Lindsay Lohan Case: Actual Competent Lawyer Joins Defense Team

A California lawyer named David Wohl may be Lindsay Lohan’s best chance to stay out of jail, and he’s trying to come on board her legal team before trial. Wohl wants to join New York attorney Mark Heller – who the judge reamed out as incompetent – when Lindsay’s case comes before the court March 18. The judge told Heller at a pretrial hearing to either bring in a California defense attorney who has a clue, or have LiLo waive her right to competent representation. Michael Lohan found Wohl, who’s practiced criminal defense law for 25 years and has offices in Orange County, and he is ready and willing to help.  Wohl, who has handled cases ranging from shoplifting to murder over his career, has been in daily contact with Heller about the Lindsay Lohan case. LiLo hasn’t given Wohl her stamp of approval … yet. But even if she doesn’t, TMZ reports that MiLo has asked the attorney to show up in court with Heller anyway to force the issue, so stay tuned there. The actress is looking at up to eight months in jail for lying to police and violating probation. So far, overtures toward a plea deal have been rebuffed. One could still be struck at any time before the trial date, or even during the trial, if she actually agrees to go to rehab and get the help she needs. Don’t hold your breath for that scenario, though. Would require Lindsay Lohan using her brain, making a logical decision and being at all self-aware. Will she go to jail?!   Yes. The Cardinals will undoubtedly consider … Cardinal Angelo Scola, 71: He’s the archbishop of Milan, a good launching pad, and the former Patriarch of Venice, which has produced many a papal candidate. Cardinal Marc Ouellet, 68: A frontrunner, the former archbishop of Quebec, who heads the Congregation of Bishops, also speaks six languages. Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, 69: Born in Argentina to Italian parents, Sandri was No. 2 in the Vatican Secretary of State’s office under Pope John Paul II. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Recap – He Took My Lamborghini!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills showed there’s “No Business Like Clothes Business” while bad taste can still be very expensive. We recap drunken breakups and unexpected makeups in our THG +/- review Can you feel the love? It’s the ladies last night in Paris and the city of love was definitely rubbing off on our housewives. Plus 10. That doesn’t happen often. Brandi’s actually making friends. She and Kim are half way to being BFFs as they bond over sobriety and Yolanda graces Brandi with a new pair of shoes. Plus 15. Who would have seen that coming at the beginning of the season? There’s only one flaw in the evening. Ken’s jacket. Minus 9. What was up with the sparkly gold lapels? The entire trip even makes Lisa consider renewing her vows with Ken. Paris must really have some super powers. Back in Beverly Hills Lisa invites over Kevin Lee, the flamboyant party planner they used for Pandora’s wedding. Minus 12 . Is this really the guy you call for a chic, intimate housewarming / vow renewal ceremony?  I can only imagine what over the top nonsense he’ll recommend. Taylor visits with Dana. We haven’t seen her since last season. Now we know why. Dana’s completely wasted. She admits she drinks too much, smokes too much and f*cks too much but she’s OK with that.   Her fiance left her and took the Lamborghini he gave her for her birthday. Minus 11. The funniest moment was Dana calling Brandi Glanville a low life and that she didn’t measure up to housewives status as she sat there stoned, lighting her cigarette with a candle.   I think someones a little bitter about not being asked back for season 3. Yolanda and David have a photo shoot and wow! Plus 20 . Yolanda may be officially out of the modeling game but she certainly hasn’t lost her touch.  She looked gorgeous and she and her husband made quite a stunning couple. Finally we’re off the big opening of Kyle’s new store, Kyle by Alene Too.   Does Kyle actually design anything? No. She picks out what she likes and resells it in her boutique. But every time Kyle raved about an outfit I thought eww. MInus 18. Let’s just say that even if I had the money, I wouldn’t be shopping at Kyle’s.   Everyone shows up for the opening. Even Faye. Minus 22. Can’t we leave the wannabes at home? Paul and Adrienne show up. No one has seen them in a while but honestly, did anyone really miss them? Taylor’s reevaluating her relationships and tells Yolanda that it wasn’t her she hated, it was only her husband.  Minus 13.   Yeah, that didn’t go over so well. So did Kim really mix up her medications?  Maybe. Like she said, she’s got a lot of trust to earn back. Plus 15. It certainly appears that she’s trying. Next week it looks like Faye goes after Brandi once again.  Maybe Yolanda can pelt her with lemons until she leaves. We can only hope. Episode total = -25!                Season total = -334!

