Highest Paid Actors: Who Tops the List?

This year’s ” Highest Paid Actors ” list has been released by Forbes and given the monster year Tony Stark had, it’s no surprise that Robert Downey Jr. tops them all. Banking an impressive $75 million is apparently not all that hard to do when your movie rockets to #3 of the highest grossing movies of all time, like  The Avengers did. Now that he’s signed on for more  Iron Man and  Avengers 2 , it won’t be surprising if Robert Downey Jr. makes numerous repeat appearances on this list in the coming years. However, this list teaches us that if you are going to make a movie about being a male stripper, go ahead and do so with a lot of your own money. Channing Tatum came in second to RDJ thanks to  Magic Mike  (just wait for the Magic Mike sequel ) and the fact he and director Steven Soderbergh bankrolled the film on their own. It’s always refreshing when the abs have brains. Rounding out the list were a few surprises, like Mark Wahlberg coming in at number four with $52 million thanks to Ted and Adam Sandler at number six with $37 million, no thanks to  Jack and Jill. Bringing up the rear comes Liam Neeson in the tenth spot with $32 million. Just goes to show, want to bank a fortune? Play a man chasing after his kidnapped family member or some variation on that theme, over and over.

Cory Monteith Cause of Death: Heroin and Alcohol Overdose

An autopsy conducted by medical examiners in Canada shows that Cory Monteith died from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol, reports say. Cory Monteith Cause of Death Explained The British Columbia Coroners Service says an autopsy and toxicological analysis show a ” mixed drug toxicity , involving heroin and alcohol” took his life. The 31-year-old Glee star’s body was discovered by staff members at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in Vancouver, B.C., in the early hours of July 13. Cory Monteith’s death was an absolute shock, but the cause of death is tragically not, given the circumstances, and his ongoing struggle with addiction. He had completed a stint in rehab earlier this year and recently admitted that he began struggling with drugs and alcohol as a young teenager. Reports say he had been leading a double life of sorts, staying focused and sober at work while falling back into old habits back in Canada. R.I.P.

Redneck Heaven Restaurant Barred From Using Body Paint as Waitress’ Tops

Redneck Heaven restaurant finds itself in hot water this week after Lewisville, Texas, banned it from allowing waitresses to wear body paint while serving food. After complaints to police about the waitress’ sexy attire (or lack thereof) at Redneck Heaven, the city council voted to change an ordinance. It is now illegal for women to cover their breasts with just body paint. A woman at Monday night’s council meeting voiced her concerns: “We’re quite shocked to see these young ladies weren’t dressed,” Catherine Holliday said. “They had very scant bottoms on and their tops were painted .” “It’s a restaurant that’s between two family restaurants.” It’s unclear what the “breastaurant’s” reaction will be, but if management wants its staff to keep wearing body paint, it’ll have to apply for a permit. A Sexually Oriented Business permit. Fortunately, while Redneck Heaven patrons may no longer be able to see babes with no clothes, there’s still plenty of options at this meat market. We’re talking about their awesome-sounding burger recipes like a signature “Border Patrol Belt Buster” or “Double-Bubba Pounder” Nolan Ryan Burger.

Injustice DLC Trailer: Introducing Martian Manhunter!

It’s time for a new  Injustice  DLC and this time it’s the alien from Mars himself, Martian Manhunter! In a great gameplay trailer (unlike the  Mad Max gameplay trailer ), we get a chance to see Martian Manhunter fight John Stewart, member of the Green Lantern Corps which is a Green Lantern skin available as well in the DLC. Martian Manhunter Injustice DLC Trailer Looks pretty good right? I’m particularly a fan of the “blink and John Stewart looks around confused” move.  No word yet on when this DLC will drop. Amanda Bynes Says She Feels Like Cancer Patient, Blames Grammar Snafu

