The Bachelor Season 23: When Does It Premiere?

As has been explained and detailed many times over the past few months, Colton Underwood has never been inside a woman. But ABC has now announced the date on which he’ll premiere inside The Bachelor Mansion as the lead star in this ever-popular franchise. The network just confirmed that Season 23 of The Bachelor will kick off on January 7, 2019. The former football player first competed for Becca Kufrin’s heart on Season 14 of The Bachelorette this year — and he later shattered Tia Booth’s heart on Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise. Underwood has been making his reality show rounds, but, as he’s mentioned on multiple occasions, he’s never gone all around the bases with a woman. We don’t mean to keep hammering this point home, but you better believe ABC will continue to promote Underwood as a virgin all throughout his upcoming season. “I’m very excited,” Underwood said on Good Morning America two months ago, adding: “Third time’s a charm.’ That’s what they say, right? That’s what I’m hoping for.” Colton also seems aware that his selection as the Bachelor wasn’t met with universal praise. Some critics out there think he’s too boring; too vanilla; not horny or lewd enough to be entertaining. He’s aware of what these folks have been saying and he’s trying to stay above it all. “People hate what they don’t understand & try to destroy it,” Underwood Tweeted in early September , adding: “Only try to keep yourself clear and don’t allow that destructive force to spoil something that to you is so simple, natural & beautiful.” You can’t deny that he seems like an incredibly nice guy, but that almost seems to be the problem Bachelor fans have with him. Underwood actually met three of the women competing for his affection when he taped an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show this fall. He told the comedian at the time that he’s looking for someone who is a “good person” and “could be a good mother” one day. Hear that, potential suitors?!? “I feel like I was born to be a dad,” the 26-year old added. “I’m super excited about this.” As for what else Underwood is hoping to find on the show? Other qualification he has for a future wife? Colton sounds open to almost anything or anyone, but did say the following to Ellen: “I like to be challenged in a relationships. “My motto for this season is to live in the moment. I’m going to be present and just enjoy myself and have fun. The other two shows, I had to deal with some situations. Lorde to Kanye West: You Ganked My Stage Ideas, Bruh!!

Last week, Kanye West was forced to flee as shots were fired on set . Also, everywhere near his primary residence is on fire. Now, he’s facing accuastions from Lorde that he totally ripped off her stage designs for his shows. And she has the photo comparisons to back up her claim. Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s “Kids See Ghosts” Tour has attracted the wrong kind of attention. Lorde, the absolute legend who won a Grammy before graduating high school, took to her Instagram Stories. There, she shared a series of images noting what she found to be a suspicious similarity between her tour’s stage design and Kanye’s. The suspended box design, creating a second floor to the stage without taking up any stage space, is pretty difficult to miss. Did Kanye really steal the work? Lorde suggests so with a few words. “I’m proud of the work I do,” Lorde wrote in reflection. “And it’s flattering when other artists feel inspired by it,” she continued. Lorde clarified about that flattered feeling: “to the extent that they choose to try it on themselves.” “But don’t steal,” she insists. “Not from women or anyone else,” Lorde writes. “Not in 2018 or ever.” Es Devlin is a designer who has worked closely with Lorde. “It’s hard to come up with stuff that feels new,” Lorde shared in 2017. “And with the tank it felt weird and interesting and quite specific to me,” Lorde shared. She spoke of her collaboration with Devlin: “The two of us just built it from the ground up, bouncing ideas back and forth.” Devlin has also very notably worked with Kanye for many, many years. In an apparent response to Lorde’s post, Devlin made a post on Instagram showing a similar “box” in the opera, Carmen , by Georges Bizet. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that someone has noticed that Kanye’s stage design seems similar to another. Last time, it was this image (above) of hanging lights. Kim Kardashian herself took aim at Saint Laurent, suggesting that Kanye’s set design had been ripped off. (One could argue that no one gets to lay claim to the concept of hanging lights, but it really doesn’t matter) That makes defending Kanye against Lorde a little complicated. That is, assuming that Ye has any defenders left who aren’t in his bed or on his payroll. Some could cynically suggest that Lorde is being opportunistic. Lorde is famously friends with Taylor Swift. Even more famously, Taylor and Kanye have a serious beef. In 2016, Kim orchestrated Taylor’s temporary downfall. Now, however, Taylor is back. Meanwhile, Kanye chose 2018 as the year to purge himself of any lingering goodwill that the public may have for him. Is Lorde just kicking Kanye while he’s down by attacking his art? So, did Lorde jump the gun by indirectly accusing Kanye of ripping off her work? Did Kanye and Lorde just come up with similar ideas? (Great trains run along the same tracks, if Kanye is still considered to be “great”) Or did Es Devlin rip off a design from an opera and then pass it off to both artists? We would suggest that it’s more likely (and also kinder) to suggest that no one is stealing from anyone. Stages only have so many possible designs, folks. That said, we can understand why Lorde might be sensitive on the topic. There is a widespread phenomenon, from business meetings to the art world, of men duplicating a woman’s ideas and receiving credit for it. Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham: Baby on the Way!