The Bachelor Finale: Who Did Sean Lowe Pick?!

After a winter full of twists, turns, cat fights and The Bachelor spoilers , it all came down to this. The 17th winner of ABC’s reality hit is revealed at last. After four hometown dates, three emotional overnight dates and an intense Women Tell All Special, The Bachelor finale delivered more drama. There was the letter. The talks with family. The tears. The turmoil. The joy. The painful decision between two women, Catherine Giudici and Lindsay Yenter. So who did our man Sean Lowe pick in the end, and was there any last-second game-changer? Follow the jump to see who won, and share your reaction. Spoilers ahead, obviously. Sean Lowe just gave his final rose to … Catherine Giudici! Surprised? Thrilled? Enraged? Confused? Shrugging your shoulders? The Bachelor has a way of instilling all of these emotions, often simultaneously. In the end, despite all the buzz over the letter, it played out mostly like past seasons, with both of the final two appearing at the final rose ceremony. Lindsay Yenter was rejected. It was devastating. Sean Lowe then gave his final rose to Catherine Giudici and rode off into the sunset on an elephant. End of sad, somewhat over-hyped story. At least when it came to the letter. It ended up being from Catherine, but despite two hours of misdirection from host Chris Harrison, she did not break up with him. It was a love letter. He proposed. She said yes. They’re engaged. Or even more than that?! On the After the Final Rose special, we’ve been promised another announcement re: Sean and Catherine. Are they still together? What are their plans? Chris promised this “breaking” reveal on After the Final Rose . Big surprise. First, Lindsay Yenter came out and confronted Sean for the first time since that day in Thailand, and she handled things about as well as she could have. Then, the happy couple reunited and gushed about one another. A lot. The announcement teased for almost three hours? They are very much still together and engaged … and getting married on ABC, wedding date TBA. A little anticlimactic there, ABC, but we’re happy they’re still happy. And finally, Desiree Hartsock was announced as The Bachelorette! Many updates will soon follow. Jada Pinkett Smith Defends Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, Calls Out Haters

Jada Pinkett Smith has come to the defense of a couple young A-listers. With Justin Bieber hearing it these days – following a pot smoking controversy, a blow up at a paparazzi and more – the actress posted a Facebook message Sunday that didn’t mention any star by name. But whose subject matter was obvious to any celebrity gossip follower. “It is as if we have forgotten what it means to be young or even how to behave like good ol’ grown folk,” Smith wrote. “Do we feel as though we can say and do what we please without demonstrating any responsibility simply because they are famous? “Is it okay to continually attack and criticize a famous 19 year old who is simply trying to build a life, exercise his talents while figuring out what manhood and fame is all about as he carries the weight of supporting his family as well as providing the paychecks to others who depend on him to work so they can feed their families as well? “Does that render being called a c*** by an adult male photographer as you try to return to your hotel after leaving the the hospital?” Smith, whose son Jaden is close to Bieber, then turned her attention to Taylor Swift, who has also under fire for her dating life and recently snapping at Tina Fey and Amy Poehler . “What about being a young woman in her early twenties, exploring the intracacies [sic] of love and power on the world stage? “Should we shame a young woman for displaying a sense of innocence as she navigates through the murky waters of love, heartbreak, and fame? Are these young people not allowed to be young, make mistakes, grow, and eventually transform a million times before our eyes?” Overall, Jada asks: Are we bullying our young artists? Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Not Leaving The View After All!

Sorry, Brooke Shields. You may need to keep your forthcoming opinions to yourself. With the Internet seeming to confirm that Elisabeth Hasselbeck was leaving The View and Shields was taking over for the ousted panelist, Barbara Walters put an end to that chatter this morning on the ABC talk show. “We love Elisabeth,” she said. “We value and appreciate her point of view. It helps give the show perspective. We have no plans for Elisabeth to leave this show.” Joy Behar, however, is definitely on the way out this summer, a decision arrived at by the comedian herself and which Walters described on air as “bittersweet.”

