Tamera Mowry Shares Grief After Laying to Rest Slain Niece

Last week, Alaina Housley, niece of Tamera Mowry and Adam Housley, was murdered in a mass shooting. Now, the bright teenager has been laid to rest. Temera shared a heartbreaking quote about grief to mark the occassion. Reports on the 12 innocent lives lost in the Thousand Oaks shooting were consumed by stories of the raging wildfire that is tearing through Southern California. But Tamera can’t think of anything but her niece, her grief, and her family. “Today we lay you to rest sweet angel,” Tamera writes on Instagram. “I’ll miss you forever,” she continues. “And your sweet smile.” “Until we meet again,” Tamera adds. She follows those words in her caption with an emoji of two linked hearts. Her caption is beside an image of a very relevant quote. “Grief never ends… but it changes,” the quote begins. “It’s a passage, not a place to stay,” the quote continues. The quote notes: “Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith.” “It is,” the quote concludes. “The price of love.” That is heartbreaking but very accurate. Tamera gave context for the quote that she shared. “This quote was sent to me by my friend David,” she says. She didn’t tag him, which is a tasteful way to give him credit without getting him mobbed by fans. “When I am having a challenging day,” Tamera shares. “I cling to it.” She has had a lot of challenging days in the past week. Her entire family has. Tamera confirmed that she did not have sex until she was 29 and then, wracked by guilt due to her religious beliefs, remained celibate until marriage. She has come under fire for her marriage to Adam Housley. Some took aim at their interracial marriage — because yes, this world is still full of hatefulness and racism. Others took aim because of Housley’s role at Fox News, a conservative outlet that gives a platform to outspoken white supremacists like Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson. It should be noted that Housley departed from his role at Fox News in protest over the network’s pivot from actual journalism to Trump hype. And at any rate, any criticisms that one might have of Tamera or her husband can wait. They are in mourning. Alaina Housley was a freshman at Pepperdine University. It was college night at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, California. What should have been a night to party, mix, and mingle turned into a massacre. Tamera and Adam have expressed their sorrow, not only for their own loss, but for the other 11 innocents who were gunned down. And for their families, and for the numerous individuals who were injured. One of the victims who did not survive had, just a year earlier, survived the Las Vegas shooting. To Alaina’s loved ones who survive her, the reality of her tragic death is still sinking in. Some of them may feel betrayed that the world immediately moved on from the story of the massacre. As we mentioned, multiple blazes following serious drought in Southern California have raged through. Entire towns have been destroyed. Dozens are dead. Hundreds are missing or unaccounted for. 2018 has visited many horrors upon us all, but seems to be doubling down on the people of Southern California as the year draws to a close. Grey’s Anatomy Recap: Blowin’ in the Wind

Grey Sloan Memorial was rocked by strong winds on Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy, and it left several lives in the air.  The milestone episode kicked off with Meredith helping her makeshift father, Richard, as he got out of jail for the number he did on the bar.  Meredith knew about Catherine’s cancer diagnosis, and she knew she had to instill in Richard that he needed to get his $hit together because his life was about to change.  “Get your head in a place where you can take care of the people who depend on you,” she complained as a branch smashed her windscreen.  And that Richard did. He made his way to the interim chief’s office, but Alex was nowhere to be found. In his place was Bailey complaining about the mess and how late her successor is for work.  Bailey was understanding of what was going on for Richard, but she admitted she had to bench him for the day and had to tell the board about what was going.  As for Alex, he and Jo slept in and quickly realized there was no way either of them could make the journey to work because of the storm.  “We can’t help if we’re dead,” Jo complained as she started to check what supplies they had in the flat, realizing they hadn’t bought groceries in a long ass time.  But the couple’s plan to relive their honeymoon was derailed when Jo noticed Alex had not filed their marriage license, so they technically were not married.  Then, the power went out, so their time together will have to be spent trying to assess the state of their careers.  Things took a turn at the hospital when trauma had an influx of patients thanks to the storm. One girl had a selfie stick embedded in her head; one had a Christmas cane penetrating them. It was a mess.  The woman with the selfie stick was freaking the eff out, and Helm and Amelia treated her. When they removed it, the woman died because it was leaning on her brain.  But she was an organ donor, so the doctors rushed to use the organs on some other patients. Cece was one of those, and the doctors got her ready for surgery.  However, DeLuca reiterated to Cece that there were big complications.  “If you don’t squeeze all the light and love and joy you can out of this one life you’ve been given, I’m gonna haunt you from my grave,” Cece said to Meredith.  