated! Just Cordial!

Is legally and emotionally troubled R&B singer Chris Brown affiliated with a gang? Specifically the notorious L.A. street toughs known as the Bloods? Not as he sees it … but he does have “relationships” with these miscreants. Chris Brown on Gangs: It’s All Cordial! Brown’s relationship with the Bloods in Los Angeles is causing his mother and girlfriend to worry that it may literally be the end of him, as reported earlier. Chris tells MTV, though, that he’s not “involved” for all intents and purposes. “When you’re in L.A. and you’re around people, you meet everybody …. you meet Crips, you meet Bloods, especially in this industry that I’m in,” he says. “I’m not in the country world, I’m not in the all-the-way pop world.” Brown reiterates, “[When] you’re in hip-hop, all of that meshes.” It’s unclear how the simply being in hip-hop goes hand-in-hand with assassination attempts on Brown , but he sees it as par for the course, evidently. His mom, Joyce Hawkins, and girlfriend Karreuche don’t agree to say the least. The women have reportedly asked his therapist – whom Brown praised, in response to the Ray Rice video – to advise him against these circles of friends. Chris Brown Thugs Out with the Jenners 1. Everywhere Chris goes, violence follows; LAPD officers have even (quietly) tried to get clubs to turn away the star and his posse, given his history. Breezy doesn’t see his situation as problematic in the least, though. “I’m cordial,” he said of his “relationships” with gang members. He says he’s not “affiliated,” and technically this is true, even if sources say he hangs around or even employs people who are actual, full-on Bloods. In his mind, these are different things, even as people get shot and stabbed at his shows. Just ’cause he hangs with them doesn’t mean he’s one of them. Amanda Bynes Arrested for DUI; Actress High on Unspecified Drug

Amanda Bynes has been through her fair share of trouble in the past, but the former child star has seemed to be on the mend in recent months. Or so it appeared until the surprising events of last night, which saw her arrested  on a DUI charge, having been out of the public eye for months. After a very public meltdown during which Bynes was admitted to a psychiatric ward , the actress seemed to recover almost miraculously last year. Reportedly committed to getting her life and career back on track, she has stayed out of the spotlight, returned to school and pulled it together. A big reason for that has been her sobriety, and remaining committed to that. Bynes quit smoking pot (which was said to be a trigger for some of her most severe episodes of paranoia), and managed to stay out of the tabloid headlines. Until last night, that is, after Bynes was pulled over while driving in the San Fernando Valley and promptly arrested by a highway patrol officer. She was taken to the nearest police station, where a drug identification officer assessed her appearance and behavior and determined that Bynes was under the influence. 45 Seriously OMG WTF Amanda Bynes Photos 1. What she was using is unclear, but reports say she was high on a narcotic, and it’s been widely speculated that Bynes has returned to smoking week. To many, that sounds rather harmless considering some of the substances, or combinations of substances, that fuel a lot of Hollywood downfalls. Given Bynes’ fragile mental state and history, though, even a little bit of pot could end up being far more dangerous for her than for the average recreational user. The 28-year-old actress was released on $15,000 bail and returned to her parents’ home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., where she currently lives. The arrest may result in serious legal problems as Amanda is still on probation from a previous DUI arrest , but that remains to be seen as of now. Kendall Jenner and Moises Arias: Dating?!

You probably best remember Moises Arias from the Willow Smith photo controversy a few months back. It was pretty creepy stuff and it even led to Will and Jada Smith being investigated by child protective services . No charges were filed, but we imagine these days the Smiths keep a closer eye on their kids’ social networking accounts, and we hope that if Arias shows his face around their home Will promptly tosses him out the front door a la Uncle Phil and DJ Jazzy Jeff. But while there was hopefully some tightening of the rules and a discussion or two about age appropriateness in the Smith household, Arias himself clearly didn’t learn a thing from the whole debacle. In fact, he still enjoys posting highly questionable photos of online such as nude selfies and topless pics of Kendall Jenner . Yes, Kendall is clearly his muse these days and she posted the above photo (the one on the left, thank God), with a caption about how Arias is the only one who “brings this out” in her. Yeah, add that to the fact that his personal website contains photos of Kendall in various states of undress rocking marker tattoos (that Arias presumably drew) and it’s looking like we have a love connection. Or at least a very, very close friendship. Gotham Season 2 Episode 2 Recap: The Kids Are Not Alright