Months ago on The Bachelor, Arie Luyendyk Jr. asked Lauren Burnham to accept his final rose. (Well, sort of.) Now, Arie Luyendyk Jr. has asked Lauren Burnham to accept something else: His DNA! In the form of a life growing inside of Burnham’s womb! That’s right, folks, Arie and Lauren are expecting a child together! The reality stars confirmed this blessed piece of news themselves to Us Weekly, with Lauren telling the tabloid for its latest issue: “I kind of had a feeling that I might be pregnant. So my friend insisted on bringing a pregnancy test over. “Arie came out with the test in his hand and tears in his eyes. He was like, ‘You’re pregnant!’” This is both very exciting for Arie and Lauren and also very surprising: few couples that meet and fall in love on The Bachelor remain together, let alone procreate together. But perhaps drama is somehow the key to happiness. Jason Mesnick and Molly Mesnick had a baby and are very happily married to this day… after the latter dumped the woman he chose on his season’s finale and asked Molly out on the After the Rose special. Similarly, Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham were at the center of a controversial story line on Season 20. After Arie proposed to Becca Kufrin on his finale, he visited her several weeks later and – in front of an ABC cameraman – broke up with her in favor of Burnham. The pair got engaged on the After the Final Rose special in March of 2016 and are set to exchange vows in January of 2019 in Hawaii. “I’ve made some bad decisions but the best decision was running back to you,” Arie told Lauren during the proposal, adding: “I can’t imagine a life without you. … I truly believe you are my soulmate. I’m ready to face this life with you and all that comes with it. The good, and the bad. I love you so much.” Very sweet words, no doubt. They were just clouded a bit at the time by the fact that Arie had only recently proposed to Becca before doing the same with Lauren. (Becca, of course, went on to become The Bachelorette and is currently engaged herself, waiting to have a baby . So everyone has ended up happy here!) Said Burnham ths summer during a visit to The View, in regard to an eventual marriage: “We’re just really happy with each other, and we vibe well together. We’re best friends, so we’re just ready for that next step.” Speaking to Us Weekly, meanwhile, Arie confirmed that he and Lauren weren’t really thinking of starting a family just yet. But these things happen sometimes. “We weren’t trying, but we are so excited. It’s going to be a whole new chapter in our lives,” he said. And the guy is clearly in love. This is what he wrote on Instagram last week, as a caption to a photo of himself and Lauren: I can’t sleep… the house is quiet, you’re next to me. I woke up and you were wrapped in my arms, our pups on the floor next to us. Now I lay awake wanting to fast forward our lives but in the same breath push pause and not let these eyes close for too long because this is what true love feels like.

Kylie is nearly a billionaire ; Kendall is one of the world's most famous models, and the rest of the sisters remain constant subjects of fascination in tabloids and on social media. Of course, that leaves Rob … who's not having such an easy time these days. In fact, Rob says he can't afford to pay child support to his baby mama, Blac Chyna  As you may have guessed, Chyna's not interested in hearing his excuses. Take a look: 1. Better Days Blac and Rob’s relationship was very brief and very volatile. But because it resulted in the birth of daughter Dream Kardashian, these two are bonded for life. 2. Bitter Breakup Rob and Blac parted ways in ugly fashion. There were allegations of assault and infidelity, and Rob even posted intimate photos as “revenge porn.” 3. Living the Dream But something beautiful came out of all that ugliness. Rob became a dad, and Blac became a mother of two when little Dream entered the world in 2016. 4. The Settlement It was initially agreed that Rob would pay Dream $20,000 per month for child support — chump change in the Kardashians’ world. 5. Rob Claps Back Of course, we suppose it was only a matter of time before Rob’s lawyers petitioned to “modify” that agreement. 6. Sofia Richie: Worried Scott Disick is Cheating on Her … with Kourtney Kardashian!!

