Kristen Stewart put on her very serious face for last night’s Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Rarely one to light up the red carpet with her smile on any occasion, the actress embraced the evening’s punk theme by dressing head-to-toe in a dark shade of red, all designed by Stella McCartney. Lil Wayne-Trick Daddy Beef: Quashed By Birdman?

Trick Daddy and Lil Wayne are not big fans of each other, but Weezy’s friend mentor Birdman has reportedly stepped in to quash this beef for good. Lil Wayne went ballistic at a strip club last month after a dude in Trick’s posse allegedly flicked a cigarette into the rapper’s dreads at a Miami strip club. Trick Daddy is bitter, claiming Tunechi got him blackballed from all the good strip clubs in Miami (really), leaving him to frequent butterface joints (really). Moreover, Trick insists he didn’t even do anything to Weezy. “If I wanted to start $h!t with [Wayne] he would have been in the hospital for a different reason,” Daddy boasted, harshly referencing Weezy’s seizures . Fortunately, Birdman stepped in to defuse the situation between the feuding rappers. He’s reportedly set up a dinner with the three of them to talk it out. What we wouldn’t give to be a fly on that wall. In other news, Mountain Dew dropped Lil Wayne as a spokesman because of the Emmett Till controversy and the rapper’s perceived lack of apology. Guy’s got beefs going left and right lately.

Iron Man 3 Earns $175 Million on Opening Weekend!

You all probably thought  The Iceman would win the box office this weekend, but nope…. Iron Man 3 did. In fact, it  destroyed the weekend. In double fact, it made more in three days than all the movies in theaters have made in any single weekend so far this year. In triple fact, it scored the second highest opening weekend  ever ! Iron Man 3 took in $175.3 million in its first three days. CMT Awards 2013: Nominations Announced!

Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Eric Church each picked up four nominations on Monday for the 2013 CMT Awards, to be held June 5 in Nashville. Fellow country veterans Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts, as well as first-time nominees Florida Georgia Line, earned three nods each. Carrie Underwood, the frontrunner at last year’s CMT Awards nominations with an impressive five (and won video of the year), has two nods this year. She is joined by Taylor Swift , Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Hunter Hayes, Jana Kramer, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town and the rock group Journey. Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart” is up for video of the year and female video of the year. She’s also up for group video and CMT performance of the year. Bryan and Church, will square off in the same four categories: video of the year, male video, collaborative video and CMT performance of the year. It will be a busy night for the newly-single Jason Aldean , who, along with his three nominations, is co-hosting the show with actress Kristen Bell. Along with Aldean, Lambert has also made celebrity gossip headlines of late, thanks to the (alleged) rough patch she and Blake Shelton have hit. In any case, it’s all about the music on this occasion. Congrats to the CMT Awards nominees of 2013!

Jaime King: Pregnant with First Child!

Jaime King shared some very exciting news with her fans today: The actress is pregnant with her first child! King and husband Kyle Newman are expecting, the former made very clear a few hours ago, posting a photo of herself, her man and their two dogs along with the caption: “Getting ready for another baby to be squeezed into this picture!” It’s been a great few days for the beautiful star all around, as The CW picked up Hart of Dixie for a third season late last week. She and the 37-year old filmmaker wed in November 2007 after two years of dating. We wish this growing family nothing but the best!

Iron Man 3 Earns $15.6 Million at Opening Night Screenings

If you didn’t expect  Iron Man 3 to do well, then you haven’t been paying attention. As the first summer blockbuster,  Iron Man 3 kicked off Marvel Phase 2 with a $15.6 million opening night box office gross. Iron Man 3 ‘s opening night earnings suggest that the film will make at least $150 million in its first weekend. Compare the numbers to  The Avengers ‘ $18.7 million, which led to record-breaking box office numbers. Were you one of the moviegoers who contributed to  IM3 ‘s opening night numbers? Chris Kelly Overdose Suspected By Family, Authorities

The mother of rapper Chris Kelly told police that her son became sick after taking drugs, and officials believe an overdose took the Kris Kross rapper’s life. Chris Kelly died Wednesday in Atlanta at the age of 34. Kelly’s mother, Donna Kelly Pratte, 54, and his uncle, Lamar Williams, 52, told Fulton County authorities that Chris Kelly had a history of drug abuse, too. Paramedics found Kelly, 34, unresponsive on a couch at his Atlanta home and tried administering CPR. Kelly was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Authorities have already completed a physical examination of Kelly’s body and a toxicology screening was being done to determine cause of death. It is believed he took heroin and cocaine the night before. Kriss Kross was introduced to the world in 1992 by music producer and rapper Jermaine Dupri after he discovered the pair at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta. Kelly, the “Mac Daddy,” performed alongside Chris Smith, a.k.a. “Daddy Mac.” “To the world Chris was Mac Daddy but to me, he was a son I never had,” Dupri, his mentor and close confidant, said in a written statement Thursday. “When I think about it, I spent more time with Chris and Chris than damn near anybody in my whole life, so you can imagine how bad this hurts.” “I will always love you Chris, and I will never let the world forget you, may God bless your soul.”

Kanye West Album Release Date: June 18?

Kanye West has seemingly revealed the release date for his next album. Or maybe the due date for Kim Kardashian . Or possibly even his wedding date. But it’s safe to assume Kanye’s mysterious Twitter account is referring to his next professional milestone, as the rapper has deleted everything on it except for one message that reads: June Eighteen. That date does fall on a Tuesday, the traditional release day for new albums. It’s also rather unlikely that Kim would walk down the aisle when she’s nearly nine months pregnant. The tabloids won’t shell out top dollar for those images! But all we can say for sure is this: Kanye’s album will NOT be titled ” I Am God .” Unfortunately.

Amanda Bynes Slams "Ugly Old Lady" Jenny McCarthy, Twitter Police Report

Amanda Bynes is at it again on Twitter, this time slamming Jenny McCarthy of all people after the Playboy legend expressed genuine concern for her. Last night, Jenny heard from an unreliable source (Jonathan Jaxson) on Twitter that police were knocking down Amanda’s door in fear for her life. After passing along the rumor – which no reliable site, THG included, even bothered running – out of true concern for Bynes, Amanda let her have it: “I need help?” she Tweeted at Jenny. What are u talking about? Aren’t u 50 years old? I’m 27, u look 80 compared to me! Why are you talking about me?” “You’re ugly! Police weren’t at my house old lady! Shut the f–k up!” We know Amanda Bynes only has hot friends , and has a thing against “ugly” people, but has she seen Jenny McCarthy? Hottest would-be friend ever! It’s unclear why “ugly” has become Mandy’s default word when lashing out at “haters,” but Jenny, to her credit, responded to Amanda with a simple apology: “@AmandaBynes sorry girl. Looking out for ya.” To which Amanda cheerfully replied, obviously: “@JennyMcCarthy thanks! I’m sorry if I offended you! You’re beautiful! I was lying! I’ll delete our tweets!” That was nice of her, we suppose … of course, the original tirade was totally unnecessary as McCarthy, 40, was only expressing positive wishes. Then again, trying to apply logic to this particular human being is akin to expecting Lindsay Lohan to be contrite and take responsibility for her actions. Just another day at the Amanda Bynes Twitter circus …
