Let’s go with “Explodier.” That’s why Bay is working with Ubisoft and Warner Bros. to develop a movie adaptation of the Ghost Recon video game. The director, who is currently working on Transformers 4 , may or may not direct the film. That all depends on what direction the screenwriter–yet to be found–decides to go with the project. It’s been a busy week for 2 Chainz. On Sunday, the rapper was robbed at gunpoint . And just now… he was arrested for possession of marijuana! Few details are available, but TMZ broke the story and this much we know: The 35-year old artist was apparently caught with marijuana in Terminal 5 of Los Angeles International Airport, just prior to his flight boarding. He was booked for possession, but authorities are yet to make a comment. In late April, 2 Chainz was cleared in another marijuana case after the arresting officers asked to pose for a photo with the celebrity. So at least it appears they’ve learned from that mistake.
So this apparently happened today: Jonathan Cheban – the best friend of Kim Kardashian – was flying from New York to Los Angeles when a woman Tweeted a threat at the reality star. “Jonathan Cheban is on my flight, should I cut him with my weapon?” she wrote, adding: “I gotta pretty intense pocket knife with mehhh.” Somehow, the authorities were alerted to these messages and detained the unidentified passenger once the flight landed at LAX. It has to be the first time in history that a Tweet led to a possible arrest, at least a Tweet about wounding Jonathan Cheban. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians regular did Tweet “Police?” in response to the initial messages, but says that was the extent of his involvement in the strange case. In the end, the woman was searched and released when no weapon was found. She then tried to make it up to Cheban with: “It was a bad joke … you look really hot babe.” So now we know she’s crazy.
Michael Jackson’s family is outraged and prepared to put forth a united front in opposition to any effort to make Debbie Rowe guardian of Paris Jackson. Rowe, Paris’ biological mother, has not made any move to become her guardian after last week’s suicide attempt, but she’s open to it if Paris wants it. Paris Jackson is having trouble connecting with grandmother Katherine, and recently established a bond with mom Debbie over the last few months. While Paris’ identity crisis and desire to get to know her mother are no doubt genuinely motivated, family members say Debbie’s angle is quite different. Basically, they say she just wants to put herself in the public eye. They point to her statement to the media after the suicide attempt. One source told TMZ, “If her intentions were pure she’d be speaking to the family.” The family will fight Debbie “tooth and nail” if she attempts to secure guardianship of the troubled teen, which is a real possibility, says the gossip site. Their criticism of Rowe is puzzling, however, since Debbie has been laying low for YEARS, even when MJ died and Katherine went missing last year. Moreover, her “statement” about Paris had nothing to do with legal guardianship; Rowe merely confirmed that Paris had in fact attempted suicide. Rowe also received a substantial settlement from Jackson upon their divorce, which hurts the argument that she is solely motivated by fiscal interests. In any case, the judge in the custody case is currently reviewing Katherine Jackson’s guardianship to determine if she’s able to properly care for Paris. If she’s not, Rowe could make a play if Paris is amenable.

Ted Dwane was rushed to the emergency room yesterday after suffering blood clot on his brain, with Mumford & Sons releasing a statement that updates fans on the condition of its bassist: “Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment,” the band says, adding: “The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery.” As a result of this incident, Mumford & Sons – on tour in support of its second album – announced that it has postponed shows in Dallas, Woodlands and New Orleans. “We have no plans to cancel or postpone any other appearances along this current tour,” added the group. “We’re all wishing Ted a speedy recovery.” The quartet’s next concert is scheduled for June 15 at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. Let’s all hope everyone can make it and it proceeds as planned.
