Teen Mom 2 fans have watched Leah Messer face just about every challenge a mother can endure over the course of the eight years. But perhaps nothing has brought the long-suffering mother of three more strife than the health issues suffered by her daughter Ali . Ali was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy shortly after birth, and while her parents have consistently sought the best treatment available, there's no guarantee that her condition won't deteriorate with age. This ongoing battle was the focus of Messer's storyline on Monday's episode of TM2, and fans were deeply moved by Leah and her ex-husband's efforts to set aside their differences in order to do what's best for their beloved daughter. 1. Courageous Ali Fans have been rooting for Ali and her indomitable spirit ever since she first entered the world alongside her twin sister eight years ago. 2. Supportive Sisters At times, Ali’s difficulty with walking and other basic motor functions may be rendered even more difficult by her twin sister Gracie’s natural athleticism. The Roloffs are not the Kardashians. We mostly tune in to Little People, Big World each week because we want to see a bunch of relatives interact who basically just enjoy each other's company. They don't fight. They don't exploit each other. There's very little drama and almost no controversy. ALMOST , we said. Over the years, various members of this close-knit family have had run-ins with the law, clashes with social media users and taken part in other scandalous affairs that may come as a surprise. We still love Matt, Amy and company. As you are about to find out, however, they are not perfect… 1. Jacob Dropped Out of High School And he didn’t do so quietly, either, engaging on Twitter with someone who gave him props to his “high intellect,” but critcized him for dropping out in protest of public institutions, to which Jacob replied: “If you can tell my intellectual level with me not having finished formal high school, why do I still need it? Just to say so?” He added that he had a “hard time being excited” for his friends going to a four-year college. “I think you could learn a lot more for a lot less.” 2. Matt Got Arrested for Drunk Driving The incident took place in 2007, after he was stopped near his home for swerve in and out and his lane. Six months after the arrest, he was found not guilty in court. 3. Jeremy the… Bigot? Way back in 2008, Jeremy Roloff was accused of writing racist and homophobic messages on his MySpace account. The situation was brought to everyone’s attention by the National Enquirer story excerpted above. The messages at the time insulted African-Americans, Mexicans and gay people. 4. Jacob the… Drug User? We can’t say this one is too stunning, but Jacob once Tweeted: “Who doesn’t suck at selling weed Hmu.” That acronym stands for Hit Me Up. 5. Roloff Farms… Sued? Yes. In 2011, a Washington woman named Linda Farrall alleged that she was injured due to a fall from a picnic pavilion at the property. She sued the Roloffs for negligence and the case was settled out of court. 6. Jacob Accuses Producers of… Stealing? Maybe your Teen Mom OG viewing began a little later in the series, and hearing Amber’s name brings back memories of the greasy horror that was Matt Baier. There’s also a chance that the way she picked up Andrew Glennon while on Marriage Boot Camp with Matt sticks out the most in your mind, or how she went on to get pregnant with his child after knowing him for like two weeks. Basically, Amber has always been a mess. A great big one. She’s violent, rude, self-centered, and just so many bad things. But the weird thing is that lately, she’s been kind of … nice? She went off on a few of her classic Twitter rants during her pregnancy — she’s never been great to turn down a chance to tell everyone what a “damn good mom” she is, even after getting called out for only seeing Leah twice during her summer vacation last year. But as she got closer and closer to her due date, she seemed to calm down a lot, and after giving birth to a seriously adorable baby boy she named James back in May, she’s been almost serene. It’s been nothing but calm, sweet social media posts, including the most precious pictures of her new baby . And in this new interview she did with Us Weekly, she explains why she’s been so different lately … Because this time around, she wants to be a damn good mom, for real! About her first go at motherhood, she admits “I was clueless.” “I didn’t want to ask questions because I didn’t want to sound young or stupid. This is a chance for me to really show what kind of mother I am.” Leah’s is going to be 10 years old in November, so Amber’s had plenty of time to show what kind of mother she is with her, but sure, let’s focus on the baby, whatever. “Before, I wasn’t mature nor was the relationship right,” she explains. “I want to make sure I don’t fall into old patterns and get into a depressed state.” “I have to take care of myself. Healthy mommy, healthy baby.” She also says that unlike back when she and Gary had Leah, “I’m more driven and have the means to take care of a baby better.” No