A Naples, Florida resident is under arrest today after his mother called the authorities to report that her son was keeping a baby alligator in her bathtub. Sean Lewis, 45, was reportedly keeping an eye on the creature for a friend and created his own little aquarium in the bathroom, replete with a cinderblock for the animal to lie on and a lightbulb to serve as the sun. After several days, however, Sean’s mother grew irritated by the unwelcome guest and called 911 to have her kid booked on charges of alligator poaching. A man was found dead at Olivia Newton-John’s Florida home earlier this week. Police believe that Christopher Pariseleti died of suicide, having shot himself. Man Found Dead at Home of Olivia Newton-John The Jupiter Police Department said in a statement: “Subsequent to an autopsy this morning … it was determined Tequesta resident, Christopher Pariseleti, died as the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.” “This case investigation has been classified as a suicide and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Pariseleti.” It was on Monday when Jupiter, Fla., police were first called to a residence belonging to the legendary actress-singer and husband John Easterling. Police found 42-year-old male who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound . At the time, the deceased’s name and cause of death were not released. However, Jupiter Police Department officials did confirm that the man had been hired as a contractor by Olivia Newton-John and John Easterling. “Olivia and her husband John are in shock over the tragic event that occurred at their Florida home yesterday,” the couple’s publicist said in a statement. “At this time we are awaiting additional information, but can confirm that the couple was not in Florida at the time and the deceased was not a family member.”
Elmore Leonard, the beloved writer behind numerous books and short stories that have been turned into Hollywood fare, passed away today at his home in Detroit. He was 87 years old. The author suffered a stroke three weeks ago and his death was confirmed this morning by his researcher via the following Facebook message: “The post I dreaded to write, and you dreaded to read. Elmore passed away at 7:15 this morning from complications from his stroke.” “He was at home surrounded by his loving family.” Among Elmore Leonard’s writings that have been turned into television shows or movies are: Out of Sight , Be Cool , 3:10 to Yuma and Justified . Leonard was born in New Orleans but has resided in Detroit for the past 34 years. We send our condolences to his friends and family members.

George Shelley, a member of the boy band Union J, told Yahoo! on Sunday that he’s very much in touch with Gomez, telling the site: “We are messaging!” Why might this mean more than mere texts and emails? Because Shelley also recently admitted that he has feelings for Bieber’s ex, telling the world: “I’ve got an undying crush on her. It’s the whole Disney thing. I love her.” Selena reportedly responded to such kind words by telling Shelley to call her, which he did. Randy Jackson feels his niece, Paris Jackson, may be unreasonably confined in a psychiatric hospital, but her mother, Debbie Rowe , has a different take on it. Rowe hit back after Jackson weighed in on Twitter, writing about Paris. He wrote, “I just hate the fact that [Paris] will probably still be there, away from her family, on my brother’s birthday.” Randy adds, “She is not psychotic.” “There is no reason for her to be in a psychiatric hospital this long.” Debbie Rowe is livid at Randy, who she says has no clue what he’s even talking about, and that Paris is not in a psychiatric hospital a la Amanda Bynes . “As usual, he’s grossly misinformed,” she is quoted as saying of her former brother-in-law. “He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It’s been a good month for Kylie Jenner. The reality star turned 16 on August 10. She then celebrated the occasion with family and friends at Nobu a couple days later.