Oscar Pistorius: On Suicide Watch?

South African Olympic track star Oscar Pistorius, accused of killing his murdering Reeva Steenkamp, is “on the verge of suicide,” a close family friend said. The athlete is a “broken man” after rising legal costs forced him to sell his belongings, Mike Azzie claims, noting that Pistorius denies it was murder. His lawyers, meanwhile, have filed appeal to ease his bail restrictions. Pistorius, who will be placed on trial for shooting his model girlfriend at his home last month, was freed on bail February 22. His trial will commence in June. Azzie, who has known the double amputee – a national hero and global inspiration before the tragedy – since childhood, fears for his mental and emotional state . He said Pistorius is selling his belongings to cover astronomical legal fees. He frequently talks about Reeva Steenkamp and her family, Azzie says. “He has no confidence in his tone of voice and he is almost like someone that is walking around in circles and doesn’t know where he is going,” Azzie said. “I would say that, just speaking to him, he is a broken man. I would go as far as to say that he could be on the verge of suicide. It really worries me.” “He just always seems to mention Reeva and asks us to pray for her and her family, and [we] are there for him and we will always be his friend.” Steenkamp, 29, died after the star fired multiple shots into the bathroom of his apartment in a gated community in Pretoria on Valentine’s Day. Pistorius claims he thought she was an intruder when he killed her.

When it comes to what other people think, Rihanna is known for not giving a … you know. But with Monica Fenty, that doesn’t necessarily apply. Chris Brown ‘s girlfriend admits to Elle UK that her inappropriate photos on Instagram have resulted in more than her share of criticism from mom. “She called me two days ago and reeled me in about two naked pics [my friend] Melissa put on Instagram, a sneak peek from a photo book she’s making about me.” “I’m not afraid of any person in this world but my mother, I’m terrified of her!” “She went crazy on me, I was like, embarrassed,” Rihanna continued. “I felt like I got my a– whipped in front of my class at school! She humbled the f–k out of me.” Photos of Rihanna nude – or darn close, in skimpy bikinis, thongs, risque tops, etc. – are a dime a dozen, so Monica has had plenty of occasions to lash out. And she doesn’t hesitate. We can only imagine how she reacted Wednesday, when Rihanna shared a topless, hot thong photo with her 5.6 million followers on Instagram. “Sick a– custom Prada boots! Earthquake in Southern California Registers 5.1 Magnitude, Rumbles Region

A moderate-magnitude earthquake rolled through a wide swath of Southern California Monday morning but there were no immediate reports of major damage. The 9:55 a.m. quake reached an estimated magnitude of 4.7-5.1, according to the California Institute of Technology’s seismological laboratory. A number of aftershocks also occurred. The epicenter was about a dozen miles from the desert town of Anza, about 100 miles southeast of Los Angeles and was felt sharply in the local area. A swaying or rolling motion rippled across the state , with reports of the earthquake being felt by many residents of both Los Angeles and San Diego. Near the epicenter, Palms Springs police Sgt. Harvey Reed said his department received no reports of damage or injuries, which is a good thing. Susie Bride, a cashier at Cahuilla Mountain Market and Cafe in Anza, said the quake seemed to last awhile but didn’t do any damage to the business. “It kind of shook and then I thought, ‘God, is that an earthquake?’ It kind of shook and then it rolled a little bit and then it shook again,” she recalled.

Justin Timberlake Disses Kanye West in SNL Performance: Watch Now!

Justin Timberlake’s Saturday Night Live performance of his new hit “Suit & Tie” contained a subtle response to unexpected hater Kanye West. Last month at a London concert, Kanye slammed Justin ‘s collaboration with Jay-Z, saying, “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f–kin’ with that ‘Suit & Tie.'” So on Saturday night, Timberlake changed the lyrics “S**t so sick got a hit and picked up a habit” to “My hit’s so sick, it got RAPPERS acting dramatic.” Smooth and silk. Justin Timberlake SNL Performance Later, Jay-Z came out to join the singer on “Suit & Tie.” Timberlake, whose 20/20 Project album comes out March 19, delivered huge ratings for SNL . Game, set, match.