one would argue that a 28-year-old would have an easier time raising a baby than an 18-year-old, but isn’t it a little odd how she’s acting like she’s completely done with parenting Leah, like she had her chance but it’s gone now? Anyway, as for Andrew, Amber says “He is such an amazing man and loves taking care of James.” “He was afraid of postpartum depression, so he’s always checking up on me. He just wants to make sure I’m loved. It’s almost perfect.” We’re sure we’ll see that “almost” part in the next season of Teen Mom OG — after all, Amber is known for her habit of making things seem perfect on social media before everyone sees how messy things actually are on the show. But for now, we hope things really are going as well as they seem to be. We also hope she realizes that she still has a chance to be a great mother to Leah, but one thing at a time, right? Another mass shooting has taken place in America. On Thursday afternoon, a gunman broke into the offices of The Capital Gazette in Maryland, opening fire and killing at least five individuals and wounding many others. According to law enforcement officials, an unnamed suspect is in custody, but very little is known about him at the moment. (UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as 38-year old Jarrod Ramos. He once filed a defamation lawsuit against the newspaper that was thrown out.) We can confirm, however, that the suspect was found hiding under a desk inside the building and that a package (or carrying device of some kind), which contained a flammable liquid, was discovered near him on the ground. Police have also said the suspect was an adult male and that he used a “long gun” to carry out his massacre. More than 170 people were in the building during the shooting; those who did not suffer any injuries were evacuated and taken to a reunification area. Among those unharmed was reporter Phil Davis, who has made headlines for Tweeting a few details from the awful incident. “There is nothing more terrifying than hearing multiple people get shot while you’re under your desk and then hear the gunman reload,” Davis Tweeted at one point on Thursday, adding: “Gunman shot through the glass door to the office and opened fire on multiple employees. Can’t say much more and don’t want to declare anyone dead, but it’s bad. “A single shooter shot multiple people at my office, some of whom are dead.” In a later interview posted on the newspaper’s website, Davis said the scene inside the newspaper’s office “was like a war zone,” expounding: “I’m a police reporter. “I write about this stuff – not necessarily to this extent, but shootings and death – all the time. But as much as I’m going to try to articulate how traumatizing it is to be hiding under your desk, you don’t know until you’re there and you feel helpless.” Elsewhere, Jimmy DeButts, an editor at the Capital Gazette, Tweeted that he was “devastated & heartbroken,” explaining why it is he and his co-workers do the jobs they do: We keep doing more with less. We find ways to cover high school sports, breaking news, tax hikes, school budgets & local entertainment.. We are there in times of tragedy. “We do our best to share the stories of people, those who make our community better. Please understand, we do all this to serve our community.” Along these lines, the newspaper has said it has no plans of going on hiatus or taking any sort of break. “I can tell you this: We are putting out a damn paper tomorrow,” reporter Chase Cook Tweeted. President Donald Trump, has has often referred to the press as the “enemy of the people,” something he reiterated two days ago at a rally in South Carolina, chimed in as follows on social media: “Prior to departing Wisconsin, I was briefed on the shooting at Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland. “My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. Thank you to all of the First Responders who are currently on the scene.” Added the First Lady on Twitter: “Today’s violence at the Capital Gazette was tragic & evil. “My heart goes out to all affected in this brutal & senseless attack, & I send thoughts & prayers for comfort to the friends, family & colleagues of those killed & injured.” Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Lt. Ryan Frashure said that officers were on the scene “very, very quickly, I think it was around 60 seconds or a minute-and-a-half” after receiving the call about the active shooter. As of this writing, the suspect is said to not be cooperating with police. Here is a look at the building where the shooting took place: Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has also released a statement about this shooting at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, saying at a press conference: “We are terribly saddened by the loss of five members of our community in today’s heinous shooting. “The Capital Gazette is my hometown paper, and I have the greatest respect for the fine journalists, and all the men and women, who work there. “They serve each day to shine light on the world around us so that we might see with more clarity and greater understanding. “There is no place in our society for this kind of hatred and violence, and the individual responsible for this horrendous crime must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” UPDATE : Anne Arundel Police Deputy Chief Bill Krampf has now confirmed this was a “targeted attack” against the newspaper.
