Former NFL Star Will Allen Facing Decades Behind Bars Looks like Will Allen’s crimes could get him put away for most of the rest of his days. The former baller got caught running a Ponzi scheme and now decades years in the slammer. Via Bleacher Report : Former NFL cornerback Will Allen is facing decades in prison after being indicted on 23 felony counts stemming from an alleged Ponzi scheme run by the 36-year-old and a co-conspirator. Allen faces “12 counts of wire fraud, six counts of aggravated identity theft, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of illegal monetary transactions,” according to records obtained by Jeff Ostrowski of the Palm Beach Post. Each charge of wire fraud could result in a 20-year prison sentence, according to Ostrowski, with shorter sentences for the other felonies. Prosecutors allege Allen and Susan Daub were the heads of a business, Capital Financial Partners, that offered short-term loans to professional athletes but ultimately defrauded investors of nearly $14 million. Of the $31.7 million obtained from investors, only $18 million went to the loans. “The defendants sold investors on the idea of lending money to pro athletes, but we allege that’s not where a large portion of the investors’ money went,” Paul G. Levenson, director of the SEC’s Boston office, said in a statement (via Ostrowski). “As in any Ponzi scheme, the appearance of a successful investment was only an illusion sustained by lies.” Life comes at you fast…

Donovan McNabb Arrested For DUI Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb got popped for yet another DUI over the weekend. Via ESPN : Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb has been arrested in Arizona on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol for the second time in 18 months, according to police documents released Tuesday. Police in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert said McNabb was cited and released from a police facility after being arrested June 28 following a non-injury collision late that night. McNabb, 38, told officers he had just left a sports bar and was driving to his Phoenix-area home. A police report stated McNabb’s vehicle rear-ended a car driven by the wife of a Gila River tribal police officer and McNabb appeared to be impaired. “While Donovan spoke, I noticed a strong, fruity odor on his breath. I noticed Donovan’s eyes were watery and very bloodshot and his speech was slurred,” a Gilbert officer wrote in his report. The officer said he asked McNabb how much alcohol he had to drink. “Nothing,” McNabb said, according to the police report, adding that he had a cold and was taking a cough syrup and eating two cough drops. The officer made McNabb spit out the cough drops and gave him a battery of tests, noting six signs of impairment. McNabb “was not able to stand without visibly swaying back and forth and side to side in a rotational pattern,” the report said. Police said a blood sample was sent to the Mesa Police Crime Lab for analysis. The results haven’t been released. SMH! Sounds like it may be time for McNabb to seek some help.

According to TMZ reports : Warren Sapp has just been charged with 3 counts of domestic violence stemming from an incident in Las Vegas … where officials say he bit and stomped on his girlfriend’s head … TMZ Sports has learned. According to official documents obtained by TMZ Sports … Sapp attacked his longtime girlfriend Chalyce Moore on April 28th at the M Resort in Las Vegas. According to the police report, the two had been arguing … and Sapp allegedly threw a margarita in her face in their private cabana by the pool. Sapp allegedly grabbed Chalyce by the arm or purse and violently pulled on her … nearly taking her down to the ground. The couple left the resort together in a car — heading toward Chalyce’s condo. During the car ride, the Chalyce says she got sick of arguing and told Sapp to get out of the car … but he responded by BITING HER MIDDLE FINGER. At one point, Sapp got out of the car and asked another driver for a ride. The driver denied his request. Type of grown azz man bites a woman’s finger???? According to the docs, they got back in the car together and eventually got to the condo — where the violence continued. Once inside, Sapp allegedly threw a belt at her … and she threw it back at him … and during the altercation, she ended up on the floor. While she was down, Chalyce claims Sapp stepped on her face while wearing white Jordan sandals. Cops say they went to the M Resort and watched security footage that backed up her story. They now have that video. Chalyce’s friend told police that Sapp’s GF has sustained multiple injuries — including a bruise on her lower lip, abrasions and bruises on her shoulders, bruising on her legs, and a bruise on one of her temples with a checkerboard imprint (presumably from Sapp’s Jordan sandals). Just lock this fool up before he beats up some more women. SMH