DeLuca later cornered Meredith afterward and gave us all the feels.  “While I’m feeling brave,” he DeLuca said. “I’m not sorry I kissed you at the wedding ’cause it’s all I’ve been able to think about ever since.” “I’m having such a week, I don’t trust my thinking, so I’m gonna walk out of here. But I’m gonna think about what you said when I’m able to think,” Meredith said, clearly confused about all of it.  Meanwhile, Richard finally attempted to tell Catherine the truth about what happened, but he was blindsided when Koracick answered her phone.  He immediately assumed they were having sex and stormed around the hospital. Meredith also dished the goodies about Catherine to Maggie, and Maggie almost told Jackson all about it while they were getting closer to each other. Looks like their argument is all over, and they’re getting back together.  Elsewhere, Levi and Nico started to get closer again after another big argument, and Levi saved his potential love interest’s life, and they wound up getting hot and heavy in an ambulance.  But a power line fell down right next to the ambulance, plunging the hospital into darkness.  Yikes.  What are your thoughts on the midseason finale? Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: Their Divorce Could Separate Their Kids

After two years of divorce, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are headed for a custody trial . At least, that’s what will happen if they can’t reach an agreement by December 4, their current deadline. An expert in how California Family Court operates sheds some light on how the Jolie-Pitt kids could end up in separate homes. It looks like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s division of personal property will be decided by a private judge. And so will custody of their children — up to a point. HollywoodLife   spoke to a California Family Law attorney, David T. Pisarra, about what could become of their six children. Specifically, he addressed the possibility that some of these kids, whose ages range from 17 to 10, could get split up between households. “Certainly, that can happen,” Pisarra replies. But he does note that the possbility of siblings getting divided “generally deals with older children.” But Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10, are unlikely to be ordered to separate households. “Typically the courts want to keep all the kids together, Pisarra notes. “Because they want to maintain the continuity of the relationships.” Outside of fiction like The Parent Trap , where the parents monstrously separated infant twins, courts want siblings to know each other. “But,” Pisarra says. “If there are huge age gaps as there are with Brad and Angelina’s children, that can be a factor.” Even so, he says, “It’s generally disfavored.” Pisarra emphasizes: “and the courts try and keep the kids together.” Now, the older children in particular could ask the court to award custody to one parent over the other. “Absolutely,” Pisarra says, noting that “the parents can fight that.” “But the issue is once the kids are 14-years-old,” he explains. “They have the right and opportunity to be heard by the courts.” So Pax and Maddox, at least, will get to officially choose sides — if they choose to. It doesn’t mean that they’ll have to actually enter the courtroom, though. “The court can hear from them in many different ways, either by letter, interview by a third party, it could be in chambers with a court reporter,” Pisarra says. That’s good — speaking in court, especially about your parents, can be all kinds of intimidating. “And it depends on what the court wants to do,” Pisarra continues, depending upon “Their age and maturity.” “Maddox is 17, and technically he’s a minor, he’s more than old enough and mature enough to clearly state his wishes and desires,” Pisarra notes as an example. Brangelina split after some alleged altercation between Brad and Maddox — one that caused Angelina to report her husband to the FBI for child abuse. So it’s expected that he, at least, is going to want to remain in his mother’s custody for his remaining months as a minor. But just because Pax is old enough to be put on the spot in this way does not mean that the judge will do so. “Pax technically can at 14,” Pisarra says. “But judges typically aren’t going to allow it because they want to keep the kids out of this as much as possible.” The wishes of the children aren’t the only concern. The court has to have reasonable confidence that the children will be safe and provided for, obviously. Also, the court will want to minimize how much the children’s lives are disrupted. “A judge would also look at where the parents want the kids to live,” Pisarra mentions. He explains: “If Brad wanted to stay in Los Angeles and Angelina wants to live in London, that would factor into the decision.” Geography matters “because a judge might want to let the kids live in the same place they were raised.” That makes a lot of sense — but, of course, it’s only one factor in the court’s decision. Mostly this story just reminds us of what absolute monsters the parents were in The Parent Trap . In this case, however, the parents — and the court — have to decide what is best for the children, not what is best for themselves. No one knows for certain how Angelina and Brad’s custody trial will go. That is part of what is motivating them to attempt to hammer out a deal before then. But after two years, with just a couple of weeks to go, the possibility that they’ll see eye-to-eye narrows every day. Let’s hope that they get a good, wise judge. Teresa Giudice: Deep in Denial about Joe’s Looming Deportation?