After Jimmy Fallon tried to walk back some of his 2016 friendliness towards Donald Trump, the POTUS let him have it on Twitter. Specifically, Trump demanded that Jimmy Fallon “man up” and not apologize for humanizing Trump during a critical election year. Fallon responded by donating to a group working to help immigrants. He also went after Trump in a monologue. Watch! So, Jimmy Fallon expressed regrets for that shameful incident in which he had Donald Trump on as a guest during the 2016 election. At the time, Fallon ruffled Trump's hair as if Trump were just some eccentric reality star and not a clear and present danger to American ideals and freedoms. Trump saw Fallon's regrets and, as he is want to do, flipped out on Twitter. So Jimmy Fallon responded in his monologue. “Before we begin,” Fallon tells his audience. “I just wanna give a shout out to our show’s number one fan — the President of the United States!” Picking up on his intention, the audience applauds — something that you're not likely to hear Trump elicit outside of one of his infamous rallies. Jimmy sets the stage. “As you may have heard last night,” Fallon says, explaining the premise. “The President of the United States went after me on Twitter.” “So Melania, if you're watching, I don't think your anti-bullying campaign is working.” Melania's proposed bullying campaign has been a source of many jokes, even before she shared that it was called “Be Best.” It seems that Melania doesn't really care . “When I saw that Trump insulted me on Twitter,” Fallon explains. “I was gonna tweet back immediately, but I thought, 'I have more important things to do.'” That line, of course, is just a set-up for his punchline. “Then I thought, 'Wait, shouldn't he have more important things to do?!'” Fallon exclaims. “He's the president! What are you doing? Why are you tweeting at me?” Many have lamented that Trump spends so much time on Twitter. But that pales beside his record-breaking time spent golfing. “Crazy,” Fallon says. “The President went after me on Twitter. It's pretty much the only thing I have in common with NFL players.” Trump has, of course, been famously critical of football players who kneel in protest of rampant anti-black violence. “In response,” Fallon says, reiterating what he had already tweeted. “I made a donation in Trump's name to the Refugee And Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services.” RAICES is an organization that many see as the perfect counter to Trump's preference of placing refugees, asylum seekers, and others who cross the border in internment camps. “Or RAICES,” Fallon says, leading up to his next joke. “When Trump heard that, he was like: 'I love RAICES, they're my favorite peanutbutter cup.'” Fallon then proceeds to deliver some mild burns to Trump. “A new poll found that 58 percent of Americans think President Trump is intelligent,” Fallon cites. Sorry if that statistic crushes the final vestiges of anyone's lingering faith in humanity or the American public. Fallon jokes: “In response, Trump was like, 'Ok, what did the other 58 percent say?'” Fallon then moves on to poking fun at Trump's lack of geopolitical savvy. “And today at the White House, Trump met with the King and Queen of Jordan,” Fallon says. “Which got awkward when Trump thanked the King of Jordan for giving us Michael.” That line refers to Michael Jordan, a famous baseball player. Fallon then went on to make quips about Sarah Huckabee Sanders getting asked to leave a restaurant and then about Trump's angry Twitter response that better resembled a Yelp review. Is Jimmy Fallon especially funny? Not in this monologue. (You can enjoy the monologue because of its politics without finding it to be a laugh riot) Should he be forgiven for his hair-ruffling humanization of Donald Trump during such a critical election year? Probably not, but history will be the judge. But it is definitely not appropriate for the President of the United States to use his position to attack comedians. Or restaurants. Or political rivals. Or, you know, people with brown skin. Considering that Trump locked up a couple thousand kids in cages and called for Samantha Bee to be fired , his attack on Fallon was relatively mild. Good for Fallon for using the opportunity to donate to a good cause, though. He deserves credit for that.