Another week, another torrent of drama on Amanda Bynes’ Twitter. After threatening legal action against every celebrity gossip and news outlet reporting a “fake story” about her, she then fired off this eye-popping tweet: “Not having hair makes me feel like a cancer patient.” It didn’t take long for the Tweet to go viral, offense to be taken and the former Nickelodeon star to come clean – with a head-scratching excuse . “Oh my God, let me just be the first to say: I can completely see how offense was taken. I truly apologize for the miscommunication and any and all resulting discomfort or anger.” “I’m not a wretched person with zero sense of perspective or respect for fellow human beings; rather, the actual explanation of my statement is something far more banal.” “No, Arendtites, not ‘banal’ as in ‘the banality of evil’ – banal as in, this was a very stupid grammatical error. What I intended to say was ‘not having hair makes me feel like a cancer: patient.'” “That is, waiting for my hair to grow has made me a more patient person – a trait, in the astrological community, typically associated with those born under the Cancer sign.” ‘I’m actually an Aries (traditional traits: determinedness, ambitiousness, impulsiveness, and, I can now say, inexcusably poor grasp of punctuation.)” “Not having your forgiveness makes me feel like I should have Aids.” “Christ, I’ve done it again. I meant: not having your forgiveness makes me feel like I should have aides, lower-case and with an ‘e.'” “Aides because I’m clearly in something of a public-relations quagmire. Please accept my second apology.” [Crickets] Okay. While we certainly appreciate the long-winded, albeit perplexing explanation to Vanity Fair , does anyone believe she merely left off the colon? Derogatory tweets have sorta been her thing since she first asked Drake to murder her vagina and started compiling the Amanda Bynes ugly list . By her own admission, she Tweets first and thinks about it later. Is it possible this was merely a goof? Sure. But it seems rather unlikely, don’t you think? Then again, unlike trying to get in Lindsay Lohan’s pants, trying to get inside Amanda Bynes’ mind and figure out what’s going on is next to impossible. Let’s give the wannabe cancer patient … sorry, patient Cancer a pass on this one.

As we reported Monday, Lindsay Lohan is getting ready to grant a tell-all interview and docu-series to Oprah Winfrey … but it’s gonna cost O plenty. We’re talking a stunning $2 million, according to a TMZ report. OWN has been negotiating with the star for months, and she seems poised to bank seven figures twice over for being a hot mess. What a world. Heck, Playboy paid a mere $1 million for Lindsay Lohan nude . LiLo has torpedoed her career over the years with her inability to get her ish together, but paradoxically, this is also becoming her calling card. Because of the drama and interest created by almost going to jail, firing her lawyer, going to Betty Ford, bailing on rehab, etc … she could get rich . In addition to all those zeroes, Lindsay Lohan will get some perks from Oprah as well, to the tune of two fully-paid personal assistants and a stylist. Substance abuse and sex tapes. The new acting. Trayvon Martin Linked to Hate Crime Victims in Controversial N.Y. Daily News Cover

Less than 48 hours after the controversial George Zimmerman verdict , the N.Y. Daily News ran a powerful front page about the victim, Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman was found not guilty on Saturday in the killing of Martin, a decision by a Florida jury that set off a wave of protests around the country. The Daily News explicitly linked Martin, the slain teen, to martyrs of the civil rights movement ( Emmett Till ), and black victims of hate crimes (James Byrd, Jr.): For the last 17 months, the case has been a lightning rod for gun debates, legal disputes, and perhaps most notably, racial tension across the U.S. Clearly, the Daily News is prepared to stoke those flames. The newspaper’s cover plays on Martin’s hoodie, which became a symbol of his (alleged) racial profiling in the aftermath of his February 2012 slaying. Zimmerman claimed, conversely, that he did not profile Martin – his brother Robert Zimmerman Jr. said race was not a factor in the case – that night. Instead, he cited media bias against the accused, who claimed self-defense, and urged that people respect the jury’s verdict before rushing to judgment. What do you think: Did the jury get it right?

The Bachelorette: Who Did Desiree Hartsock Send Home? Who Will Win?

The rumor mill is swirling as to who Desiree Hartsock picks on The Bachelorette. Spoilers up until now have been accurate … but what about going forward? The field of 25 has been narrowed to just four, as tonight’s hometown dates featured Brooks Forester, Chris Siegfried, Drew Kenney and Zak Waddell. The favorite coming in? Brooks, in many people’s minds. But did he come away with a rose tonight? Who got sent home? And who – if anyone – do The Bachelorette spoilers say Desiree gets engaged to in the finale? There have been reports that Des will pull a Brad Womack and pick no one, perhaps because Brooks, who she’s in love with is not on the same page. In any case, he got a rose tonight, along with … Chris Seigfried and Drew Kenney! Initially, The Bachelorette spoilers had Drew getting the boot this evening, but recent intel suggested Zak would be the odd man out after hometowns. Looks like he indeed was. Going forward, talk has been that Des might shock everyone by sending ALL three home, but this may just be classic misdirection from the producers. Our guess would be that she does get engaged at the end, and that there’s no real catch. One gets eliminated next week, another the week after. She then gives the final rose to [your best guess] and they live happily ever after … or at least date for a few months before they call it off. Who knows.
