Miley Cyrus Tweets Post-Birthday Selfies, Loves Her Dog So Effin Much

Miley Cyrus turned 21 yesterday. So we can’t really blame the artist for lounging around in bed this morning. We’re guessing she had quite the legal night! Cyrus posted a handful of selfless to Twitter today, two of which included her adorable dogs. She captioned one image “perfect start to a perfect day” and added of another, in reference to a pooch: “I love him soooo f–king much I can’t stand it.” It’s unclear just how Miley celebrated her milestone, but fans dropped off balloons and flowers in front of her home in honor of the occasion. Unfortunately, the weekend got off to a very rough start for the birthday gal, as her home was burglarized Friday afternoon. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Miley will perform tonight at the American Music Awards and then host a private bash at the theater of Beacher’s Madhouse in Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel later in the week. Miley Cyrus Birthday Tribute

Katie Couric to Leave NBC, Join Yahoo News?

Has Katie Couric, who signed a deal three years ago for her daytime talk show, Katie , and a role at ABC News, already signed a new deal with Yahoo? According to reports, she has, although no details have been released just yet on what the former Today superstar will be doing with the company. Katie Couric-Yahoo Report Despite its low ratings, her talk show could still press on, considering that the syndicated program was separate from her deal with ABC News. Although the network declined comment, an exec reportedly told THR, “Katie is an incredible journalist and this was an opportunity that she couldn’t pass up.” “Thanks to the powerful association between ABC and Yahoo we know that Katie will continue to work closely with us and welcome her on our air anytime.” Similar rumors flew earlier this year that the 56-year-old was gearing up for a move from ABC over to CNN, which she shot down this summer. “No, no, no. Honestly, slow news day?” Couric said. “I’m very busy and having a lot of fun … the whole world is about gossip and rumors and speculation.” “I’m very, very focused on doing the best show I can do every single day.” The move to Yahoo appears to be imminent, albeit unconfirmed. “She wants to do more substantial news coverage and realizes she can’t on Katie,” a source close to Couric told E! News. “It’s a different audience.” Her Yahoo programming will probably launch early next year.

Amy Robach Pens Thank You Note to Fans, Says Prognosis is "Good"

About three weeks after being diagnosed with breast cancer , Amy Robach posted an open letter to fans on the Good Morning America website yesterday. The reporter unfortunately said physicians have found a second malignancy, but added that her “prognosis is good” and she remains in positive spirits overall. “Physically and emotionally I have been through the ringer, but I am emerging on the other side so much stronger. I have a greater appreciation for life, for health and for how such simple acts of kindness can be so incredibly powerful,” the 40-year-old wrote. “I am looking through a different lens now…and I am thankful for that as well. There was my life before October 30th and now my life after.” Robach, the wife of actor Andrew Shue, actually found out about the lump in her breast via an ABC-sponsored mammogram and hopes to return to work on December 2. “My cancer had spread to my sentinel lymph node, but not beyond, so I will have more treatments ahead of me, but none that will take me out of work,” she says. Amy then concluded her note with a message to supporters. “I couldn’t be more excited to get back to work,” she wrote. “Your support and love has made this all an experience that has given me the strength to fight the fear and hopefully help others do the same in the days/weeks/years to come!” We wish Robach nothing but the best.

Woman Puts Puppy in Bag, Posts Facebook Photo, Gets Arrested

An Albuquerque, N.M., woman put her puppy in a Ziploc bag and held it up for the camera, in an attempt to show Facebook friends how small the dog is. We know, we can’t believe it either … that someone would really do that, that she’d be stupid enough to post it online, or that this person has any friends. Puppy in Bag Photo Gets Woman Arrested Mary Snell, 44, and her son, Britton James Engel, 21, were both arrested in Bernalillo County last week once a tipster alerted police to the photo, CNN reports. Engel allegedly took the photo of Snell holding up the the eight-week-old Chihuahua, named Baby, in the bag, which was just big enough to envelop it. She later told reporters that she realized this stunt was wrong , but, well, she “couldn’t get the little guy to hold still any other way,” according to KRQE-TV. Deputies said that the position of the poor puppy – face and nose pressed up against the sides of the bag – could have easily deprived it of oxygen. Both Engel and Snell were charged with felony animal cruelty. Baby is doing fine and, thank goodness, now lives with another family member. See the original pic after the jump:

Break out the bong, raise a glass and get ready to twerk, THGers: Miley Cyrus turns 21 years old Saturday! Happy birthday, Miley! Miley Cyrus Birthday Tribute The singer, who hasn’t exactly been shy about her love for booze or pot, is celebrating the milestone by hosting a marathon of Miley-themed programming on MTV. During the day, that is. Tonight? That, we can only imagine. Will she bleach her eyebrows some more? Take a lot/all of clothing off? Stick out her tongue in a series of strange Instagram pics? Twerk? All of the above. Whatever goes down, we’re sure Cyrus will keep fans apprised. Stay tuned to her Twitter. Until then, simply join us in wishing this controversial superstar a very happy 21st birthday. Let’s hope she parties safely and smartly. Or at the very least safely. The latter might be a stretch …

Kendall Jenner Lands New Modeling Contract: Thank You, Nipples!

Kendall Jenner has landed a new modeling job. And she has her nipples to thank for it. A few days after shocking the world with an especially racy photo , one that depicts the 18-year old in a see-through shirt, Jenner has signed a new modeling contract with The Society Management, a New York-based branch of Elite World. Kendall Jenner Nipples The deal came about , according to E! News, because photographer Russell James tagged that company when he posted the picture on Instagram. From there, it didn’t take long for Jenner to sign with the agency. The nipple-based image caused quite an online uproar, promoting Khloe Kardashian to come out with a passionate defense of her half-sister. “Gorgeous @KendallJenner!!! High fashion! Model your booty off and show them how its done!!! Major Model Moment!,” Khloe Tweeted soon after the photo went live, later adding a bit creepily: “I love seeing all of these haters comments. Naomi, Kate, Cindy…. All fabulous models…. Models and photographers take beautiful (1)…Artistic images. And I don’t hear you birds chirp then. Sit down and enjoy the view!” Okay, Khloe. Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried Post Sweet Proposal Photo, Make Us Eat Our Words?

Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried sometimes try too hard, but in posting this cute pic from the day they got engaged in Antigua, they showed us. The Bachelorette posted on Twitter, “This Seattle rain makes me want to go back to Antigua for the sun! And it’s such a special place. #whereChrisProposed” At first glance, it appears like yet another classic Desiree move seemingly concocted to remind us they’re still together and to STEP OFF HATERS. We know he proposed there, even though the spoilers had it wrong (speaking of which, check out The Bachelor spoilers for 2014). Move on, girl. Upon second look, though, Des and Chris look so happy, content and normal in this photo. Relaxed, over the moon, in love. No trying too hard there. It’s true that the opportunities and recognition that come with The Bachelorette are nice perks … and headaches, when the tabloids turn on you. But in the end, it’s clear they’re in heaven just being together, even if they’re reportedly pushing for a TV wedding a la Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici . Des and Chris might just make it work long-term. If they can forget about the fame, and the critics whose opinions don’t matter, they’ll be in good shape. After Gunnar writes a hit duet with an assist from Scarlett, Rayna performs it on stage with Luke and uses the performance as leverage in her feud with Jeff. Elsewhere, Avery, ever the good friend, helped Juliette deal with the Wentworths and the surprising situation she found herself in at the end of last week. Kendall Jenner to Pose with Kim and Khloe in Playboy?!?

Over the last few days, members of Reality Television’s First Family have gotten even more naked than usual. There’s been a Kendall Jenner nipples sighting via Instagram, while Kim Kardashian is topless in her fiancee’s latest music video. Might this not be a coincidence? Might Kendall and Kim be giving fans a tease of something very special (and naked!) to come? A panelist on VH1’s “The Gossip Table” claims that Kendall, Kim and Khloe Kardashian are discussing the possibility of posing for Playboy. All at once. Together. In the same spread. There doesn’t seem to be much evidence to back this allegation up, except that Kendall has said many times she wants to follow in the path of her sister and Kim has said she wants to do Playboy again . And Khloe did one pose naked for PETA, so she isn’t adverse to taking her clothes off in front of the camera. But still. Three nude sisters in one pictorial?