We met the mother on  Gotham Season 2 Episode 2 . Veteran actress Carol Kane stopped by the new Fox hit as the mother of The Penguin Oswald Cobblepot, making the character every bit as eccentric as one would expect from the woman who brought this young villain into the world. We also watched as Cobblepot hitched a ride into the country with a couple unfortunate teenagers who made the mistake of referring to him by a certain nickname, but make no mistake: he isn’t running away from Gotham. He’s settling into a trailer (for $100 per month) and plotting his return and his revenge against all who have wronged him. And that’s a very long list. But the crux of this installment was on a different villain-to-be, as Selina Kyle and the kids of Gotham took center stage. Mostly ignored by the adults in this decaying city, many homeless youth are being snatched up by those involved in some kind of child-trafficking plot, as they pack up the kidnapped children and ship them off to… who knows where?!? Who wants to know where, really. Kyle exerts her independence and her maturity throughout the episode, as Gordon and Bullock eventually track down the culprits (after literally coming to blows inside the police station) and the Mayor shows some dark colors of his own. In order to clean up the streets, he orders the kids to be sent upstate to juvenile detention. Gordon confronts him about this decision, but he gets nowhere. To close the episode, however, Kyle gets somewhere with Gordon: she beckons him over and asks for a deal. Will he help her NOT be sent upstate in exchange for the information she can provide? That information? Selina says she witnessed the murders of the Wayne parents and can pick out the shooter. The episode cut to black on that statement, but also worth noting is an earlier scene between Fish Mooney and Carmine Falcone. The latter clearly is hip to the former’s plan to try and take him down, beating up Mooney’s lover as a way of proving his dominance. We later see Fish complaining to Butch, still intent on rising to the top rank at some point. She wants to kill Falcone with her bare bands. Isn’t it always fun when the bad guys themselves don’t get along? It adds some layers and some shades of grey to the overall product. What did everyone else think of this follow-up episode? Chelsea Clinton Baby Photos: First Adorable Look!

The First Grandchild has arrived! As previously reported,  Chelsea Clinton welcomed her first baby into the world on Friday, a daughter she and husband Marc Mezvinsky named Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky. The couple confirmed the blessed event via statement. The following day, meanwhile, Chelsea Tweeted how she’s so “in love” with the newborn alrady and also shared a photo of the parents admiring their creation: But that wasn’t all. Grandparents Bill and Hillary Clinton echoed Chelsea’s sentiment – that she’s “in awe gratitude” over Charlotte, by mimicking Chelsea and Marc’s pose in their own adorable baby photos. You’ve never seen former Secrety of State and former President quite like this before: We are blessed, grateful, and so happy to be the grandparents of a beautiful girl,” the Clintons said in their own statement yesterday. “We are thrilled to be with our daughter and her husband as they welcome their daughter into the world. Chelsea is well and glowing. Marc is bursting with pride. Charlotte’s life is off to a good start.” Now, Hillary, about the 2016 Presidential election … okay, nevermind. Sorry. American Beauty Cast: Where Are They Now?

Last week marked the 15th anniversary of the release of American Beauty . The film would go on to gross over $350 million and win five Academy Awards including Best Picture. American Beauty Cast: Then and Now 1. Kevin Spacey Spacey won his second Oscar for American Beauty and remains one of the most esteemed actors in Hollywood. He currently stars in the Netflix series House of Cards. Beauty was widely considered to be among the best of the ’90s, but years since have seen a critical reappraisal of the the film, with the term “overrated” being tossed about a good deal.  Recently, even the film’s director Sam Mendes confessed that he considered Beauty to be “over-praised” when it first hit theaters in 1999. Even so, Beauty has retained an incredible level of cultish adoration and seems poised to be the sort of movie that will find an audience amongst disaffected teens and bored, middle-aged suburbanites for generations to come The film’s cast has experienced its own share of ups and downs, with some actors going on to A-list success, others fading into an obscurity, and at least one achieving a remarkable comeback. Wes Bentley’s role in The Hunger Games may not have been the most memorable part of the film, but to those who followed his career as he went from Beauty ‘s brooding neighbor to washed-up addict deemed unworthy even of tabloid coverage, his return to the big screen was nothing short of miraculous. While Bentley’s remarkable resurgence is impressive to say the least, the film’s greatest success story remains the career of Kevin Spacey. Spacey was already an Oscar winner when he took on the role of walking midlife crisis Lester Burnham (he’d take home his second statuette for Beauty ).  But even with his previous accolades, few could have predicted the sort of versatility and enduring popularity that Spacey would come to embody. These days, of course, Spacey is drawing raves for his role in the Netflix series House of Cards . It’s a role that would be hard to imagine him in if you knew Spacey only as the meek Mr. Burnham, and it’s attracted an audience using technology that didn’t exist at the time Lester’s meltdown. Needless to say, while Lester was attempting to relive the past, Spacey has clearly spent his career looking to the future. And it’s certainly paid off.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: BOOED in Paris!

This has not been a week to remember for Kim Kardashian in Paris. Or, actually, we suppose it definitely has been. But for all the wrong reasons. First, Kardashian was attacked by some idiot prankster who tried to tackle the star to the ground, only for the Paris police to react with total indifference . Then, Kim and Kanye West entered the Lanvin show in Paris several minutes late last night, only to hear boos rain down upon them as they made their way to their front row seats Just how bad and noticeable was it? Even E! News ran the story and accompanying video. Not even Kim’s very own network could spin this in a positive manner! Kanye West and Kim Kardashian: Booed in Paris! Why did the crowd give the couple such an angry greeting? Not due to Kim’s outfit, that’s for sure. At least not if you were a male in attendance. Look at this item of clothing… or lackthereof! The outspoken rapper heard the reaction and immediately walked over to confront the displeased guests, telling them as some kind of reassurance: “[Designer] Alber [Elbaz] asked to see us, don’t boo us. We’re not late, we’re not late.” Kanye himself isn’t very popular either these days. Did you catch this diabled child’s T-shirt aimed in the artist’s direction? It’s amazing.