Even though Sofia Richie, Scott Disick, and Kourtney Kardashian met for what must have been a very awkward dinner last week, Sofia has lingering concerns. Her much older boyfriend shares three kids and years of memories with Kourt. According to a report, Sofia can’t shake the feeling that he’s dumb enough to step out on her and is boinking his ex. According to a report by Heat magazine, Sofia is haunted by the suspicion that Scott is cheating on her with Kourtney. “Sofia puts on a brave face in public,” an insider claims. “But,” the source says. “She seems jealous as hell about Scott and Kourtney recently.” Recently , huh? It sounds like either the honeymoon phase of her romance with Scott is over … or Sofia fears that it is. The insider reports: “People are worried that she’s losing her grip on the situation.” Part of that situation involves Sofia’s feelings and her reactions. Per the report, Sofia recently saw Scott texting Kourtney “right in front of her” and “she hit the roof.” Obviously, he shares three kids with her; texting her is normal. Even so, it can be hard to see the one you loved in contact with their ex. “[Sofia] heavily suspects that Scott and Kourt have been sleeping together,” the source says. “And,” the insider continues. “While she’s able to put it out of her mind most of the time, sometimes it just consumes her.” Apparently Sofia even mustered the resolve to bring it up with Scott. “Sofia confronted him about the situation,” the source claims. “But,” the insider continues. “He fobbed her off and just rolled his eyes.” That sounds rude. Even an absurd accusation still comes from a place of real emotion. “He really takes her for granted,” the source characterizes. “And, the insider claims, Scott “gets upset when she tries to stick up for herself.” Yikes. Apparently, Scott’s expectations are starting to bother even his lovestruck girlfriend. “Sofia’s starting to open her eyes more about how unreasonable Scott is,” the source reports. Fans shouldn’t expect her to cut her losses any time soon, however. “But ultimately,” the insider laments. “She’s still under his spell.” One wonders how long that — or their relationship — will last. First of all, it is pretty clear that this inside source is decidedly in favor of Sofia parting ways with Scott. For that reason alone, we should take this report with a grain of salt. (Also, sometimes, reports are just wrong — that’s how life is. If we find one that we’re sure is accurate, we’ll tell you) But based upon this report, it looks like the truth of the matter falls into one of three categories. One, maybe Scott really is stepping out on Sofia with Kourtney. If so, that’s not fair to Sofia or even the Kourtney. He should .. not do that. Two, maybe Scott is being one-hundred-percent faithful to Sofia and she’s just imagining things and getting worked up over nothing. If so, that’s more or less what Scott should have expected when he started seriously dating a teen. (She’s twenty, now, but she’s still very young, and her emotions may still be overpowering and raw) Then there’s door number three. What if Sofia suspects that Scott is cheating and she’s right, but she’s totally missed the mark on it being with Kourtney? Gosh, that sounds like a nightmare for her. Armie Hammer Blasts Everyone Who Tweeted a Stan Lee Selfie

Hollywood lost a legend this week. As previously reported,  Stan Lee died at the age of 95 . It didn't take long after this news broke for scores of tributes to come flooding in for the co-creator of Marvel, someone responsible for entertaining and educating millions upon millions of comic book fans. Many of these tributes, especially from celebrites, included a photo of the person making the tribute and Lee. Together. It was often a selfie. What's the big deal? Isn't this a typical move in the social media age? Yes, and Hammer is here to explain why it's the wrong move — while many others are here to disagree with him… 1. The Tweet That Started It All “So touched by all of the celebrities posting pictures of themselves with Stan Lee… no better way to commemorate an absolute legend than putting up a picture of yourself,” wrote Hammer. 2. Who is This Really About? Hammer is trying to make a bigger point about social media here, how it leads to user making EVERYthing about themselves. 3. 90 Day Fiance Star Larissa Returns To Instagram After Arrest, Calls Herself a "Survivor"

