It's been a little over a year since Ryan Edwards married Mackenzie Standifer , and we probably don't need to tell you that he hasn't been the greatest husband in the world during that time. Ryan has been arrested ; he's had restraining orders issued against him; he's fallen off the wagon; he's been verbally abusive to his pregnant wife. And of course, Ryan has been caught cheating on Mackenzie multiple times. Edwards has a lengthy history of infidelity, but even the professional baby daddy's most ardent critics thought he'd stop screwing around after Mackenzie stuck by his side during the year from hell. Are we living, not in the real world, but in a heavy-handed political cartoon? Because it’s looking that way. Melania Trump went to visit one of the children internment facilities that her husband’s administration has been using to hold immigrant parents separately from their parents. But some people feel that she really didn’t care. They think that because she wore a jacket stating, in massive letters, that she really didn’t care. (Here’s a clearer look at the jacket’s words — it’s not an uncommon sight on Instagram models) This is … positively surreal. See, while an Instagram model might show off a sassy jacket for whatever reason, the context of the First Lady’s visit is not. She was visiting an internment camp that holds children that her husband’s policy has separated from their parents as they are all detained. While some of the detained unlawfully crossed the border (a federal misdemeanor, not unlike using the American flag in advertising) and others arrived to seek asylum, which is legal, the humanitarian issue was that children were being kept in cages. Yes, cages. While ICE contacted news outlets to inform them that they objected to the characterization of the fenced-in enclosures that held innocent children as “cages,” even ICE admitted that it was not inaccurate. While within the facility, Melania asked “How can I help to reunite these children with their families as quickly as possible?” Only her husband, or Congress, can make that happen right now.
We never thought we'd need to say this, but here we go: There's a big difference between getting married on board an airplane and having sexual intercourse on board an airplane. The former arrangement can be pretty romantic, despite its unusual setting, as evidenced by the following video: The latter, though? It's just weird and gross and dirty, despite being sort of admirable. We say this because a man and a woman were recently videotaped while very clearly getting it on while flying about 35,000 feet over the ground. This isn't the first time a couple has joined what society has deemed The Mile High Club, but it's gotta be one of the first times they have dared to do so without going into the bathroom first. Seriously! These two just starting humping on their seats! “My mom and dad were just trying to have a peaceful trip to Mexico and then they sent me this……..” Twitter user @kileytully wrote alongside the borderline NSFW footage, which was filmed by her mother. The video has been viewed over 4.2 million times since it went live — and it's easy to see why. How often do you see a woman just straddle a man mid-flight and thrust all around? Here's the thing, though: these two nearly got away with it! At one point in the video, the mother of the aforementioned Twitter user pans around to the rest of the cabin, showing happily unaware fellow travelers. Granted, we assume, if someone had gotten up to use the restroom, he or she would have seen what was going on. But we almost can't blame the horny couple in question for trying to get away with their lewd act. It's not like any nudity is showing! NOTE: Silver Airways has confirmed the video was taken on one of its flights, according to the Daily Mail, and also told the outlet it is working to confirm its authenticity … but did not condone the type of behavior. Like Real Housewives, the cast is chosen in part for its affluence. But how much do you have to pay a group of dramatic rich people to air their dirty laundry? 2. How much is, say, Chelsea Meissner paid? According to RadarOnline, ALL of the stars of Southern Charm are paid the same, flat rate of $25,000. But it’s a little complicated for a few of them. 3. So … what is that, per season? Southern Charm airs 15 episodes per season. So at $25,000 for a single episodes, that’s $375,000 in a season. Not bad for Cameran Eubanks and her costars, though some Real Housewives rake in over $1 million per season. 