It’s been over six months since the world learned that Jinger Duggar is pregnant with her first child . The announcement came much later than expected, not only because Jinger broke the Duggar tradition of getting pregnant almost immediately after saying “I do,” but also because she waited until her second trimester to share the news with fans. Now, it looks as though Jeremy and Jinger might be keeping yet another big secret from their adoring public. Jeremy posted the above photo to his Instagram account today, and fans are convinced it’s his way of hinting that Jinger is knocked up. It’s a bit of a stretch, but the theory goes something like this: As you can see, that’s the most recent photo of Jinger’s baby bump. She usually posts just about every day, but this pic is several days old. So Jeremy posted a slightly outdated image, along with a caption reading simply, “ETA: Soon.” Again, hardly a definitive announcement, but we suppose it’s not hard to see why some fans have jumped to conclusions. “Is she in labor?!” one fan asked point-blank. “Hope she’s in labor and has a smooth delivery!” another remarked. Several fans cut right to the chase and commented simply, “Congrats!” The Vuolos have yet to respond. And that’s interesting, as many fans think this is a case in which their silence speaks volumes. But even more interesting is the fact that Jeremy’s pic launched an intense conversation about the sinfulness of iWatches. Yes, iWatches. Apparently, two of Jeremy’s nuttier followers believe the popular Apple device is the work of the devil, and since Jinger is wearing one in the pic, they figured this would be the perfect time to share that opinion. “You can’t evolve and love thy God … I don’t believe in it. Didn’t evolve from a money or ape and I hope Jinger isn’t evolving either that would be so sad,” wrote Nutjob 1. “iWatch makes sin automatic. Same with the Apple phones,” Nutjob 2 replied, adding: “Pornographers is up 689% since 2007 when Aphone came out. iWatch is going to double that with all the porn on the watch. As is so often the case for 90 Day Fiance couples, things haven’t always been so good for Nicole Nafziger and Azan.Tefou. They’ve been trying to make this work for ages. Azan ghosted Nicole at the last reunion. And this week’s episode showed Azan flirting with other women. Now, one of Nicole’s family members has come forward to reveal that they’ve called off their wedding. Are Nicole and Azan over? Nicole’s father, Joe Fouraker, tells RadarOnline that Nicole had to cancel her wedding to Azan and return home to Florida. “They called it off,” Joe reports. Nicole has returned to the U.S. from Morocco as of May 21. Joe explains: “They said the timing wasn’t right.” Sometimes, that’s a euphemism for relationship troubles. In this case, its meaning is literal. Nicole had moved to Morocco to marry Azan in preparation for him coming back to the U.S. with her and obtaining citizenship. But her visa ran out. Literally, the timing was not right. Joe is not exactly hiding his feelings or mincing words about Nicole’s canceled wedding. He says that this turn of events was proof that his and his wife’s “prayers were answered.” Joe and his wife Robbalee, you see, are not big fans of Azan. But despite the canceled wedding and the move back home, Joe reveals that the two of them are still together. “Is she going back to get married?” Joe asks, admitting: “I don’t know.” Obviously, he is rooting for them to not tie the knot. So, how are things for Nicole and Azan these days? Joe reveals: “She still talks to him.” Well, that makes since, given that they are still engaged. “I think she still intends to go back” to Morocco, Joe guesses. At the very least, he says, she would need to return for one very important belonging. Joe reveals: “The wedding dress is still there.” Nicole didn’t return to Florida by choice. “She had to come back here,” Joe explains. “She was there for almost six months,” Nicole’s father says of her stint in Morocco. That would explain why her visa ran out. “She is now living with her sister in a mobile home,” he says. “Her daughter May is with her.” On this week’s episode, 90 Day Fiance viewers were treated to a less-than-happy scene. In it, Azan appeared to be cheating on Nicole. “I want a kiss right now,” Azan could be heard saying. “The kiss was good.” Different relationships come with different boundaries, but this is usually not what people want to hear their fiance saying to other girls. “What did you dream about last night?” Azan asked. “I think you want it.” Azan explained to Nicole that his behavior was the result of alcohol, not a desire to stray. Joe doesn’t think much of all of that. “He had an explanation,” Joe says. “And said, ‘That was before I met you.” That’s even more outlandish than blaming alcohol for your own words. “She believed him,” Joe says. He laments that his daughter is a kindhearted optimist. Joe says: “She wants to believe the best in people.” But then Joe really lays into Nicole. “She isn’t mature enough to understand people will take advantage of her,” he claims. Yikes! Joe gets even meaner, saying: “She’s a foolish young lady.” Hmmm. Maybe we should take some things — at least character assessments — that Joe Fouraker says with a grain of salt. We may have overlooked something in our latest recap of Little People, Big World. As has been the case over the past few weeks on this TLC favorite, most of the installment centered on the rising tension between Matt and Amy Roloff, which appears to even be placing the future of the family farm at risk . But what about the future of Tori and Zach Roloff? Is