Things for 90 Day Fiance stars Colt and Larissa took a somewhat scary turn after Larissa was arrested for domestic battery . Her arrest followed an argument in which she locked herself in the bathroom and begged her followers for help. Now, however, she’s out on bond, and she and Colt want to assure everyone that everything’s fine, actually . After being released on bond, Larissa put out a statement on her Instagram Story. “Hello everyone,” Larissa begins. “Thank you for the support and love,” she says. “I am safe and resting.” “The past 48 hours have been the most difficult in my life,” the 31-year-old Brazilian woman admits. “But reading the messages from all of you has made me smile,” Larissa writes. “God bless and thank you,” she concludes, promising: “I’ll update soon.” Upon her return to Instagram, Larissa changed her frantic-cry-for-help bio so that it read “survivor.” That, particularly from someone who is not a native English speaker, is very cryptic. She has since changed the profile on her still-private Instagram to something more general about how she’s a 90 Day Fiance star. Larissa also shared the above photo of her and Colt at an aquarium. “People are asking about me and Colt, sending message to him (I read everything),” she writes in the caption. Larissa affirms: “We are together and strong. We just choose [to not] expose it.” What she means by that is that they have decided to not go into detail about what went down — not yet, anyway. For his part, Colt decided to take aim at people who were trying to figure out what happened between them. “Self proclaimed internet sleuths who think they are Woodward and Bernstein,” Colt’s Instagram post begins. Colt continues: “They are simply people that spread misinformation, lies, and chaos to make themselves look important.” “They are nothing and will never be relevant,” Colt declares. He and Larissa had both posted about what had happened between them, but it looks like he didn’t care for the people who were spinning theories. Honestly, that message is a little hostile. We strongly prefer when Colt posts cat photos. As we mentioned, both 90 Day Fiance stars — who were married last June — had spoken about the fight. Larissa had claimed that she was upset with Colt for not being open about their marriage on social media. She said that he’d brought home flowers but when they continued to fight, he’d knocked over shelves. She then said that he’d deactivated her wifi and took her phone, which caused her to panic. She hid in the bathroom and used a tablet to try to convince her followers to message Colt and tell him to reconnect her. Larissa also expressed a fear that Colt would call the police. Ultimately, it looks like someone — perhaps a fan — called the police. “Larissa was arrested this afternoon,” Colt shared on Instagram over the weekend. “She suffers from high anxiety and several [sic] depression.” “She overreacted to problems that do not exist,” Colt claimed. “I proceeded to deactivate her phone to try to defuse the situation. This escalated issues and matters became worse,” he admitted. Colt realized: “She felt this action was a threat towards her and tried to reach out for help.” “Not long after her cry was posted,” he said. “The police came and knocked down the front door. They drew their guns at me and handcuffed me.” It sounds like both of them feared for their safety at one point. “The police interviewed us,” Colt said. “But not long after they decided to arrest Larissa.” “No one was hurt and I did not press charges against my wife,” Colt clarified. “However,” he explained. “It is policy in the state of Nevada that since we are in a domestic partnership, someone had to be arrested.” So that is Colt’s side of the story. Even if no one was really hurt, everything about that sounds toxic. We hope that nothing like it ever happens again. Amber Portwood Melts Down In Bizarre Instagram Rant: I Am NOT a Bad Mom!

We think it's safe to say Amber Portwood is going through a bit of a tough time. Over the course of the past two weeks, Amber has gotten emotional on social media multiple times while discussing recent events in her life. And she's not exactly welling up with joy. Amber recently “quit” Teen Mom OG over what she says is bullying and harassment from fans. It's unclear if she'll actually be leaving the show, but in the week since, she's complained about poor treatment from viewers several more times. And last night, she delivered what might be her most emotional tirade to date. Take a look: 1. Tough Times Amber appears to be stuck in a downward spiral these days. The Teen Mom OG star is now in the habit of unleashing her anger toward fans in bizarre social media rants. 2. When the Bullied Becomes the Bully Amber has accused TMOG viewers of bullying her, but as many have pointed out, she’s recently engaged in quite a bit of behavior that could be described as bullying. 3. Crossing the Line In the first of her recent rants, Amber threatened to get violent with fans and insulted one of her followers by referring to them using the R-word. 4. Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Shortly thereafter, Amber took to Twitter to deliver another rant, this time threatening to quit the show that made her famous. 5. In Case It Wasn’t Clear … “I can’t do this anymore,” Amber tweeted. Shortly thereafter, she followed that up with “I have to quit this show.” 6. Amber’s Heartache “The heartache this show has put me through is too much to bear anymore,” she continued. “If I will not be shown then there’s nothing more to do. Alaskan Bush People Star Ami Brown Grieves Death of Estranged Mother