4. Last week, fans were shocked by photos of Johnny Depp looking gaunt and frail while on tour with his band in Europe. If you haven’t seen the image in question, just imagine what Johnny would look like if he had spent the past few months preparing for a live-action sequel to the Corpse Bride . Or, ya know … you can just see for yourself in the pic below: Look, Depp superfans are a real and terrifying bunch, and we know better than to needlessly provoke them, so before you scroll down to the comments to excoriate us for cracking jokes about a dying man, let us make one thing clear: Johnny Depp is probably not dying. In fact, he’s probably just fine. In fact, his reps have already issued a statement claiming that he’s losing weight on purpose and is healthier than he’s been in years. But none of that will stop the Australian tabloids from working their readers up into a lather with claims that Depp is on his deathbed. In case you’re not familiar, Aussie tabloids make British tabloids look like freakin’ New York Times in terms of journalistic integrity, which is really saying something, as British tabloids have been putting US tabloids to shame in terms of, well, shamelessness for the past couple decades. Basically, just think of everything Donald Trump has said about the mainstream media in the past two years and know that all of those things are actually true of the Aussie tabloids. Anyway, one scandal sheet from Down Under has demonstrated an obsession with Johnny’s well-being that’s matched only by every single Hot Topic clerk on the planet. In a piece with the admirably restrained and subtle title of “What’s Killing Johnny?” a magazine that’s apparently known only as NW claimed that sources close to the actor are deeply concerned that he’s on his last (fatally skinny) legs. “His friends are worried he’s keeping quiet about a serious illness,” says an almost certainly made-up “insider.” “It’s well known that he’s a heavy drinker and the fear is his frail appearance could be linked to drugs or booze… or both.” The insider claims that one illness in particular has Johnny fans concerned: “Many are worried he possibly has liver cancer or something because he’s so skinny and has got, like, no hair now.” Lol at the claim that “many” people jumped to that same ultra-specific conclusion. “Johnny’s looking slimmer than usual. Must be the liver cancer,” cried the masses in unison. We guess the folks at NW can skate by on a technicality here, as Johnny Depp will almost certainly not live forever, and is thus dying, in a sense. But if we know Johnny — and we don’t — he’ll be shambling across the stage like the reanimated cadaver of his idol Keith Richards long after everyone has stopped caring or paying attention.
We hate to say it, but… Yep, him too. In the wake of horrifying accusations against Chris Hardwick , Nerdist Industries – the content company founded this television host and personality – has severed all ties with the comedian. The breaking news comes about one day after actress Chloe Dykstra accused an ex-boyfriend (who she did not name, yet who everyone assumed to be Hardwick) of abhorrent behavior during her time dating him. “Chris Hardwick had no operational involvement with Nerdist for the two years preceding the expiration of his contract in December 2017,” said the company via statement on Friday, adding: “He no longer has any affiliation with Legendary Digital Networks. “The company has removed all reference to Mr. Hardwick even as the original Founder of Nerdist pending further investigation.” Nerdist also posted the following message on Twitter, which aims to assist those who have been a victim of abuse. In an essay written on Medium titled “Rose-Colored Glasses: A Confession,” Chloe Dykstra, a 29-year old actress who is the daughter of an ex-baseball player, outlined an allegedly abusive relationship with an unnamed ex-boyfriend that she endured in her early ’20s. During this romance, Dykstra claims she suffered “long-term abuse,” sexual assault and career blacklisting. Early in this relationship, Dykstra (pictured below) alleged that there were “rules” established by her lover that she had to follow, including reserving her nights for him… not having close male friends… not drinking alcohol … and not talking in public places out of fear people were listening due to his celebrity. She wrote in this essay that, after the two started dating, she once turned down sex because she wasn’t feeling well. Simple and understandable, right? Not to this man. “He responded, ‘I just want to remind you, the reason my last relationship didn’t work out was because of the lack of sex.’ It was a veiled threat. I succumbed,” she wrote, expounding: “Every night, I laid there for him, occasionally in tears. He called it ‘starfishing.’ He thought the whole idea was funny.” Totally and completely disgusting. Again, Dykstra did not name Hardwick. However, she Liked the Tweet of an Internet user who linked to her her story with the caption, “Chris Hardwick is trash.” In her essay, the actress also explains that she was referring to a man nearly 20 years older who went from “a podcaster to a powerhouse CEO of his own company.” This is a picture of Hardwick with Dykstra: ” I made the choice to accept his controlling behavior, as he’d just left his long-term girlfriend and I assumed that he was going through some serious emotional discomfort,” she wrote. “This was a huge mistake.” Dykstra wrote about that she pondered suicide multiple times and had reached the lowest point in her life when she was looking over the 101 freeway while standing on an overpass. After three years, she ultimately left Hardwick for someone else. In response, she claimed this boyfriend contacted companies she worked with to get her fired by threatening to never work with them. Moreover, she said an unnamed woman she had trusted helped destroy her friendships. At 25 years old, Dykstra said she was blacklisted. Chloe ended her post by saying she is now in a “much better place” and: “This story, post, whatever this is, serves as both closure for me as I say farewell to my twenties and stumble my way into my thirties, and it serves as a warning for every single one of you, regardless of gender… “Please, please, keep an eye out for those red flags.” Hardwick has not yet responded to this story. Sophia Bush has been divorced from Chad Michael Murray for well over a decade. The former One Tree Hill co-stars got married in April of 2005 and split up just five months later, shattering the hopes and dreams of all who watched and adored their WB drama. This all played out a very long time ago, yet Bush stopped by Andy Cohen’s Sirius XM radio show this week and dredged up the ancient and awkward past. In an interview with the Bravo executive, Bush actually said she didn’t even marry Murray out of love. She agreed to the legal union due to pressure from those associated with One Tree Hill. “It was like the second season, but everyone’s been 22 and stupid,” Bush said of the relationship, adding that marriage “was not a thing I actually really wanted to do” and later explaining: “Ladies have to learn how to take up space in the way that men are taught that they are entitled to.” Interesting, huh? And very layered and sort of vague and confusing, right? “If you didn’t want to get married, how do you get to the point of being talked into it?” asked Cohen. “How do you let everybody down?” the actress responded, continuing: “And how do you – what’s the fight and when you have bosses telling you that you’re the only person who gets a person to work on time and 200 people either get to see their kids at night or they don’t because our days start on time?” So… Bush was talked into being with Murray because she could control him on set? “Life is always loaded,” she told Cohen. “What the public knows ever is never – it’s not the tip of the iceberg. “Hilarie [Burton] and I used to laugh and we were like, ‘If we had a behind-the-scenes show, the drama would be so much f-cking better than the drama that the writers write.'” Shortly after her interview with viral, Bush tried to walk back her apparent criticism of Murray. She Tweeted that she was making fun of herself, not her former co-star and husband. “When you’re taking the piss out of yourself – b/c people can’t let the past go & you really wish they would – & gossip rags try to turn it into inappropriate drama rather than self-deprication,” she wrote. “Don’t twist people’s words, y’all. If it wasn’t clear, I was making fun of MYSELF.” Murray, however, was among those who took offense to Bush bringing up their marriage all this time later. As you’ve likely heard by now, Farrah Abraham was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly assaulting a male staff member while staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Farrah spent the night in jail but has since been released on bail. Thus far, charges have not been filed but prosecutors have until Friday to do so. Farrah’s 9-year-old daughter, Sophia, was in the hotel at the time of the incident, but she was reportedly asleep in her room and did not bear witness to her mother’s meltdown. In short, no one was seriously injured and for Sophia, it was no more traumatic than any typical day of being Farrah Abraham’s daughter. Thus, it’s safe to make fun of this situation, and folks — there’s so, so much to laugh at here. Shortly after leaving prison, Farrah vomited up one of her most nonsensical word salads to date in a video she submitted to TLC. Like all things Farrah, it must be seen to be believed: Farrah Abraham Talks Arrest: I Was Targeted! “I don’t know who called the cops, why people called the cops … I was focused on my friends and then someone was trying to be involved, another guest,” Farrah said in the clip, before trying to