At last night’s premiere of Pain & Gain , both 50 Cent and Mark Wahlberg responded to the controversy surrounding Bieber and his recent Anne Frank comments , with the rapper echoing the sentiment that has landed Bieber in trouble: “She probably would have been [a belieber],” Fiddy said of the Holocaust victim. Wahlberg, meanwhile, thinks JB just needs a break. “I think it’s best to put down the phone and Twitter and all that stuff, and just be a little more low-key right now,” the actor said. “Because they’re watching every move he makes, everything he says, and less is more. Go take a vacation.” This advice comes on the heels of Bieber Tweeting an odd cartoon photo of himself and a fan in bed . He really might wanna turn the phone and computer off for awhile.
After getting underway Monday, The Voice battle round continued last night with an epic vocal throwdown – and steal showdown involving the loser. Blake Shelton paired Caroline Glaser, 18, and Danielle Bradbery, 16, together for a rendition of “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae. In doing so, he virtually assured neither would go home. In the wake of Monday’s Boston Marathon bombing that killed at least three and injured 130 more, a nation turns its weary eyes to … Patton Oswalt? Believe it or not, yes. The 44-year-old comedian penned a Facebook response that struck a chord with fans and people who’ve never heard of him. It has been Liked nearly 250,000 times in less than a day. Oswalt writes that while violence like the Boston Marathon tragedy exemplifies the worst of our civilization, it’s easy to lose track of the big picture. That big picture, he says, is of a nation and human race that is fundamentally good, and would not be here otherwise, and which will always triumph. It’s actually pretty inspirational. I don’t know what’s going to be revealed to be behind all of this mayhem. One human insect or a poisonous mass of broken sociopaths. But here’s what I DO know. If it’s one person or a HUNDRED people, that number is not even a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population on this planet. This is a giant planet and we’re lucky to live on it but there are prices and penalties incurred for the daily miracle of existence. One of them is, every once in awhile, the wiring of a tiny sliver of the species gets snarled and they’re pointed towards darkness. But the vast majority stands against that darkness and, like white blood cells attacking a virus, they dilute and weaken and eventually wash away the evil doers and, more importantly, the damage they wreak. This is beyond religion or creed or nation. We would not be here if humanity were inherently evil. We’d have eaten ourselves alive long ago. So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, “The good outnumber you, and we always will.” Words to live by, no?

With Ashley Judd on board the big screen adaption of this beloved bestseller, Entertainment Weekly now confirms that the actor will also play a key role in the upcoming blockbuster: He will portray Andrew Prior , father to heroine Shailene Woodley’s Beatrice Prior and husband to Judd’s Natalie. Goldwyn starred in Ghost and is currently best known for portraying the President of the United States on ABC’s Scandal . Along with Judd and Goldwyn, Kate Winslet, Jai Courtney, Theo James, Zoë Kravitz, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, and Ansel Elgort will appear in the film. It kicked off production this week and will be released on March 21, 2014.