Now that Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown has checked out of rehab , things should be smooth sailing for the Brown family. Sadly, they have now suffered a tragic loss. No one should have to lose their mother at any age, but that is just what has happened to Ami Brown. RadarOnline   reports that Ami Brown’s estranged mother, Earlene Branson, has died. “Ami’s mother has died,” their insider reports. According to the source, “Ami is rather upset about this.” She’s upset despite — or perhaps because of — their estrangement. The insider explains that Ami is saddened “because she never got the opportunity to reconcile with her mom.” Earlene, the source says, is a woman “who tried for years and years to see her daughter.” Earlene Branson, pictured here, passed away at the age of 85. Ami never got the reunion and potential healing with her mother that she wanted. “There is nothing that she can do,” the insider laments. “It’s too late,” the source says of Ami’s feelings. “She’s gone.” Earlene and Les Branson — Les being Ami’s brother — apparently tried to visit Ami in Alaska not too long ago. Ami was, at the time, out of state. Despite the estrangement and some unresolved resentments, Earlene’s obituary does mention her daughter. “Her daughter Ami Brown is a star of the hit television show Alaskan Bush People,” the obituary reads. “Which airs on the Discovery Channel.” As recently as last year, RadarOnline spoke to Earlene and Les about their continued separation from Ami. Apparently, they very nearly had a little family reunion. “She said, ‘We’re going to come see you on Billy’s book signing tour, we’ll come down and see you,’” claimed Les. “We were very excited,” Les admitted. “Thinking we were going to get to see her.” Sadly, it never happened. “I found out later that they drove right by,” Les lamented. “And Billy wouldn’t let her stop and see any of us” “We were absolutely heartbroken,” he shared. At the time, Les added: “We’re still waiting to see Ami.” But they’ve been unable to do so for some time. “And we know,” Les accused. “It’s all because of Billy!” We of course cannot confirm that Billy either did or did not prevent Ami from visiting her mother and brother. It’s not that big of a surprise that they would regard Billy as the villain. They’ve harbored a grudge ever since 15-year-old Ami ran off with 26-year-old Billy. (That’s right; their 11-year age difference might not mean much now , but it sure did when Ami was young) Estrangements are complicated things, and it is only natural to look for one single villain when there are probably many factors. Family reunions can just be awkward, folks. We are so sorry for Ami’s loss, and for Les’ loss, and for all of Earlene’s loved ones. But there is a silver lining to this grim news. Earlene had many, many grandchildren — and now even has some great-grandchildren. Ami and Billy’s children have five first-cousins on Ami’s side whom they could meet. And those are just Earlene’s grandchildren. Earlene was also a great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother to, added together, 13 others. Lauren Swanson is Pregnant… Fans Think for One Very Odd Reason

It took a month into Lauren Swanson’s marriage to Josiah Duggar for the world to ask the only real question that matters when it comes to a new member of this latter family. Is she pregnant yet? Fans started pondering this possibility in early August, just weeks after Lauren and Josiah exchanged vows — but they had no real basis for the speculation. They just figured: Hey, these two are now married and have therefore had sex! A baby must be on the way! In fairness to those churning this particular rumor mill, this is often how the Duggars roll. They get married. They quickly procreate. They share cute photos of their newborn. And then they have a bunch more. Swanson and Duggar are sort of got married out of nowhere in late June, shocking fans by confirming they had tied the knot in Arkansas and leading many to presume they did so because… yup, you guessed it… … because Swanson was already pregnant. At this point, however, Swanson would be showing if that were the case — and she’s not, so it was a false claim at the time. Could it be true now, though?!? Might Swanson and Duggar be expecting their first child? A handful of social media users are convinced this is the case, although their reason for presuming so isn’t exactly based on very hard evidence. Not sure why she’d hide all her boards, though,” one user wrote in response to seeing the above message. And another agreed: “Maybe she’s pregnant and made it private! Idk if you can do that though…” There was also this similar opinion; “Oohh. Hhmm wonder if she’s pinning baby stuff. You know girl is probably pregnant. She’s 19 and probably fertile AF.” And then another person simply wrote: “Preggo!” This alleged proof of Swanson’s pregnancy is flimsy at best, but, hey, it’s possible. If she isn’t expecting now, she probably will be in the near future.