It feels like the Giudice family is in ruins thanks to Joe’s very likely deportation next year. Teresa, however, seems to be keeping busy and even staying positive. It’s not because she’s happy about Joe getting the boot. According a report, she’s deep in denial. HollywoodLife   reports that Teresa is still struggling to accept the reality of what Joe’s deportation will mean. “Teresa is absolutely heartbroken over the news that Joe will not be allowed back into America once he’s deported,” and insider states. We knew this — but we didn’t know the whole story. “However,” the source characterizes. “She is still a bit delusional and does not believe it will actually happen.” Whoa, there. Delusional is a little harsh. In denial sounds more accurate and a lot more polite. Per the insider: “She thinks Joe will somehow, magically be able to remain in the States.” The source says that Teresa is clinging to this hope “despite what the judges are saying and all the signs and facts that point to the contrary.” The insider goes on to allege that Teresa is “majorly in denial about what is going on.” Ah, there it is. “Teresa is not really an emotional person,” the source says. “And lives in denial with a lot of things in her life.” People who are deeply in touch with their own thoughts and feelings may be more grounded in reality. “But,” the insider notes. “Her oldest daughter Gia realizes this is in fact a reality.” Well Gia is 17 going on 18, and seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Apparently, Teresa’s current behavior has her loved ones a little worried. “Family and friends alike both see that Teresa is out running around like crazy and traveling,” the source reports. It is evident, the insider says, that Teresa is “doing her best to distract herself from what is actually going on.” She’s also a busy person in general, but sure. “They wish she’d stay home more with her girls,” the source says. “As her girls are her world.” “However,” the insider explains. “She’s doing it to numb the pain.” Rumors that Teresa will divorce Joe have persisted since even before the shocking deportation ruling on October 10. But this particular inside source doesn’t see it happening. “Teresa would never leave Joe,” the source claims. “Because she doesn’t want to actually go through a divorce.” Yeah — divorce is zero fun. “But of course,” the insider continues. “She’s angry and resentful.” Joe getting into trouble like this is really doing a number on their whole family. “She’s most concerned about her daughters,” the source affirms. “And making sure they’re OK.” That’s good to hear. Children are resilient, but they lack the coping mechanisms and perspective of adults. Those four girls are going to need a lot of emotional support. Fortunately, as Teresa recently made very clear during an appearance on Good Morning America , she’s there for them. “I have to stay strong,” Teresa stated. Teresa explained: “I have four beautiful daughters and they need their mommy.” We’re usually (though not always) leery of reports on other people’s feelings. Sometimes, even those closest to us, we don’t show our actual state of mind. Maybe Teresa is trying to stay busy because she’s in debt and she has four children and a soon-to-be-deported husband to support. Maybe Teresa is speaking positively about Joe’s chances because she wants to have a good attitude. No one wants to give up on a loved one. And staying positive doesn’t hurt anyone. Lil Xan Announces Plans to Enter Rehab On One-Year Anniversary of Lil Peep’s Death