make herself out to be some sort of feminist hero. “I hope no other female finds herself in this position or situation, and I know it’s very hard being a public figure or ‘celebrity,’ if you will.” It’s nice that we’re becoming more ‘woke’ as a society , Farrah seems to be saying, but what about the most marginalized group of all — celebrities! Anyway, for the first time since Farrah was fired from Teen Mom OG , she has the internet’s full attention — and she’s not letting go of it without a fight. Farrah took to Instagram Live today to continue spewing her thoughts about the incident, and it seems she’ll be checking into a lot of Air BnBs in the future. “Hey guys! I wanted to say thank you for all of the well wishes and concern,” Farrah told her followers. “It’s sort of sad sometimes when you’re out and you just can’t have fun and people want to attack you and get you all in that trouble,” she added. “So, I’m blessed by God, and I don’t ever want to be attacked again at a hotel.” In her mind, she presumably conjured the hashtag “2Blessed2BStressed.” The specificity of Farrah’s comment left Farrah fans puzzled. She doesn’t want to be attacked in a hotel again?! Is she done staying in hotels, or is she just gonna wear a beekeeper suit from now on? Farrah didn’t respond to requests for elaboration, but we’re sure she’s working on another lengthy video rant at this very moment. Stevie J is in major trouble, and we’re not even talking about his alleged assault on Erica Mena at the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta reunion. He has lost his appeal over $1.3 million in child support that he owes. Is he going to end up behind bars? We know that hip hop artists sometimes earn increased social credibility (“street cred”) from imprisonment, but heading to jail for being a deadbeat dad … probably doesn’t qualify. Stevie J was “found guilty of knowingly withholding child support payments for his son and daughter over 18 years.” That could cost him — seven figures, to be exact. And Bossip reports that he has lost his latest appeal. The appeal itself was an oddity, causing his first lawyer to quit working the case, citing that he had essentially no chance of winning and that it was a fool’s errand to try. Stevie J persisted, believing that the ruling was “unfair,” even though he agreed to the payment in February of 2017. Here’s where it gets weirder. Stevie J opted to represent himself in his appeal. If you genuinely cannot afford an attorney to handle your appeal, that’s fine. Otherwise, try to avoid representing yourself in court over anything more significant than a parking ticket. And it turns out that the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star didn’t exactly miss his calling. According to court documents, he “let deadline after deadline pass on the case without any action.” Which is why the judge dismissed this appeal. But will Stevie J go to jail after being found guilty of knowingly not paying child support to the tune of $1.3 million? It doesn’t look like it. Reports say that he avoided prison when he agreed to make the payments — though, at the time, the U.S. attorney was seeking to have him put behind bars for six months. And perhaps this was why he gave up on his appeal. If he was already going to pay up and if he wasn’t going to go to prison, why bother? It would have been nice if he had elected to not waste the court’s time and notify them that he was withdrawing his appeal, though. It is a strange and confusing case. The moral, we suppose, is to just pay your child support. The guy’s net worth is estimated to be around $5 million. Don’t be a deadbeat. On a more serious note, however, is what Stevie J allegedly did to Erica Mena at the reunion. It began with a verbal altercation, which is the bread and butter of reality television and usually no big deal. But things escalated when Stevie J’s criticisms of Erica turned into insults of her 11-year-old son. Specifically, he used an anti-gay slur, calling the child a “f–got.” Unacceptable under any circumstances, and not the first time that he has been accused of homophobia. Some reports say that Erica responded by slapping Stevie J. But it sounds like what happened next was much more serious — with Stevie J allegedly jumping on top of her and attacking her. Reports say that Stevie J was pulled off of Erica by security and expelled from the building. Many fans expect that he will be fired for this shocking display of alleged violence and homophobia. Erica posted to Instagram but quickly deleted a video in which she referred to him as a “b–ch” who “likes to fight girls.” It seemed that she was still feeling understandably heated from their alleged confrontation, but she may have been instructed to delete it or simply thought better of it.