the couple really getting set to welcome a second child into their adorable fold? Granted, these Roloffs have only been parents for just over a year, having said an excited hello to son Jackson Kyle last May. But there’s been constant chatter for weeks now that Tori is pregnant again … although the evidence behind these claims has been flimsy at best. On this past Tuesday’s episode of Little People, Big World, Tori and Zach actually addressed the possiiblity of expanding their family. No, it doesn’t sound as though Tori is expecting at this exact moment — but her husband sort of wishes she were. “It’s a ton of work taking care of a child, but it’s very rewarding,” Zach said at one point to the camera, adding: “Being a dad’s been great. Jackson’s the cutest little thing. I would love to have, like, a little pack. I definitely want to have more kids.” It’s safe to assume this will happen eventually, and maybe it will even happen fairly soon. But Tori has one demand before she’s willing to consider a brother or sister for her firstborn: She wants to get a dog first. This isn’t a common demand by a parent already dealing with a one-year old, but dogs are also totally awesome, so we can see where Tori is coming from. Zach, however, countered that that if a dog entered the picture, then the hierarchy in the house was going to push him even further down. So he wasn’t really having it. The reality star basically shot down the idea, prompting Tori to hilariously tell her husband that “the shop is closed.” (We don’t need to translate this for our readers, do we? Just think about it, okay…) Zach subsequently made us laugh at well, telling Tori that shutting her legs to him in bed will be her “loss.” LOL. We really do adore these two and their dynamic. “We fully disagree on the dog situation and what child we want next,” Tori said to conclude this segment on the episode. Oh well. For now, we’re certainly content with photos of Jackson and with updates on Jackson, such as how he’s taking swim lessons and bouncing back well from injury . The the delight of millions of fans, Ariana Grande is now engaged to Pete Davidson . It happened fast, but sometimes, love is like that. Though we've already seen Ariana's engagement ring , Pete has now washed away any lingering doubts by saying it out loud. Folks, Pete cannot contain his enthusiasm. Can you blame him. He feels like he won the lottery. On The Tongight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , Pete Davidson and Robert Pattinson were the guests. Ariana is a beloved guest on Fallon's show, and as you can imagine, he definitely brought up her name when speaking to Pete. Jimmy Fallon says: “Now, you know that you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show.” Pete's boyish excitement cannot be contained. “But I did, though!” Pete says. The audience replies with cheers and applause. After Fallon offers his congratulations, Pete offers a very apt description of the situation. “I feel like I won a contest.,” Pete says. “So sick.” Ariana isn't just an extremely talented singer, an actress, an activist, a gay icon, and a beloved social media personality. She's also just incredibly hot, and Pete seems truly head-over-heels. Fallon asks: “How are you handling it all right now?” Pete replies: “It’s f–king lit, Jimmy.” We would imagine so. “It's so funny,” Pete shares. “Walking down the street.” Keep in mind that Pete has been famous for years because he is a cast member of Saturday Night Live . In fact, debates over whether he or Colin Jost is the most attractive cast member at the moment are not uncommon on social media or among friends. But now, when he is recognized, the reactions that he elicits are a little different. “It's so funny,” Pete says. “Because dudes are walking by, and they're like:” Pete mimes tipping a hat in a casual salute or a gesture of respect. That's cute. “Some dude came up to me,” Pete continues. “And said: 'yo, man, you gave me hope.'” The implication being that Pete has managed to get engaged to a girl out of his league — to one of the most attractive women on the planet — without being more famous than she is or richer than her. Pete admits that he started to feel a little unsulted, saying: “And I didn't know I was that ugly! Jesus.” Pete is, of course, very much not ugly. But he is still counting his blessings. “Yeah,” Pete admits. “I'm a lucky motherf–ker.” That's true! But so is Ariana. Arianators have celebrated this welcome news. Naturally, her fans are happy when she is happy. Many are relieved to see that she is no longer in a toxic relationship with someone whose personal substance abuse issues make him a danger to himself and others. (Though Pete was never a danger, per se, he has experienced and overcome a mild substance abuse issue and has been outspoken about his mental health) Some critics have accused Pete of “robbing the cradle,” which is absurd. Age and height aren't synonyms, or Ariana would be feeling nervous about the sixth grade. They're both about the same age, but Ariana, who turns 25 next week, is a few months older than Pete. Pete will not turn 25 until September.