Lil Xan’s stage name might be inspired by his love of prescription medications, but it seems the death of several close friends has caused the rapper to realize that recreational pill-popping can have deadly consequences. According to TMZ, Xan (nee Diego Leanos) has announced plans to enter rehab in order to seek help for an addiction to opioids. It’s no coincidence that he reached the decision to enter treatment exactly one year after fellow emcee Lil Peep was found dead of an overdose. And sadly, at the age of 22, Leanos has been impacted by the opioid crisis multiple times. Rapper Mac Miller, who died of an overdose in September was a close friend and mentor of Xan’s. Leanos has stated that he decided to get sober not long after learning of Miller’s passing. He says he’s recently been hard at work on an album that he describes as a tribute to Miller. But apparently, Leanos realizes that his health needs to take priority over his work, as he announced today that he’ll be putting that project on hold in order to focus on getting sober: “I just dropped out of SoundCloud Uni to go to rehab, I leave in like 5 days and I couldn’t be happier with this choice,” Xan wrote on Instagram today. “I love you guys for being so supportive and can’t wait too get back clean headed ready to Finish my album!” The decision comes just days after Xan opened up about his ongoing substance abuse issues in an interview with TMZ: Lil Xan Talks Drugs “I relapsed, and that’s common … Any other addict would understand that sh-t just happens,” Leanos told the outlet. “You just relapse. You don’t want to. It’s a process. You need treatment and help, and sometimes that doesn’t even help.” Xan made it clear in recent interviews that while he is not as “strung out” as he’s been in the past, he has still not achieved the sobriety he aspires to: “I’m not completely clean. Off Xanax, yes, but I’m still weaning off Norcos [a brand of codeine-based painkiller],” he said. While fans have been supportive of Xan’s decision, many expressed hope that he would decide to check into rehab immediately, rather than waiting until next week. Khloe Gives Birth on KUWTK, Reacts to Cheating Scandal

Khloe Kardashian was in a lot of pain after she gave birth to True Thompson. But not for the same reason why many women are in pain after this experience. In the uncomfortable sneak peek featured here from this Sunday's new episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe has just welcomed her first child into the world. This should be a special and blessed time, right? Yes, and it still is for Khloe. But she also must deal with the fallout from Tristan Thompson having cheated on her many times throughout her pregnancy. As you're probably well aware of by now, Khloe learned about this scandal the day before she went into labor — which really is pretty insane. It's probably the most dramatic, non-scripted storyline to ever air on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Previously, we saw Kim Kardashian and other family members arrive to the hospital and awkwardly greet Thompson for the first time since the scandal hit, a scene you can witness for yourself here: In the case of this latest clip, Tristan is not in the room. But his presence is everywhere. “I just have to get out of here,” Khloe says to her sisters inside her hospital room, texting on her phone and checking her messages. “Is everyone writing you?” asks Kourtney. Yes, replies Khloe: “Too many people, but writing about both things, I'm like shut up. I don't have the energy for that right now. I'm like, everyone leave me alone.” Kourtney tries to assure Khloe that everyone just wants to offer her support and she knows that, but… “It's also everyone has their own shit that I know nothing about and mine is thrown on the public of everything and it's just a lot harder to filter through stuff when it's this public and when I gave birth the following day. “It's just too much.” We really do feel badly for Khloe. Rob Kardashian: I’m Broke and I Live With My Mom!

Rob Kardashian is going through some things right now, folks. Yesterday, the world learned that Rob can’t afford to pay child support to his baby mama, Blac Chyna. Normally, we’d call BS on that, but in Rob’s case, we actually believe he’s broke. Of course, it’s entirely his fault that he’s broke, and he’s been given every possible advantage in life, so he still doesn’t deserve a shred of sympathy. Anyway, Rob and Chyna are mired in an increasingly ugly court battle due to his refusal to fork over the $20,000 a month they initially agreed on. It’s a bad situation for everyone involved, but at least it’s yielding some interesting insights into Rob’s increasingly sad existence. According to his documents filed by his lawyers, Rob has “minimal cash flow and no savings.”  Of course, this is all relative, and as we learned yesterday, Rob is still pulling in $10,000 a month from royalties and endorsement deals. But that’s down from a reported $100,000 in the days before he started dating Chyna. (Rob says the relationship hurt his earning potential. We say he probably did that himself by posting revenge porn of Chyna and generally being an asshat.) You don’t have to be a mathematician to see that Rob can’t afford to shell out twice his monthly income in child support — but it’s worth noting that that appears to be his only expense. “As of January 17, 2018, I am short nearly $300,000, which my accountant projects I will need to pay for my 2017 tax liabilities,” Rob said in court documents released this week. “I no longer own a home. I now live in my mother’s home.” Woof. 300 grand in debt and living at home with his mom? Needless to say, Rob’s not exactly killing it these days — but don’t worry, he’s got a plan! And apparently, it involves having his mom buy half of his sock company. Yes, in case you somehow forgot, Rob designs socks that no one wants to buy, probably because they’re overpriced socks designed by Rob Kardashian. But the unpopularity of the Arthur George line isn’t keeping Rob from pushing forward with the venture in the hope that it will help him dig out of this financial hole. Rob told the court that he hoped the sock line would “would grow and that my earnings would increase,” but instead — shocker! — he lost money on the investment. Kris Jenner swooped in to keep the company alive, and she now “50 percent share in the company.” Cool. Now if Rob can just get Kris to pay 50 percent of his child support, he’ll be all set. Josh Duggar Is Breaking the Law Again: Will He FINALLY Go to Jail?!

When Josh Duggar molested five young girls , he avoided arrest and prosecution with the help of his parents. In the years since the scandal came to light, many Duggar fans have hoped that the long arm of the law would eventually catch up to Josh. According to a new report from Radar Online, Josh has once again been caught breaking the law . But it doesn’t look as though he’ll be imprisoned for his most recent infractions. The site claims that Wholesale Motorcars in Washington County, Arkansas — which Josh has managed since 2015 — has been operating without a permit for the entirety of his tenure. “We have one zoning designation in the county to allow single-family residential or agricultural uses,” a planning official in Washington County told Radar. “Anything else requires a conditional use permit to request a zoning change.” Officials claim Josh just started a business on non-commercial property without notifying the proper authorities. When a local fire marshal noticed Josh’s failure to obtain the proper licensing, he reported the father of five. As we’ve reported in the past, Josh is hated in his hometown , but his father, Jim Bob Duggar, still enjoys a tremendous amount of clout. As such, Josh was given a second chance to comply with the law. “The fire marshal wasn’t going to issue any more extensions,” the planning authority told Radar. “He was requiring that Josh make a good faith attempt, or make effort, toward receiving a review and permit approval, so that’s what he did.” And so, Josh was given time to apply for the mandatory permits and make the necessary repairs — of which there were many. Reports indicate that Josh didn’t display the building’s address anywhere on its exterior (a shady detail if ever there was one)/ Also, his property had no smoke detectors and was generally in a state of disrepair. Of course, the Duggars have violated local zoning laws before, most recently when Jim Bob attempted to open a “luxury RV park” without notifying local officials. She has also now made a forward-looking career move, somehow managing to maintain her relationship with MTV even after getting fired from Teen Mom OG . The cable network has announced that Abraham will return for Season 2 of Ex on the Beach, confirming as much in a press release that reads as follows: The U.S. format of MTV’s global phenomenon “Ex On The Beach” returns for season two on Thursday, December 20th at 8PM ET/PT. The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 9 Episode 2 Recap: Teresa Giudice Reignites Her Feud With Joe & Melissa Gorga

Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey reignited the feud between Teresa Giudice and her brother, Joe Gorga, and it looks like we’re in for a season of backstabs between the brother and sister.  If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online , you know the season premiere found Teresa opening up about Joe steering clear of their father in recent months, signaling that things were going south for the family.  “My brother used to be around more when my mom first passed away, and I’m really nervous to say anything to him because when I brought this up in the past, it got ugly,” Teresa explained of the situation in a confessional. “My brother and I have been doing really well for a while now, and I definitely don’t want history to repeat itself. Life is short. I just don’t want my brother to have any regrets.” In true Teresa fashion, she brought it up during a family gathering. Thankfully, she did not throw some tables. She’s learned from her mistakes.  Things started to get heated during the dinner party, with Joe’s father Giacinto yelling about his son not calling him, going as far as saying “F–k you” to him.  “Are you going to be around more for this one? He wants you around more,” she said. “The kid that’s not around the most, that’s the kid you always want.” Melissa who has feuded with Teresa in the past because of her association with her brother took to a confessional to complain about the whole thing.  “Who brings up a super sensitive, going-to-cause-a-problem conversation on Easter Sunday? Especially in front of my father-in-law, who is super upset as it is,” she asked. “This is definitely not the day, the time, the place. Like, your timing sucks.” “Not on Easter,” Melissa added. “This conversation gets my skin crawling because I get instant flashbacks of the pain that Joe went through years ago over conversations that were similar.” “I know my husband. When you push him, and you constantly say the same thing to him over and over again, I know he’s going to explode. Joe is a ticking time bomb. It’s going to happen.” Joe made it clear that he was getting sick of the way Teresa was acting.  “You gotta cut that out,” he snapped at Teresa. “You always bring that up in front of Daddy. ‘Oh you work too much, you’re not around.’ Listen to me, if I was sitting in a bar all day, if I was sitting in restaurants, that’s a different story. But what am I going to do? When you put in 15 hours a day, hard work? I’m exhausted.” “You know my life. You know the business, it’s crazy. I work hardcore, all day, every day, nonstop. Unbelievable stresses,” Joe added. “My business takes all my freakin time. Is he going to pay my bills? No one pays my bills. What am I going to do, just give it all up?” That was not all Teresa had to say, however.  “I’m just saying, he bitches to me all the time,” she complained. “I got to hear him! ‘Your brother don’t call me. It’s been five days.’“ “Since I’ve lost my mom, holidays are more emotional. I’m just trying to make the holiday as best as I can for my dad. I just want to make him happy. He needs that,” Teresa said, addressing the cameras. “Before I went away, I spent a lot of time with my mom. And right now all I can think about is how when I came home, I wished I spent more time with my mom. So it’s frustrating that my brother makes the effort to see my dad just on a holiday.” Teresa’s daughter, Gia, turned to her uncle Joe with her take on what was going on.  “It’s not fair,” said the teenager. “We get it so much from Nonno, you don’t even know. I know you have work, trust me, I know. But if you don’t call him for a day, he says something. … At least just try, in a week, just one designated day for Nonno.” But there was no getting through to Joe who maintained that he was a busy man.  “I don’t give a s—,” yelled Teresa. “You have to make time. In life, that’s how it is. Capeesh?” While the fighting simmered down and everyone enjoyed the rest of the day, Joe confirmed in a confessional that he was mad at his sister.  “Teresa was always like this when we were kids,” Joe admitted. “When it came to me, she would rat me out. Why are you still doing this? It’s going to cause a big problem again, which we don’t need.” As if that wasn’t enough drama, Margaret informed Danielle that she was going to an event hosted by Dolores and things got a little bit crazy.  “She invited me to this thing–,” said Margaret BUT Danielle butted in.  “And you coulda said, ‘No, I’m not coming because that will make Danielle very upset and very hurt. It’ll hurt her!’ Because you coulda said, ‘This would hurt me if the tables were turned.’ You coulda said anything but, ‘Yes, I’ll come.'” As Margaret tried to calm Danielle down, the former main cast member decided to storm off, but she came back with a parting shot: “What is it that you two really have in common? You cheated on your husband, and she got cheated on?” That has got to be one of the best one-liners in the history of the series, and just like that, it looks like another friendship is over.  What are your thoughts on all the drama?
